Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 387

Chapter 387

If Chad was unscathed, and Finley’s activities were confined, it’d be his loss in this round severe.

Tom promised Finley that he would secretly visit Chad in the hospital. He glanced at Holly,

remembering that the child she was carrying was Finley’s. Although a baby girl was not as favored as a

boy, she was still a bloodline from the boss. He had to restrain his temper.

After escorting her back to the car, he re-entered the hospital.

Molly calculated the time and figured that Mia should be done with her medical check-up. So, she

headed downstairs to find her. To her surprise, she couldn’t locate her after a thorough search. A phone

call revealed that everyone had left.

Molly protested, “Aren’t you one of my family member anymore? You didn’t even inform me before

leaving.”

Mia retorted, “It’s because we’re family that we didn’t tell you when we left.”

Molly added, “I upset my dad today, but I haven’t even had a chance to talk to him.”

Mia suggested, “If you want to talk, wait until Chad is discharged. You can stay at home for a few days.

Your dad misses you.”

In the backseat, Hansen, who was eating a donut, wondered, “Are you talking about me?”

Molly agreed, “That’s my plan. My grandparents are here. The house is lively and not lonely. When

Chad is discharged, I will go home and spend some time with my dad.”

She exited the elevator, having just ended her call with Mia. However, she hadn’t walked far when she

saw someone peering into Chad’s room.

Molly quickened her pace and asked, “Who are you looking for?”

Tom, surprised by the sudden appearance of the girl, retracted his gaze. He didn’t expect to bump into

Molly!

“I am looking for someone. Is the patient in the room named Smith?” Tom asked.

The patient in the room was not Chad, who had just left, so he was unsure of his condition. Seeing

Molly, he lied that he was looking for someone surnamed Smith.

Unexpectedly, Molly did not follow conventional norms. While most people would deny, Molly was

unique. “Yes, the patient here is surnamed Smith. So, who are you, and what business do you have

with my brother?”

Molly, now 21 years old, was completely different from the 5-year-old girl in a princess dress from

sixteen years ago. Back then, she had been protected so well by her family. When he took her to the

beach, she looked at him with fear and trepidation. Now, she dared to look him in the eye, showing no

fear, even with a defiant attitude.

Tom lied, “I’m looking for a woman, not a man.”

Molly’s suspicion heightened at his blatant lie. She hadn’t forgotten that her brother’s car accident was

no accident. She quickly grabbed Tom’s wrist. “I purposely misinformed you just now. The patient in the

room is not my brother, but my sister. Since you know my sister, why don’t you wait inside?”

Tom wanted to shake off Molly’s hand but failed. She was holding on too tightly, seemingly afraid that

he would escape.

Tom had just had a heated argument with Holly and now was dealing with the brazen Molly. He was

looking at the person he had tried to kill but failed. And there was Chad, whom he had also tried to kill

but failed.

His fist unconsciously clenched.

Molly could clearly feel his fist tightening. She looked down at his hand, and her eyes widened. What

was that on his hand...

“Molly?”

Chad appeared from behind her. Molly turned to look at him, and Tom quickly withdrew his hand and

left.

Molly turned back around and chased after Tom, blocking his way. Chad, puzzled, also followed

quickly.

Tom squinted. “Miss, I just got the wrong person. Do you have to block my way?”

Molly noticed the leaf tattoo on his arm and felt a missing memory in her mind. The fragments flashing

in her mind did seem to include a leaf tattoo.

Chad joined her. “What’s wrong?”

Tom looked straight at Chad. Indeed, he had only sustained minor injuries!

The Byrne family was his nemesis. Molly was supposed to die but was saved by the Byrne family.

Chad had a car accident, but he survived due to his good luck.

“Chad, he was sneaking a peek into your room.” Molly pointed at Tom, accusing him to Chad.

Chad also blocked Tom’s way. His gaze carried the pressure of a law enforcement officer. “Who are

you?”

Tom remained calm. “It seems you are the patient in that room. I was looking for a female friend with

the surname Smith. But your sister misled me and wasted my time.”

Molly retorted, “Is the big nurse’s station just for show? Normal people would first ask the nurse when

looking for someone, unlike you, sneaking around and peeking into my brother’s room.”

Tom couldn’t continue the conversation with Molly. He didn’t expect Molly to be so persistent. He said,

“Miss, if you want to report me for looking into the room, are you gonna call the police?”

Molly took out her phone. “Let’s do it.” Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

At this moment, Chad stopped his sister. “Sorry, she’s just a kid. There’s no need to call the police.”

After saying that, he gently tugged Molly’s hand.

Chad knew that he had no evidence. If this man was indeed checking each room, calling the police

would just be a waste of their time.

Chad memorized Tom’s eyes and took Molly back to the room.

Once back, Molly locked the door and said angrily, “He definitely lied to you. What surname Smith, and

a woman? I don’t think any of it is true.”

After a while, she suddenly asked, “Chad, where did you go just now?”

“To get some water.” He opened the thermos, and poured a cup of water for Molly to drink.

“You should wait for me to get the water instead of running around. Your neck is injured and you can’t

move freely. What if you fall?” Molly took Chad’s cup.

“Did Mia leave?” Chad asked.

Molly got Chad’s medicine from the side. It was noon and time for him to take his medication. “Yes,

they went home.”

Molly handed the medicine to Chad, “Take your medicine.”

Once things had settled down, Molly found her mind wandering. She felt like she had seen the tattoo

on the man’s arm before. She had a familiar feeling to it, but it was like a fragment of a memory she

just couldn’t quite grasp. The leaf-shaped symbol looked so familiar to her.

Molly sat on Chad’s hospital bed. Before she knew it, she had lain down on it. Her eyes were closed,

but her mind was still trying to piece together the fragments. Then she had fallen asleep.

When Coleen and her husband came to bring lunch for their children, they found their son, the patient,

sitting on the couch listening to the news, and Molly, who was supposed to be taking care of him, was

sound asleep on his bed.
