The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 179

So, those people were snatching the herbs? This worried Rachel even more. "Did they say who they were?"

The purchaser said, "I asked them, and they snapped my leg! The nerve of them!"

She looked the purchasers over and asked Matthew, "Can you treat them?"

He shook his head. Injuries like those needed time to recover. He couldn't do much about them.

Tracy asked, "Aren't you a doctor? Can't you treat something like that?"

He said coolly, "I can't be bothered to do anything for something like this. Just take them to a regular hospital and have a regular doctor treat them. If the injuries can't be treated there, then they can come to me."

She curled her lip without saying anything else. Rachel had someone take the three purchasers to the hospital. Then, she looked at Sean Jackson, the purchasing manager. "Why don't you go check on things in Greenmont Town?" He looked pained. "I might know a thing or two about purchasing herbs, but I don't think I'd be any good in a fight."

Because of this, Rachel couldn't help thinking about how important it was to set up a team of bodyguards. She was still trying to think of a way to resolve the matter when Tracy stepped forward. "I'll go."

Rachel thought about it, then said, "Let Matthew drive you there."

Tracy gave him a disdainful look. "Do you have the nerve to go with me? Forget it if you're scared."

Knowing that she was friends with Layla, Matthew could imagine that she'd probably learned some martial arts. He just didn't know how good she was. Her tone pissed him off a little though.

He shrugged and said nonchalantly, "I'm just a driver. I'm not gonna get into any fights."

With that, he turned to head to the basement parking lot. Tracy snorted. "What a coward. I can't believe Sheldon actually suspects he killed Jeffrey. How's that even possible?"

Rachel said, "Don't talk about him like that. Be safe, okay? Matthew's a man, so he can help you when it might not be convenient for you to handle the situation."This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

She'd seen what Tracy was capable of. When they were still studying, she'd been harassed by a few male classmates. However, Tracy had dealt with them in the blink of an eye, leaving them bruised and battered. Still, that didn't mean she wasn't worried. The Carter family kept running into problems, and it gave her an ominous feeling. It was almost as if there was something huge lurking in the darkness and eyeing them.

Tracy laughed. "Didn't you say he's a

pervert? Why are you speaking up for him now? If you ask me, he's

completely unworthy of you. Younet

should be with someone who Kas brains and brawns, not a weak

doctor like him."

Just then, Matthew pulled up in a car. Tracy waved at Rachel before getting in. Matthew drove off slowly. He was a slow and steady driver-the speedometer never went above 60 mph.

Tracy couldn't help shaking her head at that. He was driving such a good car at such a slow speed, and it only reinforced her impression of him as a coward.

She said, "Someone like you really shouldn't go for beauties like Rachel. You can't even protect her if another man wants to do something to her."

Matthew didn't say anything as he focused on the road. He didn't want to respond to Tracy or get into a fight with her.

Half an hour later, they arrived at the entrance of Bison Herbs in Greenmont Town. The security guard denied them entrance, so they could only park outside. Tracy told Matthew, "You wait here. I'll be back after asking them something. It'll be quick."

He grunted in acknowledgment. Then, finding it inappropriate, he got out of the car and followed her.

They headed toward the building, but a security guard stopped them. "Who are you looking for? You can't enter without registering first!"

Tracy gave him a cool look. "I'm here to check on this company's taxes. Do you have something to say about that?"

The security guard was silenced by her demeanor. After a brief pause, he headed back to the guardhouse to make a call.

Tracy scoffed and continued toward the building. After a few steps, she turned around and frowned at Matthew.

She said disdainfully, "You're just causing trouble by following me. Hurry up and head back to the car. Just wait for me there."

"Matthew was rendered speechless. The way she thought he was inconsequential was too much! It only fueled his desire to see just how strong she was.

"Come on, I'll just watch you from a distance. I swear I won't cause trouble for you."

She held her head high and said arrogantly, "At least you know your limits. I won't have time to protect you if a fight breaks out later.

"Honestly, I don't understand why Rae had to send a coward like you with me. You're just adding to the trouble!"

A coward? Matthew's eyes twitched,

but he ignored Tracy's insult. Still,

how dare she say that about him? He wanted nothing more than to pin her to the ground and teach he a lesson. He would show her what a real man was like!

At that moment, five burly men burst out of a nearby office.
