Chapter 46 This is Life
Chapter 46 This is Life
Amber Currie began to pack up. She wanted to leave the house that suffocated her. She did not want
to stay here for another second!
Mia Cavendish was watching a video online when she suddenly heard the door shutting. Did Liam Croft
come back? She hurried out only to see no one there. As she was walking back, she found Amber
Currie's door wide open.
Mia Cavendish walked over to have a look. The room was neat and clean, but the small things
commonly used by girls on the table were gone. Is Amber Currie gone? Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Mia Cavendish was overjoyed. She pulled the closet open and saw that it was empty inside. There
were only a few clothes left.
''It’s weird, these clothes look brand new, and the style and texture are pretty good!''
Mia Cavendish casually turned over the tag of a dress and looked at it. ''Chanel!'' Mia Cavendish was
sure that those clothes were not hers, but how could there be Chanel in Amber Currie's wardrobe?
Standing by the closet for a while, Mia Cavendish suddenly realized. These clothes were bought by
Liam Croft for Amber Currie! All of big brands still had hang tags on them.
Mia Cavendish suddenly wanted to laugh. Liam Croft bought these clothes, but Amber Currie never
wore them!
Ridiculous? The man she loved to death, the man she worshiped like a Prince Charming, pleased other
woman and was ignored!
Too ridiculous! Mia Cavendish wanted to laugh, but tears fell in clusters. Her heart had never felt so
painful that she could hardly breathe, and every cell in her body was crying in pain.
''You don't want it, do you? You don't cherish it, do you? It will be wanted and cherished instead!''
Mia Cavendish went to the bathroom to wash her face and put on makeup again. Her eyebrows were
like a crescent moon with a light bend, her big eyes were charming and gentle, her straight nose, soft
lips, white and delicate oval face. Everything was beautiful, but Liam Croft just didn't see it.
Mia Cavendish took out her phone, dialed a number, and called: "Ethan, what are you doing? I want to
drink. Can you come with me?"
When he received Mia Cavendish's call, Ethan Adams was driving and was so panicked that he almost
ran over a flowerbed by the side of the road.
Mia Cavendish called him? Although they all played together as kids, Mia Cavendish consciously kept
a distance from him since she established a relationship with Liam Croft. She would not call him for
anything.
Ethan Adams just couldn't accept it and questioned her. But Mia Cavendish said that if they continued
to keep in close contact, Liam Croft would get upset.
Ethan Adams had loved Mia Cavendish for 20 years, and Mia Cavendish had loved Liam Croft for 20
years. This was fate, and there was no escaping it. Ethan Adams had already accepted his fate.
Surprisingly, Mia Cavendish took the initiative to call him and even ask him to drink with her!
Liam Croft's shadow flashed in Ethan Adams's mind and he asked, "where's Liam? Is he going too?"
"He is working overtime. Ethan, you come to stay with me." Mia Cavendish's voice sounded like she
was crying.
Twenty years ago, when Ethan Adams fell in love with Mia Cavendish, she was being teased by two
little boys with a blue caterpillar crawling on her skirt. She was in tears, and her voice was hoarse from
crying. She did not look beautiful or cute at all, but Ethan Adams just fell for her.
He couldn't stand seeing her cry.
Even if she was now his sister-in-law, someone else's woman. Hearing her tearful voice, Ethan Adams
still felt distressed.
"OK now, don't cry, where are you? I'll come right now." Ethan Adams asked for the address, hung up
the call, and dialed Liam Croft's phone number.
"Sorry, the subscriber you have dialed is not in service..." the mechanical female voice mechanically
repeated the same sentence.
Ethan Adams tried more than a dozen times, but he couldn't get through.
Gritting his teeth, he turned the car around and drove to the bar Mia Cavendish had mentioned.
There were both good and bad people there, and Mia was such a simple girl. It would be too unsafe for
a girl like her to be there alone.
