Chapter 2921
" This is between Leon and the Western Boss. The Morrisons have nothing to do with it. We should stay out of it. I think that we can let the Fermers go as a favor to the Western Boss. If Leon is defeated by the Western Boss, we can protect ourselves," Jayden added, feeling smug about how smart he was.
"Nonsense! The Morrisons were always at odds with the Fermers. Now that Mister Wolf defeated the Apostles and the Fermers, he has helped weaken the Fermers for us! We can't let them go behind his back. Besides, even if we let these people go, the Western Boss won't give up on taking the Morrisons down." Caleb scoffed.
Though he also doubted Leon hcoulddefeat the Western Boss and the Southern Boss, the two of them would not be able to harm him as well.
In the end, Leon would likely be injured and forced to return to the western region.
If the Morrisons let the Apostles and the Fermers go behind Leon's back, they would not be able to explain themselves to Leon.
On top of that, they would be planting a potential threat on their paths.
Once the Western Boss and the Southern Boss returned, they would regroup with the Apostles and the Fermers, creating an even bigger threat to the Morrisons.
Caleb was not about to do such a foolish thing.
"But," Jayden refused to give up and tried to argue.
Before he could finish, Caleb interrupted him. "That's enough. I know what I'm doing. Don't think that you can fool me. You are just targeting Mister Wolf repeatedly because you had a few conflicts withUpstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
him! Mister Wolf has
been quite forgiving, so consider that your luck. I hope this is the last time. If you try to undermine Mister Wolf again, I won't show you any mercy and punish you accordingly," Caleb reprimanded.
In the past, Caleb and the elders valued Jayden. Despite Jayden's constant effort to undermine Leon, he never caused any actual damage and Caleb turned a blind eye to it.
However, upon witnessing Leon's strength, he dared not to let Jayden do as he pleased, otherwise, Jayden may just enrage Leon and sow discord between the Morrisons and Leon someday.
This would hardly benefit the Morrisons.
Hence, he decided to restrict Jayden's behavior to avoid any loss to the Morrisons due to Jayden's stupidity.
"I got it. I'll be careful from now on," Jayden said.
Though he still disliked Leon, Leon's strength shook him.
He slowly gave up on the idea of being Leon's enemy and dared not to cross Leon or he may get killed.
Jayden was no fool.
Still, Leon would have to survive the Western Boss and the Southern Boss, and Jayden did not think he had what it took.
