Chapter 65
Happy reading…
Hera blinked her eyes a few times. Trying to get used to the light that he thought was very bright broke through her eyes.
“Hera, are you awake?” asked someone beside Hera. The woman’s vision was still blurry so she couldn’t clearly see who it was.
“Haidar?” Hera whispered as her eyes began to focus.
“Yes, Hera. It’s me,” said Haidar holding Hera’s hand gently.
Hera immediately woke up remembering the last incident before she passed out. Gathering all her consciousness quickly.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
“Juan … where is Juan? I have to meet Juan,” said Hera with a panicked face.
Without saying anything, Haidar helped Hera to meet Juan.
How shocked the woman was when she saw her little son lying unconscious in the ICU. Hera’s body felt boneless, causing her to fall to the ground with tears streaming down her cheeks.
“Ju—Juan … my son,” Hera whispered. Haidar, who was beside the woman, couldn’t hold back tears not only because of Juan’s poor condition but also because he saw Hera so devastated.
In the end, Hera burst into tears there. With all his might Haidar calmed the woman. Take her in his arms.
Hera really hoped that what she saw was just a dream but the more she brushed it off the stronger the reality hit her. With the remaining strength, Hera got up and walked over to Juan’s bed.
Again her heart was hit with pain seeing the pale face of the child. Her son’s smile was no longer so charming to greet her. Hera reached for Juan’s tiny hand. Hold it gently.
“Juan … this is Mom, honey,” whispered little Hera. “Juan must be healthy, Mom don’t like seeing Juan like this… hiks… please Juan… forgive Mom… hiks… hiks,” Hera sobbed, kissing Juan’s hand several times. She really felt very guilty. Seems like Jayden’s nickname for bad mother was true. Hera was incompetent to take care of Juan until he lay in the hospital.
Haidar stroked the woman’s arm trying to strengthen it. He, who was a nobody, felt very sad, let alone Hera. The woman’s pain can no longer be expressed in words.
“Juan is a strong child, Hera. I’m sure he will recover,” said Haidar.
Hera turned around, hugging Haidar. Unknowingly the woman spent all her sadness on Haidar. As if that man was the place to be now to complain. Haidar hugged Hera back trying to give the woman a sense of calm.
“I’m sure Juan will be fine,” said Haidar, stroking Hera’s shoulder. The man looked deeply at Juan. His eyes seemed to be able to convey what was in his heart.
‘You should get better, Juan. Please, for your mother . . . and for me too.’

Jayden’s gaze at the two women in front of him seemed to kill them in an instant. Very sharp and piercing.
“Even though you two, how come you guys are so careless about taking care of Juan, huh?” Jayden snapped.
The two women; Ara and Anne couldn’t say anything else. Self-defense? This disaster happened absolutely because of their negligence. So there was no need for a defense, just that they would hear the cursing and anger from Jayden and Hera later.
Jayden snorted again in annoyance. Hearing the narrative of Juan’s former in-laws and caregivers, how Juan’s chronology of food poisoning ended up being treated in intensive care in the ICU made him furious. Ara said that Juan had a high fever and had been vomiting since morning. But they thought Juan was just a common cold. Until the afternoon before the baby’s fever did not go down with a condition that was already weak, then Ara and Anne took him to the hospital. They were also very surprised to hear that Juan had food poisoning, even though they felt they were taking good care of Juan. Even according to Emi’s doctor, if it had been a few minutes late, it might have been a different story.
Which parent’s heart doesn’t hurt to see their child’s condition like that. If only anyone could become the target of Jayden’s anger, he could be sure that the target would be crushed in his hands.
“Stop it, Jayden!”
Jayden turned to find Hera and Haidar who had just come out of the ICU. Actually, it was not only Juan’s situation that made Jayden emotional but also Hera and Haidar’s closeness. They seemed to be getting closer. Like now, where Haidar was embracing Hera’s shoulders tightly until their bodies were perfectly pressed together without any gaps. Is this called jealousy? Damn if so. But why should Jayden be jealous? Hera was just an ex-wife he hated so much.
“Stop it?” Jayden lifted one corner of his lips. Mocking Haidar. “What do you know, huh?” said Jayden, his eyes wide with anger.
“Then you want to keep tempering incoherently like this? You will be dragged out of this hospital, Jayden,” said Haidar.
Jayden wanted to get angry again but what Haidar said was true. Remembering that they had had a fight in the hospital before Jayden’s divorce with Hera.
Okay. This time Jayden will be more patient to be able to monitor Juan’s condition himself. His black irises looked at Hera who was now sitting with a blank expression. Jayden knew that the one who was hurt the most here was Hera.
“You see, Hera. Because of your greed for treasure, my son became a victim!” But for some reason Jayden even said harsh words to Hera.
“Jayden!” Haidar was about to get up but was restrained by Hera. The woman stood up from her seat. With her eyelids full of tears, Hera looked at Jayden sharply.
“You still haven’t changed, Jayden. Always blaming others without looking in the mirror,” Hera said, jaw clenching.
“What?” Of course Jayden didn’t accept Hera saying that. Is it because of him that Juan is in the hospital now?
“I’m his mother. I’m the one who’s been carrying him for nine months. I’m the one who gave birth and took care of him all this time….” Hera stepped closer. “While his father, who claimed to really love him, was playing crazy with other women.” Hera laughed sarcastically. “Then do you deserve to judge me now? I’m looking for money to support him because his father, who claimed to love him very much, never gave any money for his son.”
Jayden lost badly. Hera’s words were like the sharpest blow that hit her chest very hard. Until the man felt excruciating suffocation. What Hera said was true, because since the divorce plan, Jayden had never provided for Juan like a father. Even Jayden hadn’t visited Juan since his last visit.
Hera didn’t want to sue Jayden at all for that responsibility. But because Jayden kept blaming her, Hera’s patience ran out.
No one made a sound for a few seconds. Everyone was so immersed in the tense atmosphere.
“Down with me if I’m wrong!” challenged Hera.
His jaw hardened and his fists grew stronger, showing his whitened finger bones. Jayden had nothing more to say.
“You can’t do it, right?” Hera laughed lightly. While wiping her tears harshly, Hera said, “So stop judging me! Here I am the most hurt seeing my son lying sick,” said Hera feeling her body weak. Haidar swiftly caught Hera’s body, bringing her to sit back down.
They were all just silent watching Jayden’s tall and sturdy body pass from there.
Jayden groaned in frustration as soon as he got into his car. Hera’s words kept repeating in her ears. The man looked straight ahead.
“Do I really have no rights now? Even to my son?”
To be continued….
