Chapter 1243 Jordy Is the Only Man You Want to Marry

Seeing that Nydia was eating at the table obediently, George was happy.

He was so proud before and thought his pride mattered more than anything, but later he found out he lost happiness because of it.

Now, restricting Nydia to his villa, he found he couldn’t be happier.

After finishing dinner, Nydia looked up at George. “Hey, you should let me go back now, right? I can’t live in your place!”

George raised his eyebrows, “Yep, we haven’t been married yet. I can’t cross the line. I’ll send you home.”

Nydia breathed a sigh of relief as she knew he was a man of his word.

It was getting late. Gloria didn’t know what had happened to Nydia today. She was sitting at the computer in the study room and watching the design drawing.

She fixated on the computer screen, clicked the drawing occasionally and her left hand jabbed the keyboard.

The ringing tone of her phone pulled her out of her head. Seeing the caller ID, she narrowed her eyes. Rachel Roberts? Without hesitation, she picked it up.

“Miss Roberts?”

“Miss White, did I disturb you at this late hour?” Rachel was very polite.

“No, just go ahead.” She knew Rachel would not call her for nothing.

Rachel said with a calm expression, “I investigated the accident that happened at my grandpa’s birthday party and got some clues. I want to talk about it with you.”

“Angela White.”

Gloria squinted, and then said, unconvinced, “Angela White?”

She was not surprised that Rachel knew Angela was alive, but she didn’t expect Rachel would mention Angela.

She knew Angela had looked for Rachel.

She thought they would have an alliance.

After all, in their eyes, she was getting closer and closer to Jordy, their news often made a hit, and Jordy was nicer to her. She thought Angela and Rachel would be allied against her.

Rachel had yet to lay a finger on her, so Gloria was not hostile to her, but Gloria would not relax her vigilance.

Gloria remained silent. Rachel smiled. “Looks like you know Angela is not dead?”

Rachel smiled and added, “Everyone knows I love Jordy. That day Jordy publicly took you away and made me lose face. She wanted to use it to pick a fight between us.”

Gloria was somewhat surprised. “Miss Roberts, you really think so?”

“Was I wrong? There’s no grudge between Angela and me. That’s the only explanation.”

Gloria smiled. “Yep, it made sense.”

Gloria was not sure about Rachel’s real intentions, but she would not truly believe whatever Rachel said.

“I have two things to talk about with you. The first is to tell you who’s behind the accident. I don’t intend to be an enemy against you or be together with Jordy.”

Gloria raised her eyebrows. “Miss Roberts, you once said Jordy was the only man you want to marry, didn’t you?”
