The CEO's Return (Tracy and Alex)

Chapter Sixteen

Chapter Sixteen

Tracy

Everything has been fine, not normal but fine, Michael and Michelle resumed school, Sam kept coming

by to the company to join me for lunch, sometimes he take me for lunch somewhere else, I declined

every other offer to meet with him somewhere besides the company.

The relationship between myself and Alex hasn't gotten any better, neither has it gotten any worst, it is

just awkward.

When the manager sent me a message telling me to meet Alex at a location, I thought it was business

until I got there and I realized I am meeting him in a house, the security guards told me to go through

the main door, which was not locked.

I entered and I could see Alex laying on the Sofa, I panicked and rushed to his side immediately.

"Alex!" I called but he didn't move Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

"Alex!" I called again shaking him lightly this time around, he stirred but he didn't wake up.

"Alex!" I called a little bit louder this time

"Tracy? Tracy don't leave me." He said holding my hand

"I'm not leaving, tell me what is wrong, you look flushed."

"Nothing Tracy, I just have a terrible headache."

"Alex, you are burning up, what happened?" I asked worried

"Alex!" I called again hoping he'd answer but he didn't answer

"Alex!, Listen to me, I think you have a fever and I need you to tell me where the medicine kit is."

He opened his eyes slightly then pointed towards a shelf, the first aid box was on it.

I grabbed it and I opened it, I was thankful that it was well equipped, I took the thermometer and I

checked Alex's temperature, it was 100.2F.

"Alex, where is your bedroom? I need to take you upstairs." I said shaking him lightly.

"Tracy I'm very tired." He replied in a very low voice making me pity him more than I already did.

I located the bathroom, thankfully it was not hard to find, I filled a basin with water and I grabbed one of

the white towels in the bathroom.

I went back to the sitting room, dipped the towel the water, squeezed the water out then I used the

towel to mop his face, I continued like that until he stopped sweating and his face looked less pale.

I knew he didn't eat anything other than the breakfast I gave him in the morning, so I went to his kitchen

to make him something, I was alarmed to find absolutely nothing worth cooking in the fridge and

cupboard the only thing eatable in the fridge is the apple, ice cream and orange inside.

I had to make do with that, I washed them then I sliced the apple, I peeled the orange too, and I took it

to the sitting room and placed it on the stool.

"Alex, please try to sit up," I said tapping him lightly, he opened his eyes but didn't make any move to

sit up, I gave him a hand and he sat up.

I fed him the apple and orange, he didn't eat a lot but he was able to get some down, I gave him drugs

and he used them.

I managed to get him upstairs to his room, I tucked him in and he fell right asleep.

I went back downstairs and cleared everything, I returned everything where I found them.

I went back upstairs and I placed a chair beside Alex's bed, I checked the time it was few minutes past

four so I called my mum, praying she doesn't ask too many questions.

"Hello, mum."

"Tracy?"

"Mum, The twins would be sleeping over at your place because I'm not coming home tonight."

"Why?"

"Nothing, we have to work overtime today and I don't want to venture home late at night.

"Oh, okay, I'd go to your house and grab what they would be needing for school tomorrow then."

"Okay, the key is under the mat," I said but I'm not sure she heard because she hung up, something is

telling me she didn't buy my story.

I looked at Alex who was sleeping like a baby, the urge to run my hands through his black hair was very

strong, I wanted to lie beside him and stroke his hair, but then I don't want him waking up to see me

doing that, I would look like a pushover.

Alex slept into the night, he woke few times murmuring about some ice cream and telling me not to

leave him, thankfully when I checked his temperature later it was normal.

I look one of the sweatshirts and I changed into it, hoping he won't mind because the cloth I was

wearing was tight and thin, the temperature was dropping so I had to.

I tried to stay awake but I couldn't, I slept off and what woke me was Alex's hand in mine, I stood up so

fast that the chair I was sitting on almost fell.

"Good morning" Alex greeted staring at me, I realized he was staring at the sweatshirt.

"Sorry I borrowed this."

"It suits you just fine." He said still staring at me

"How are you feeling?"

"I feel better thank you."

"Okay then, I'd just change and get going then," I said turning to leave but he pulled me back, he stood

up and I looked up to look into his eyes.

"Stay." He said holding my waist.

"Wh...what are you doing?" I asked looking away.

" I love you, Tracy, a million times more than I loved you, so stay."

It was like he took my ability to speak because I couldn't, he lifted me gently and he placed me on the

bed, he spread my legs slightly and knelt in between.

"Stop we can't do this," I said trying to push him off so I can't get up, but he grabbed both of my hands

and trapped them above my head, his eyes held mine captive because I couldn't look away, it was the

closest to intimacy that I ever had since he left six years ago.

"Alex, this is not business at all, let go of me!" I said trying to be stern but my voice coming out lower

than I wanted it too

"I never said it was business." He said right before his lips came down on mine, it was a slight brush at

first, but it became hot and demanding, I removed my hand from the bondage he put them, running

them through his hair, his own hands went under the sweatshirt I was wearing.

We both gave and received, it was not what I intended on doing but then I couldn't stop him neither

could I stop myself.
