Star’s POV

The atmosphere at breakfast this morning was full of hope. We have returned our fallen to their homes and will hold their funerals in a few days when we return. Andrew, Ace, Blair and Suzie have returned with them, so they can speak to the families.

They will all return later this morning, before we head to my mother’s Pack.

I looked around and smiled as my eyes locked with Jess’s. The meeting we had last night, though sad, leaves me with a feeling of joy, I fully understand how Jess feels, and although I will miss the three of them, we have made a pact to visit at least once a year each, and they have promised to wait until after Max’s birthday on the 12th.

Jess has asked us to be Starlights godparents, making our bond even stronger.

They were not the only meeting we had last night. Hayley will be staying here with Leander, they will be returning with us for a few days, to pack and collect Lily.

And Stella will be heading to Rising Moon in Scotland, to be with Callum. All three of my gorgeous girls have completed their mating with their wonderful men. I guess their time with Barton yesterday has allowed them to move on and grab happiness.

Lex and Ash join our hug, all of us giving strength to the eldest Alpha. Andrew calls for everyone to move out and Ace puts me down and grips my hand.

Hellios and Dad took the lead, as we walked the four miles to Spirit Moon. All of my girls walked with us, excited to see the home of the elementals.

Max and Suzie caught up to me, “how are you feeling honey, it feels like we have been waiting forever to get here?” I linked my arms with my two best friends.

“I don’t know. Excited, nervous, sick, giddy. You name it and I am feeling it.”

When we are about half way there, I started to feel like my skin was buzzing. It seemed to get stronger with every step I took, I was so lost in the feeling, that Max shook me to snap me out of it.

I looked around and saw that everyone had stopped about a hundred yards behind me. Anne-Marie walked towards me, “You feel it too? it’s like I am being called forward.”

I nod, “my skin is buzzing, like there is electricity surrounding me. I think it’s the pack.”

She smiles, “I feel the call of a sister witch, it feels like there is someone still alive in there, so I thought it wouldn’t hurt if we cast a translation spell on everyone. Thalia did not know any English at the beginning.”

It’s a good idea, “sounds good, let’s do it.”

The coven spreads out around us, chanting as they walk around the group. I feel a tingling in my ears. When they stopped, I looked at Leander.

He smiles and starts to talk, “Boreíte na me katalávete? (can you understand me)” I giggle, “Yes Leander, I can understand you.”

With that sorted, we returned to our journey. The buzzing returns, building in intensity. A voice called out to me, “You are here at last. Come to us, my child. We mean you no harm.”

I continued forward, Saffy stood up in my head, “We are here, Star. Tell everyone to stay back. We must do this alone.” I hold up my hands to stop everyone, “I need to continue alone for now, wait here.”

My mates shook their heads, Lex stepped towards me, “are you sure baby, this place feels wrong.” I smiled, “its okay love, that feeling is to stop people getting too close, I don’t feel like that, I am supposed to be here.”

They sighed in resignation, and stepped away from me. I walked towards the pack, until I felt the barrier in front of me. I placed my hands out in front of me and felt the invisible wall.

“Just let your power out, the barrier will recognize you, only you have the power to set us free.”

Great no pressure then, Closing my eyes, I push all my powers out at once, The barrier absorbs it all, and a rainbow of colors explodes outwards from my hands, I feel the barrier fall.

I felt a presence in front of me and a woman of Mamo’s age walked towards me. Her face is lit with a beaming smile. “Hello my grand daughter, it is so good to finally meet you. I am Thalia’s stepmother, Naomi.”

I hear a gasp from behind me, Anne-Marie has her head bowed in respect, “Blessed be, mother Naomi.” Naomi bows back to her.

My mates came to stand beside me. Naomi looked them over, then met my eyes, “Three? Well, arn’t you a lucky girl?” I smirked. she motioned for us to follow her, “Come, everyone is excited about meeting you all, we have not seen any new faces in over 18 years, so excuse their stares.”

She leads us through the trees, and then the pack comes into view. I can’t stop the gasp of wonder escaping my lips. I had been expecting ruins and bodies, but the pack was beautiful white-walled villas on either side of us, and a beautiful courtyard ahead.

But the most astounding thing is the people. They are everywhere. They are watching us with smiles on their faces, bowing as we pass.

I hear Hellios call out, “Dimitris? Is that you? my old friend.” he ran to a man to our left, and they embraced, both crying openly. Naomi laughs joyfully.

Pups ran around me, a cute little girl, about 4 years old, with masses of blond curls, held her arms up to me. I can’t resit picking her up. She whispers in my ear, “are you really Thalia’s daughter? Have you come to set us free?”

Pressing a k**s to her soft cheek, I whisper back, “yes my angel, I am.”
