Chapter 707 Knowing the Truth
Chapter 707 Knowing the Truth
Someone even told her Archie’s background was even more complicated and powerful.
But she could never feel that in her daily life.
Natalia wasn’t sure whether she was thinking too much about it. She sometimes just felt she couldn’t
understand Archie.
She knew he loved her deeply and would never hurt her. But she just couldn’t fully understand him.
She couldn’t forget that one afternoon, she was sitting in front of the French window of the tea room,
drinking tea and reading. Without her knowing it, Archie stood at the door.
When she finally felt it, she turned around and saw him staring at her.
But his look was very strange. He seemed to look at her, but actually looked through her to a far place
or another person.
Natalia knew she shouldn’t think too much about it. He loved her, and everyone was aware of that.
But she just couldn’t help it. Every time she remembered that moment, she felt his look put great
pressure on her. She was so tired, but couldn’t get rid of it.
She was reluctant to ask him about it, because she lacked a good reason. It was just a look after all.
But she clearly knew he was hiding something from her. This was her sixth sense as a woman, her
instinct.
She couldn’t ask about it, nor carry out an investigation.
As soon as she conducted an investigation, he would know it. Even if she found out any information,
how should she deal with it if it was bad news?
Natalia was merely scared.
She really cherished her hard-won happiness, and she didn’t want her peaceful life to be ruined again.
So she chose to know nothing, as if nothing was wrong.
This time, she finally made up her mind to learn the truth of what happened on the ocean nine years
ago.
She didn’t tell Archie she took part in the auto racing competition because she had worries.
She was worried it might cause a bad result if he knew.
It was just her instinct.
Thinking of that, Natalia remained silent.
Nancy said nothing, and only gave a light sigh.
The car soon arrived at the hotel. They got out of it. Once they were back in the room, Natalia called
Felix.
It was 6 pm, but it should be midnight where Felix was in.
When her call was answered, she heard a weak voice. Felix sounded mad after being interrupted from
his sleep.
“Yeah.”
“I won the championship!”
Natalia didn’t care whether he was asleep or not. He couldn’t care less about her feelings normally, so
it was a great chance to take revenge.
Accompanied by a rustling sound, he seemed to get up.
Afterward, his voice became clearer.
“You got it? Send me the picture of the trophy.”
Natalia was struck dumb for a second, then sneered, “What? You don’t believe me? You think I’m
lying?”
Felix smiled, “Well, you’re my student. If I don’t believe you, I’ll be questioning my own abilities. Alright,
no time to talk. Just send me the picture.”
Natalia compressed her lips. Although she didn’t know why he wanted to see the picture right now, she
did as he told her.
The phone wasn’t hung up. After she sent over the picture, she continued, “See? I did it. It was a little
dramatic, but I won. If you still don’t believe it, I’ll be back in the country tomorrow. You can see it with
your own eyes.”
“No need. This is enough,” said Felix in a low deep voice.
Natalia frowned.
She felt he was getting stranger.
Anyway, she didn’t bother to think much about it. Felix was always a strange man after all.
“Now, tell me what I want to know,” she said coldly.
Felix fell into silence.
“You really want to know?” he asked in a while.
Natalia snorted, “Of course! I’ve worked so hard for it.” Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
Felix laughed a little, “I’m just kindly reminding you. Most of the truths in this world are unpleasant.
Sometimes, it’s better not to know them. You might regret knowing the truth.”
Natalia was surprised.
She didn’t feel good about this, but she still insisted. “Stop wasting my time. Just tell me everything!”
Felix gave a resigned sigh.
“Fine, since you insist. But don’t blame me if you regret knowing it afterward.”
“Felix!”
Natalia was running out of patience and shouted at him.
Felix smiled, then became serious. “Back then I happened to go fishing with some friends. You know I
made friends with a lot of trust fund kids in Othua. We love to go to the sea when we have nothing to
do. It was the same case that day.”
“But I had bad luck. I couldn’t get a single fish after a long time. And I got mad when they all had one.”
"In a fit of anger, I dropped a bomb, trying to get the fish out. But I didn’t expect to get you out instead.”
“What?” Natalia was confused.
What did he mean?
He got her out by a bomb?
Knowing it was too unbelievable, Felix explained with a smile at once, “Well, the bomb exploded in the
water. I thought there must be some fish out. So I cast a fishing net. But it somehow was super heavy. I
could barely pull it back with one hand. I was amazed and thought it could be a shark!”
“So I called a few people to help me pull it out. Guess what, we didn’t get a shark, but a person.”
“After we pulled the fishing net onto the boat, we found you. Well, I think I should apologize to you for
that. You could just be floating on the sea and weren’t badly injured. But I dropped a bomb near you.
You might be injured by the explosion.”
“Um, actually I later seriously suspected that the reason why you lost your memories might not be the
credit of those people. It could be caused by the bomb I dropped."
Hearing that, Natalia clenched her teeth tighter.
She could even see Felix’s proud expression when he said that.
If Felix were right in front of her, she would definitely throw herself to bite him!
But in the end, she still curbed her anger.
“And what happened next?” she asked.
“Next? Oh, I told you before. You’re quite pretty, so I brought you back to the base. I thought you could
be my wife. But unfortunately, we didn’t wed although fate brought us together. You have stolen away
from me!”
