The Imposter Bride (Natalia and Magnus)

Chapter 215

Chapter 215

After listening to Alice's accusations, Natalia was unfazed. "Your home? Ha, do you think I care to be

here? I only came to because of Cal, and I promise you that even if you begged, I wouldn't step foot in

this place again."

"What nonsense!" Fire filled Alice's eyes. "You and your mother are both shameless, aren't you? All for

a piece of my family's wealth and status. Do you think you're worthy of Cal without the McKinney

name? I tell you, as long as I'm around, you won't get a penny!"

"Are you done?" Natalia turned to leave. "I have no interest in arguing with a dimwit, lest my own IQ be

insulted. I wouldn't want to tarnish your noble title, goodbye. Hopefully, I’ll never see you again!"

"Don't you dare leave!" Alice leaped in front of Natalia, blocking her path, "Explain yourself today, when

are you leaving Cal?" NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

Natalia couldn't be bothered to entertain her. "Get out of my way!"

Alice, however, didn't back down. She pinched herself hard, bringing tears to her eyes and making her

voice whiny as she called out, "Dad! Come save me, Natalia is going to kill me!"

Natalia was caught off guard by Alice's audacious lie. But since Alice was so insistent on playing the

victim, she decided to give her exactly what she wanted.

Without a moment's hesitation, she slapped Alice across the face.

Her resentment towards this family, stemming from her mother's departure, was far from over. It was

just Alice's bad luck to be in the line of fire. She was more than happy to be the one to give her what

she deserved.

Her slap was swift and accurate and left Alice's cheek red and swollen. "This is what you asked for. I

wouldn't want to disappoint your claims of being bullied!" Natalia gripped her tingling hand and looked

at Alice coldly.

"Ahhh!" Alice screamed, lunging at Natalia, and grabbed her throat, pushing her towards the staircase.

Natalia was forced to retreat, but Alice was crazed and pushed Natalia towards the staircase.

"Go to hell, you little tramp!" Alice’s face was twisted in malice, and she shoved Natalia down the stairs.

Caught off guard by Alice's strength, Natalia reached out instinctively for something to grab onto. But

there was nothing. As her slender body started rolling down the stairs, she closed her eyes.

But instead of the expected pain, she landed in a warm embrace. Opening her eyes, she saw Callum's

eyes filled with panic.

"Buttercup!" Callum called out. "Are you okay?"

Natalia, more startled than hurt, shook her head. "I'm fine, thank you, Callum."

With the utmost care, Callum picked Natalia up and placed her on the couch. His demeanor was gentle

as ever. Like he was handling a fragile treasure, Callum’s affection was palpable.

Rowell and the Countess were dumbstruck! They looked towards Alice at the top of the staircase, and

their faces were twisted in anger. Before they could say a word, they heard Callum's angry roar.

"Alice!" Callum's cold eyes were filled with rage. "What did you do?!" He marched up the stairs, and to

everyone's shock, grabbed Alice by the throat.

"Cal..." Alice was so scared she could barely breathe, but the next moment, she was lifted off her feet

and tossed down the stairs.

"Ah!" Alice tumbled down the stairs, rolling to a stop at Rowell's feet.

Blood trickled down the corner of her mouth, and her face was ashen. "Daddy... save me! My leg..."

Then she passed out.

Rowell immediately scooped up Alice, calling out in distress, "Alice... bodyguards!"

Two bodyguards immediately entered from the front door.

"Take her to the hospital immediately!"

"Yes, sir!"

After Alice was taken away, Callum descended the stairs, picked up Natalia, and left without sparing

Rowell a glance.

Rowell was furious and kicked a priceless vase nearby, shattering it.

"Natalia is nothing but trouble. She’s causing chaos before she even arrives home!"

"She's nothing but a lowlife! You can't let her come back!" The Countess chimed in, and immediately

left with the bodyguards to the hospital.

Callum carried Natalia back to his mansion.

Natalia's mood was at an all-time low as she stared at the impending storm outside the window.

"Callum, what if I’m not part of the McKinney family? Does that make me unworthy of being engaged to

you? I really despise that family."

She stood on the balcony, watching the darkening sky.

Callum walked over and gently took her hand. "Buttercup, regardless of who your father is or what

family you come from, you're my fiancée. If you don't like the McKinneys, we won't go back."

Natalia nodded. "Can we delay our engagement? Give me some time."

As she looked at Callum's handsome face, the memory of Magnus' bloody injury resurfaced. Her brows

furrowed in worry.

"Alright, I promise. We can delay it. Natalia, after all these years, can you truly not forget Magnus? He's

the one who's hurt you the most! And yet you're still thinking about him?" Callum's voice was tinged

with hurt.

The sky rumbled ominously, and rain started pouring down, hitting the glass windows. It was really

raining. Natalia closed her eyes and shook her head. "Callum, I can't forget him, but I don't want him to

be hurt either. He once saved my life."

In the most dangerous of times, he had shielded her from all harm. Back then, she had seen him as her

hero. But in the end, he was the one who had hurt her the most.

Callum gently embraced her from behind. "Alright, Natalia, I'll listen to you. Whenever you're ready,

we'll proceed. I've waited all these years, so what's a few more days?" He affectionately ran his fingers

through her hair, knowing that until she resolved her past, their marriage wouldn't bring happiness.

With a heavy heart, he turned to leave, leaving Natalia alone with her thoughts.

After her shower, Natalia lay in bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. The sound of the heavy rain outside

accompanied the stillness of another rainy night.

The rain had pounded down relentlessly all night, and by morning, Natalia was up early, having barely

slept at all. The mansion, her new home, looked as though it had been cleansed by the night's tempest.

Her husband-to-be, Callum, had already left for the office early to attend to business matters. He had

instructed the bodyguards to keep a close watch on the mansion, barring anyone from approaching it.

Feeling a bit stir-crazy, Natalia decided to venture outside into the mansion's garden for a breath of

fresh air. To her surprise, she spotted Paul stepping out of a car. With an impassive expression, he

started walking towards her.

One of the bodyguards immediately stepped in to block him, but Natalia waved them off. "It's okay, he's

a friend."

As the bodyguards dispersed, a visibly upset Paul approached Natalia. "Ma’am…"
