Chapter 230
Chapter 230
Isaac was a little annoyed by how blase Patricia seemed.
If Patricia said something along the lines of "I don't want you to be with Adeline", he would've made Adeline disappear in a heartbeat.
So why doesn't she say anything?
Isaac took a gulp of coffee and checked the time.
"I need to head on-site. You can go home now."
Patricia watched as he strode coolly toward his desk to retrieve a document before taking his coat off the coat rack and hooking it over his arm.
Then, he walked out of the office.
Patricia wasn't used to him being this aloof. She pouted.
She was certain that he must've gotten into a fight with Adeline, and that was what was causing his foul mood.
Patricia glanced at the time and her eyes instantly widened.
"Oh! I'm going to be late."
She had a class to attend today. It was a private class with Tiffany who had high hopes for her and wanted to groom her talents.
Patricia drove to the school in a hurry. When she arrived at the classroom, Tiffany was already there working on a sample.
"Sorry for being late, Ms. Tiffany."
Patricia stood behind Tiffany and apologized.
Tiffany turned around and flashed her a faint smile.
"I just came not too long ago. Your assignment today is to design a collection inspired by the lotus flower."
Patricia had taught herself fashion in the past, so she was familiar with all the basics.
Tiffany wasn't teaching a course in fashion design. She was here to teach Patricia specifically.
Therefore, she wasn't here to teach Patricia the basics, but something far more realistic and applicable instead.
Patricia quickly took her seat and opened her sketchbook. She bit down on her pencil and began to allow her imagination to run wild.
Within two hours, Patricia came up with three designs. Tiffany's eyes lit up once she took a look at the designs.
"You did a great job with these, Patricia. I'll give you one week to draw the rest of the collection. I'm launching a new collection in three months. When the time comes, you can launch this collection as well."
Patricia never thought she'd get so lucky.
"Can I really do that, Ms. Tiffany?"
Even though Patricia had a lot of interest in fashion, it had been ages since she last had any confidence in herself, and it wasn't something that could be easily built back up again.
Tiffany continued to study the three designs. First of all, there was a knee-length gown and a full-length dress. They were a little similar, but each was unique in its own way. NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.
Patricia had also designed a pants suit, which combined a more masculine cut with a touch of elegant refinement that was commonly associated with the lotus flower. She's a genius indeed.
I wouldn't expect any less from my daughter. She's just as gifted as I am.
"You can. Trust me."
After studying all three designs, Tiffany added a few touches and the designs almost seemed to come alive.
Patricia had a newfound understanding as well. Tiffany's additions to the designs sparked her imagination. Now I get it. You can do it like that too.
Tiffany passed the sketchbook back to Patricia. "That's all for today's class. I've made a note of all the details you need to pay attention to. Also, here are a few books that I want you to read. I want to see all of your designs in one week."
Patricia nodded. "Alright. Thank you, Ms. Tiffany."
Tiffany was a very busy woman. It was already difficult for her to take time out of her schedule to teach Patricia, so she left as soon as the class ended.
Patricia continued to sit in the classroom. She looked at the sample Tiffany was working on earlier and surmised that it must be part of Tiffany's collection for the next season.
She rested her chin on her hand as she thought to herself, It's so pretty! When will I ever get to showcase my designs in a fashion show of my own?
Patricia's phone started ringing and she picked it up.
"Hi, Darcie."
It was Darcie who was calling her. She had transferred the money to Darcie today, so Darcie must've just woken up and seen the notification.
"What's going on, Tricia? Shouldn't the money be returned to them?"
Patricia chuckled. "I thought so too, but the person refused to accept it and insisted that I don't show up at the company again, so what can I do?"
Darcie sighed in relief. Isaac must've been involved in this unusual stroke of luck.
"Are you free now, Tricia? Let's grab a bite together."
