Passion 204
Chapter 204
Xavier was sitting in the backseat of the Maybach. He had been in the car the whole night, but Yvette hadn't called him even once.
When he saw her coming out, he rolled down the window. He looked exhausted. "Get in."
She thought he had just returned and was there to blame her for what had happened. So, she didn't get in the car. "If you have something you want to say to me, you can do it right here." Xavier-looked miserable as he said, "We still have half a month left to go."Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Yvette's eyes flashed with a hint of surprise, and she got in the car. He didn't mention what had happened with Daphne at all, and she didn't ask him why he had only just returned.
After the driver started the engine, Xavier said, "Let's return to Lane Mansion today." Yvette didn't understand what was going on. "Why are we going there?"
"There's a holiday coming up in a few days." He paused for a moment and continued, "Didn't you always say that you wanted to stay at the mansion with me?"
She was quiet for a while. Yvette wanted to tell him that she didn't care about the mansion. The reason she had wanted to stay there back then was because she had wanted to be by his side. However, it had been so long, and she didn't want that anymore. There was no chance for them to be together anymore.
She had thought about it for a long time last night. Even if she didn't manage to get pregnant this time, she still had his semen. So, she had opportunities to get pregnant.
As for Noah, now that she had a map of Fortian Manor, she knew how to get him out of there.
She was just worried that Xavier might be unwilling to let her go. Even if she escaped with Noah, he could still bring her back to his side. So, she had no choice but to nod and go along with him. "Sure." Everyone at Lane Mansion looked down on Yvette, even the housekeepers. Xavier didn't know how much she hated it there.
Since it was raining, it seemed like there was a thick fog covering the world. After Yvette followed Xavier out of the car and looked at the huge mansion, she felt immense pressure weighing her down. There were 17 days left.
Their bodyguard held an umbrella over them as Yvette walked toward the mansion with Xavier.

Luther had already been waiting with the housekeepers for a long time. When he had taken the flowers to Dewberry Manor the last time, his impression of Yvette had gotten worse. Yet, he still maintained a respectful facade.
Next to him was a beautiful housekeeper and his daughter, Lynn. Yvette could tell right away that Lynn was looking at Xavier with eyes filled with admiration.
"Mr. Lane, we've prepared your bedroom for you. Lynn will be in charge of taking care of you and Ms. Snyder while you're here."
After Luther informed Lynn of what to do, he got back to his work. Lynn approached Xavier and carefully looked at him. "Is there anything I can help you with, Mr. Xavier?" "No. You may leave us now."
Xavier hated how the mansion was filled with housekeepers. That was also the reason he had moved out of there and started living alone when he had been younger.
After Lynn awkwardly left, Yvette and Xavier went to his room in no time. It was a monochromatic room that was as simple as Xavier.
Yvette changed her shoes and entered the room. Then, she reached out to pat away the water
on her coat.
Xavier blocked her path, and before she could react, he picked her up immediately. "Aren't you forgetting something today?"
They were so close to each other that she could smell the faint smell of cigarettes on him. She knew he had picked up smoking, but she almost hadn't smelled it in the past few days? She wondered if he had smoked last night or that morning.
Seeing how she wasn't answering him, Xavier couldn't hold it in anymore. He placed his hand behind her head and kissed her deeply.
