Chapter 652 Overly Diligent
Liora whispered softly, “I’m scared of the old man’s eyes, Mommy…”
Caroline gently patted her back. “Lia, remember, not everyone is perfect. There are many unfortunate
people with disabilities in this world, right?”
Liora leaned on Caroline’s chest and replied, “Yeah. I’m sure they wish they could be just like everyone
else.”
Caroline nodded. “That’s right. So, do you think the old man might feel sad about how you treated him earlier? We should always try to understand how others feel, my dear, and put ourselves in their shoes,
right?”
Liora looked down, feeling regretful. I was wrong. Mommy. I promise not to do it again.”
Caroline smiled warmly. “I know you’re a kind girl, Lia.”
The next day, Caroline was abruptly awakened by her ringing phone as she slept with Liora. She grabbed
the phone and answered it groggily.
“Carol!” Paige shouted loudly.
Caroline was startled. “Paige, your volume is way too loud!”
Annoyed, Paige said, “Do you know what time it is? Are you still coming on the trip?”
Caroline sat up and rubbed her eyes. “What time is it?”
“It’s already 10:00a.m.!”
Caroline checked her phone and apologized, “I’m sorry, Paige. I overslept because I got home late last
night.”
Paige sighed. “Are you packed?”
Caroline removed her blanket and hurriedly replied, “I’m packing right now. I should be almost done by the time you get here.”
“I’m already downstairs! Reuben is waiting in the big MPV. Come down with the kids quickly,” Paige urged.
Caroline roused Liora, who was still sound asleep after the call. She then got both of them washed up and started packing their clothes.

She went to wake Tyler and Axel, only to find them engrossed in their laptops. When they quickly shut their laptops.
Caroline leaned against the door and asked, “Don’t you think both of you are working too hard?”
Tyler jumped off his chair. “You’ve got it wrong, Mommy. We were actually developing software.”
Caroline raised an eyebrow. “What kind of software?”
Axel chimed in. “It’s gaming software.”
Tyler thought, ‘Axel, you could be a little less honest!”
Tyler nervously clutched Caroline’s top, wanting to explain himself.
Caroline bent down and pinched his cheek. I’m not upset. Just don’t spend too long on the laptop, or it’ll affect your eyesight.”
Tyler rubbed his cheek. “I understand, Mommy. Are you going out?”
Caroline explained, “I’m here to pack for you. We’re going on a trip. Axel, are your medicines downstairs?”
Axel nodded. “I can pack them myself.” Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
Caroline was hesitant. “I’m not entirely confident in you doing it on your own. Go downstairs and have
something to eat. Take your sister with you.”
The two kids nodded and took Liora downstairs for breakfast.
By the time Caroline finished packing and joined them downstairs, they had already finished eating.
Paige and Alex were watching the children play with their toys.

Alex exclaimed, “Paige, not carrying triplets in there?”
Paige retorted, “Would you like to try carrying triplets to full term? You have no idea how tired Caroline
was when she was pregnant with them.”
Alex chuckled. “I’d do it for you if I could, but I don’t have that capability.”
Paige rolled her eyes. “Then please stop with the sarcastic remarks.”
She noticed Caroline descending the stairs and said, “Carol, is Kenny not joining us?”
