Chapter 198
Stepping off the yacht, Jason reached over to grab her suitcase “You didn’t bring much with you, did you?”
“Nah, just the essentials.”
“If you need anything, just holler at the staff. Everything you could possibly need is right here” With that, Jason led the way towards the hotel.
The lobby was lavish, the epitome of luxury As far as the eye could see, a massive, famous painting hung at the entrance, dominating the view. The chandeliers were all made of glass, a clear sign of opulence
The hotel butler approached respectfully and said, “Mr. Brummett, Ms. Zimmer, please follow me. Your room is on the 6th floor.”
Suddenly, they heard footsteps behind them.
“Mr. Lindbergh, Ms. Lindbergh, Mr. Crane, Ms. Flanagan, welcome, a voice from the staff echoed through the lobby.
Jason turned around and gave a friendly shout, “Hey bro!*
Allison clenched her fingers. She knew Lucian and the others would be here. After all, this was a project invested in by Lindbergh Corporation. But bumping into them like this made her a bit uncomfortable, especially after their argument last night.
Lucian’s gaze fell on Allisons slender figure. He gave her a casual glance before turning to Jason and saying, “Hmm, you guys are early.”
“We just got here, Jason replied.
Penelope froze, surprised to see Allison. But with so many people around, she couldn’t confront her. She noticed the light pink suitcase in Jason’s hand, obviously Allison’s With Jason protecting her, Penelope didn’t dare make a scene, but she was grinding her teeth in anger. Back in her room, Penelope’s friends gathered around. They were only able to vacation here thanks to Penelope. With limited spots available, they were thrilled to be here and kept flattering Penelope.
“Why is your maid here, Penelope?”
“Ugh, so annoying. I can’t believe we have to see such a lowly person in a high–end place like this. What a buzzkill!”
“She seems to be with Jason. That maid doesn’t seem like much, but she’s got game to catch Jason’s eye.”
They all envied Allison for being able to hang out with Jason. He was well–known for his good looks and wealth in Northfield.
“That shameless hussy. She must have tricked Jason!“, Penelope huffed.
“Allison, this is your room. You can rest here. My room is just two doors down”
After Jason left, Allison went to the window. From here, she could see the beautiful seascape. She unpacked and tidied up her room.
Around 7 pm, there was a knock at the door.
“Ms. Zimmer,” the attendant called from the other side of the door, “Mr. Brummett wanted me to let you know that there’s a cocktail party on the beach. He suggested you get changed and come over.”
“Got it.”
