The Billionaire’s Maid Bride (Flanagan and Allison)

Chapter 419

Chapter 419

Lucian arrived at the set.

Everyone was chilling out as the shooting hadn’t begun. The two camera guys were having a chat,

while Mr. Sears kept glancing nervously at Lucian.

Lucian looked around and asked, “Why isn’t the shooting over?”

“Well, one of the actresses hasn’t arrived yet. She’s stuck in traffic.”

Lucian raised an eyebrow, “So everyone on the crew is waiting for her?”

“Uh…yes.”

Lucian let out a cold chuckle, “Humph.”

Mr. Sears was a bit shaken. He had no idea what had ticked Lucian off, and he surely couldn’t read

Lucian’s mind.

Inside the trailer, Mia was grumbling, “What’s taking Sadie so long? She’s such a time waster. We’ve

been waiting for almost two hours and it’s already dark. Can she at least give us a clear answer? We’re

all waiting for her.”

Allison was taking a break in Mia’s trailer since she didn’t have her own. Initially, Patty had arranged

one for her but she turned it down. After all, she was just playing a small role and didn’t want to draw

unnecessary attention.

Allison was gently touching her neck.

“We can’t wait forever, right? What’s up with this? Call my agent and ask her to check with the crew. I

don’t have all day. I have a magazine shoot after work and it’s already delayed. I’m not up for shooting

all night.”

Her assistant immediately contacted the agent and the crew. But they didn’t get any response.

Elsewhere, Director Simonds had taken a short nap. When he woke up and learnt that Sadie hadn’t

arrived yet, he burst into laughter out of frustration. “I’ve been in the film industry for so many years and

this is the first time I’ve encountered an actor who’s two hours late. From now on, don’t ever get me to

work with Sadie again.”

His assistant quickly said, “Mr. Simonds, don’t get mad.”

“Two hours! Even if she was on the highway, she could have flown back by now. Her excuse about

being stuck in traffic is a total lie.” He waved his hand, “I’m done, let’s wrap up.”

Having dozens of crew members wait around wasn’t going to earn Sadie any brownie points with Mr.

Simonds tonight. A newbie with no respect for work, she had crossed his line.

“Mr. Simonds, this bookstore is going to be closed next week for the shooting of another drama. And it

will be closed for two weeks. Let’s wait a little longer, I’ll go call them right now…” Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

The assistant made a call, “Hey, where are you guys? Still stuck in traffic? I can send someone to pick

you up.”

On the other end was Sadie’s executive agent, “Oh gosh, we’re almost there. What’s the rush? We

can’t sprout wings and fly over there…”

“How can we not be in a hurry? You know how Mr. Simonds is. We’ve been waiting for two hours. Time

waits for no one.”

“Alright, alright, we’re almost there.”

After hanging up the phone, Sadie’s executive agent, Emma, glanced at Sadie who was shopping in a

luxury store. They still hadn’t hit the road, and Sadie had been shopping for two hours. Even though

Mr. Simonds kept rushing them, she had no other option but to claim they were stuck in traffic.

Sadie had a fiery temper, and Emma was just an agent. To put it simply, her position was only slightly

above an assistant’s, but she was still an employee.

Holding her phone, Emma walked over and said, “Sadie…”

Sadie ignored her and pointed at a row of clothes, “These, find my size and send them to the fitting

room.”

The salesperson immediately nodded and said, “Okay ma’am, please wait a moment.”

Sadie went to the fitting room and started trying on clothes one by one. Emma looked anxious.

Gathering her courage, she said, “Sadie.” Sadie tried on a pink lace dress, the latest style of the year.

But she found the waist a bit tight when she zipped it up. She frowned

slightly, had she gained weight? She had even lost several kilograms for this show.

Sadie said unhappily, “Emma.”

Emma was taken aback.

Sadie said, “What are you still standing there for? Come and help me zip up the dress.” She was

determined to wear this dress today.

Emma went over and helped. The size was correct but the style was a bit small, so Emma had to put in

some effort to zip it up.

Sadie took a deep breath. Finally, the dress was on. She looked at her slim waist in the mirror and was

somewhat pleased, ‘Do you think Mr. Lindberg will come to the company’s banquet next week?”

Emma asked, “Mr. Lindberg…you mean Lucian?”

Sadie rolled her eyes and said, “Do you know any other Mr. Lindberg?”

All Emma could say was, “Sadie, Mr. Simonds is rushing you…”
