Chapter 1228 Niggling Sense Of Dread
Chapter 1228 Niggling Sense Of Dread
By the time Ethen hurried over to the hospital with the fashion designer, Arissa was in the midst of having her supper.
So as to not disturb Arissa's rest, Benjamin got up and left the ward to discuss with the designer the theme for his wife's and daughter's outfits.
After waiting a short while, the bored Arissa gave the children a call and talked to them for an hour.
Seeing that Benjamin hadn't returned, she looked toward the door curiously.
It's already late. Is the designer still around?
Just as she was about to go out, Benjamin came back and closed the door behind him. When he met her quizzical eyes, he flashed a smile at her.
“Are you heading to the bathroom?”
Arissa shook her head. “What were both of you discussing? You were gone for so long.”
“Oh, it was a short chat. I was mostly discussing work with Ethen.” Benjamin came over and cleaned up the trash.
For the subsequent period, Arissa stayed in the hospital for observation, while Benjamin would be working next to her and only go to the office when necessary.
The couple had essentially made the hospital their home. Benjamin would go back to Yaleview
occasionally to pick up some things when Arissa was required to stay for another ten days.
One particular morning, Arissa felt inexplicably nervous and could even feel her eyelids twitching.
Worried that something might have happened to the children, she gave Gavin a call and waited a while before it connected. By the time Ethen hurried over to the hospital with the fashion designer, Arissa was in the midst of having her supper.
“Mommy, what is it? Are you missing us already?”
The sound of his perky voice eased Arissa's concerns as she asked softly, “Gavin, are your brothers and sister all with you?”
“Mm-hmm. We're playing games, Mommy. Do you want me to gather them?” Gavin asked Arissa happily as he watched his siblings nearby.
“It's fine. You guys carry on playing, and remember to be careful not to fall down!” Arissa reminded Gavin before ending the call.
As it was about time for them to go to school, she didn't want to interrupt them.
A short while later, Arissa's heart began to race for no reason, causing her to call home this time.
Darius and Mary were doing fine.
Upon letting out a sigh, she stroked her chest and wondered what was going on.
The fact that she had made two consecutive phone calls didn't escape Benjamin's notice. He stared intently at Arissa who was in deep thought.
“What's wrong?”
Arissa looked up at him as she continued stroking her chest. “For some strange reason, my eyelids have been twitching and I've been feeling anxious.”
It's as if something bad is about to happen.
“Is it because you didn't get enough rest?” Benjamin walked over with a frown.
He placed his hand on her forehead. Her temperature is normal.
“No. I actually slept very well last night.” Arissa lowered his hand. “I don't feel unwell. I just have this niggling sense of dread that I can't shake off.”
“Let me get Shaun to take a look at you.” Benjamin called Shaun at once.
“Let me get Shoun to toke o look ot you.” Benjomin colled Shoun ot once.
Arisso didn't stop him, for she too felt it necessory.

“Let me get Shaun to take a look at you.” Benjamin called Shaun at once. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
Arissa didn't stop him, for she too felt it necessary.
Shaun gave up a checkup and didn't find anything wrong with her. He reminded her not to let her imagination run wild and to get more rest.
In a corner of the kindergarten, a bodyguard was lying on the ground unnoticed by anyone.
Zachary and Tim had just emerged from the restroom when two figures came over and covered their mouths.
Tim was momentarily stunned and fainted over the next second.
“Mmm... Mmm...”
Zachary desperately tried to free himself as he kicked his legs frantically in the air. Unfortunately, it was too late for him to hold his breath.
The drug on the handkerchief was just too potent. A single whiff of it was enough to knock him out.
The two black figures carried the two boys and left the kindergarten via the wall at the back, avoiding the surveillance cameras throughout the entire process.
Meanwhile, Gavin, Oliver, Jasper, and Jesse were waiting in the classroom. There was still no sign of the two kidnapped boys even after the school bell rang.
“Why aren't Tim and Zachary back yet?” Oliver knitted his brows curiously.
Jasper and Gavin exchanged glances. They, too, found it strange.
Jesse stared blankly at the door and asked, “Should we go get them?”
