The Contracted Ever After (Cordelia and Ronan)

Chapter 335

Chapter 335

After visiting Ronan's office, Ronan asked Cordelia, "What was the call about?"

"PrimeBuild Contractors wants us to provide a comparison with last year's figures. I prepared those

figures while I was at First Enterprises, and I can't just hand them over. If I did, it would be a violation of

professional ethics. I fear they might use this to pressure you to achieve their goals. They've been

wanting to collaborate with Lumos Enterprises but haven't found the opportunity. I refused to show

them the figures and told them to get it themselves," Cordelia explained.

Ronan, who was busy signing documents, paused to listen to Cordelia and then commented, "Well

done." NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.

He genuinely admired Cordelia.

When Jordan was around, he had always obstructed Cordelia from entering the Audit Department,

probably fearing she might expose his wrongdoings. Thankfully, Ronan had already taken care of

Jordan.

A woman who kept her accounts impeccably, Wyatt had praised Cordelia numerous times in front of

him. With a Master's degree backing her, how formidable would she be?

"Do you want to leave with me this afternoon?" Ronan proposed.

Cordelia thought for a moment. "Ms. Milana is going with Tristi to the 'High Society' set. I might just tag

along, so I probably won't go with you."

"What if I miss you?" Ronan asked her.

Cordelia chuckled. "We see each other every day. You're just sweet-talking."

"You think I'm sweet-talking you? Why don't you give it a shot?"

Cordelia turned her head away. "No!"

Ronan didn't press further and resumed his work.

Cordelia's phone buzzed with a message from Milana on Messenger. [Cordelia, ready to leave?]

[Sure, I'll message Tristi.]

As she messaged Tristi, she informed Ronan, "Ms. Milana is ready to leave, and so am I."

"Be careful, tell Janice to meet you downstairs in advance."

"Okay." Cordelia quickly typed on her phone while responding to Ronan.

Cordelia and Milana got into Tristi's car, chatting casually in the backseat.

"Cordelia, did you get any stretch marks after you got pregnant?" Milana asked casually.

"Stretch marks? I don't know." Cordelia frowned. "I haven't paid attention."

Milana rolled her eyes at her. "Most women start using olive oil from the moment they get pregnant.

You're almost due, and you don't even know what stretch marks are? Doesn't Mr. Evans care?"

Cordelia chuckled. "Perhaps he doesn't know either."

"Do you mind if I check?" Milana asked.

"Not at all. It's all women in here anyway." Cordelia laughed.

Milana leaned over to inspect Cordelia's tummy.

"Huh, Cordelia, you must be lucky because you're young. Not a single stretch mark. You'll still look like

a young lady even after the babies are born." Milana chuckled.

"Really?" Cordelia asked.

"Why would I lie to you?"

Cordelia beamed.

They chatted while Milana used her phone to arrange a meeting with the people from Pulse

Technologies at the same hotel as last time, Azure View Hotel. The people were bringing Milana the

materials.

Coincidentally, Cordelia received a news alert on her phone. [Former popular actress blinds her

assistant in a feud.]

Cordelia opened the link, and sure enough, it was about Deanna injuring Samantha's eyes. The story

was that Samantha had gone to the location where Deanna was filming a commercial and had insulted

her. Deanna had reacted by flinging a handful of lime, which had burnt Samantha's eyes.

Cordelia was puzzled and thought to herself, “How did things get so bad between these two?”

What on earth happened?

Just then, a message from Sienna popped up. [Cordelia, did you talk to Mr. Evans about calming

Deanna down? She's gone and injured Samantha's eyes today!]

Cordelia hadn't figured out how to reply to Sienna yet, but she and Milana had arrived at their

destination.
