Chapter 368
Chapter 368
Adrian turned to look at the girl, who was surprisingly pretty. This was the girl that Emerson and Ronan
had bumped into on the street a few days ago, the one Emerson thought resembled Cordelia.
Adrian, however, didn't see any resemblance between the girl and Cordelia. He had grown up with
Cordelia despite their animosity, so he knew her all too well. Hence, he didn't have the same feelings
as Emerson. He simply thought the girl was innocent-looking and quite attractive. He felt like showing
off a bit in front of her.
"You don't believe me?" Adrian asked, strutting like a peacock.
"I really don't."
"Well, now you've riled me up. I'll take you to Ronan's one of these days and show you. I can't believe
he's been deceiving me, his own in-law," Adrian declared.
"You're not serious, are you? You better not be lying!" Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"I'm not. What's your Messenger ID? Tell me. I'll add you and take you to his place this coming
Saturday," Adrian said, thumping his chest.
"Alright." The girl took out her phone and told Adrian her Messenger number.
Adrian thought to himself, “This girl is naïve and easy to trick. I got her Messenger ID just like that.”
"What's your name, girl?" Adrian asked.
"Tabitha."
"Tabitha?" Adrian was not very cultured and couldn't help but laugh upon hearing her name.
Tabitha felt offended by Adrian's laughter, but she needed to use him, so she bit her tongue.
"Oh, I don’t know how to spell it. Why don't you show me?" Adrian teased Tabitha.
Tabitha took Adrian’s phone and changed her contact name.
"See you this Saturday, no excuses," Adrian said.
"Sure."
The following Saturday, at ten in the morning, Adrian picked up Tabitha from her dormitory at the
private hospital where she worked. They headed to Ronan's house.
To assert his status in front of Tabitha, Adrian purposely announced himself as "Ronan's in-law" over
the intercom.
The servant informed Ronan, who was in the living room, of their arrival. Ronan wasn't surprised. He
had expected Adrian to cause a scene since he wasn't invited to Callum’s celebration. If not today, he'd
cause a ruckus another day.
"Let him in," Ronan instructed.
Upon hearing Ronan's in-law, Olen, who was also in the living room, became distressed. "Shelley's...
Shelley's..." He mumbled, seemingly having a seizure.
Ronan looked on, disgusted. "Take him to the bedroom," Ronan ordered.
Without a word, Amanda helped Olen to the bedroom.
Adrian and a woman walked into Ronan's house. Ronan eyed the woman. He recognized her.
"Where's the kid?" Adrian demanded as soon as he entered. "I'm the kid's uncle, you know that, right
Ronan? You didn't invite me to the christenting. What are you up to, Ronan?"
"With a lady present, don't disgrace yourself, Adrian," Ronan retorted.
"Where's my sister? She bore you a child, where is she?" Adrian continued.
"Don't be like this!" Tabitha timely tugged at Adrian's arm.
Ronan asked, "Haven't seen you in a few days, and you've got a new girl?"
Adrian timely grabbed Tabitha's hand and gently patted it. "She's just my girlfriend who didn't believe
me when I told her I'm your kid's uncle. I brought her here to prove it. Do you believe me now?"
Adrian turned to Tabitha.
"What are you saying!" Tabitha stamped her foot. Her petulant stomp, however, did resemble Cordelia
somewhat.
