Chapter 207
Chapter 207
Grandpa Dave was sitting on the couch when he saw Molly looking sick, so he asked caringly,” What’s wrong? Didn’t you get enough sleep? Why do you look so sick?” “I’m fine, grandpa. I just got caught in the rain for a bit, so I have a mild fever.” Molly’s legs felt heavy, and she was finding it hard to walk. ‘Why am I so weak now?’
The triplets just got out of the kitchen. Breakfast was ready, so they were about to call Molly and Grandpa Dave for breakfast.
But when the triplets heard their conversation, they immediately stared at Molly.
“Mommy, are you having a fever?” Alex asked.
‘Mommy looks like it. That’s how I look when I have a fever,’ he thought.
“Yeah, a little.”
The triplets immediately ran up and surrounded her.
“How did you get sick, mommy? It’s because you’re really busy these days, isn’t it?” Claudia held Molly’s hand with a concerned expression. Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
“We’ve already prepared breakfast. You can eat it in the living hall, mommy. I’m going to bring it out for you!” Ben immediately turned back to the kitchen.
Alex walked away as well. “I’m going upstairs to bring you some medicine,” he said. “I’ll pour you some warm water then.” Claudia let go of Molly and walked to the dining table to get some water.
Molly watched as the triplet parted ways; each had their unique way of doing things. But at the end of the day, all of them were just concerned about her.
“Don’t get under the rain anymore, Molly.” Grandpa Dave reminded Molly seriously as he watched the sensible and thoughtful triplets.
‘She’s old enough. Doesn’t she know that health is more important than anything? Molly sat next to Grandpa Dave as she listened to his words of concern. Her heart melted as she watched the triplets being busy for her too.
‘I’m no longer alone now. I have grandpa and my kids to care about me. I’m very happy with a life like this.’
“I will be more mindful next time.” Molly immediately smiled as she spoke in a gentle voice.
Grandpa Dave’s heart softened when he saw Molly being sensible. “You’re already a mother, Molly.”
Ben placed her breakfast on the coffee table before her and consoled his mom like an adult, Eat up, mommy. You’re a patient now, so you should listen to us.”
It was like Molly was a 3-year-old.
Molly chuckled and agreed, eating her breakfast immediately,
“You have to get better, mommy.” Claudia placed a cup of water next to her.
Alex came downstairs at the same time as well. The triplets watched as Molly finished her meal, and Alex passed her some medication. “Just eat two of these pills, mommy, and drink more water. You might feel drowsy after eating the medication, so you should go upstairs and take some rest. You’ll feel better when you wake up!” Molly became a patient and immediately understood how her patients felt about her when she nagged at them.
But she still cooperated with the triplets and went to sleep upstairs after taking her medication.
In the afternoon, Sean and Tony stopped by, as usual. But Molly was seldom not in sight.
Sean asked Grandpa Dave, “Where’s Ms. May?”
“You’re here, Uncle Sean! Mommy’s sick! She has a fever, and she’s taking a rest upstairs right now!” Claudia immediately ran out of her room when she heard Sean’s familiar voice.
“Yeah, Molly isn’t feeling very well.” Grandpa Dave nodded.
Ben and Alex came last and greeted Sean, “Hello, Uncle Sean.”
Sean immediately put the pieces together.
Tony said in surprise, “Wow, I didn’t know a doctor could fall sick.”
As Molly was a doctor, he thought she would never get sick as she could easily treat herself whenever she felt ill.
Molly had just left her room and was amused when she heard Tony while she was walking downstairs. ‘A doctor is still human. How will they not get sick?’
Sean saw Molly walking down and said, “I told you. You should’ve taken an umbrella with you.
The triplets realized their mother was awake when they heard their conversation, so they instantly ran to them and asked her questions as they were worried that she was still sick.
