Chapter 46
The day of the big event was finally here.
Three days ago, I planned to go in a different car from Alpha Leo's but after my discussion with the Beta, I decided that it was time to give Alpha Leo a chance. So, I ended up sharing a back seat with Alpha Leo. I was able to reach Janice though we weren't able to talk too much due to the bad network she had. "Have you made up with your friend?" Leo asked.
"Yes. I have."
Yes, I have.
"What about with me?" He asked, taking my hand into his. His eyes on my face.
My cheeks flushed and he beamed. "Everytime your face turns red, I always want to take off your clothes and see your body blush too."
I at the back of the driver's head and got more embarrassed. "Alpha Leo, I whined and he looked at the driver too.
I looked at
"Did you hear anything?" Leo asked the driver and the wolf shook his head.
"Not even one word"
He turned back to me. "See?"
I glared hard at him, but he draped his arms around my shoulders and pulled me close to himself. "Allow me show you off a little," he whispered in my ear and I smiled at the ticklish feeling his lips on my ear gave me. car to a halt. Not only our car. The convoy came to a halt too.
"What is happening?" Alpha Leo growled after we did not move a few minutes later.
"The car mechanic must have done something wrong. We don't know what exactly is wrong. All we know is that all our cars have stopped working." The driver replied and Alpha Leo bared his teeth, causing the driver to cower in fear. I placed a hand on his shoulder, urging him to remain calm and he calmed down.
à Leo tried making a call, but there was barely any network around. We were in the middle of nowhere. And, our only choice was to shift and go back to the pack.
Alpha Leo
Luckily for us, a convoy from another pack drove by. It was from Moonstone pack and since we were at peace with each other, they stopped for us.
The Apha
came out to greet us
Then a she-wolf joined him. I recognized her immediately. She was the same she-wolf that designed all of my dresses. She did a wonderful job. "Alpha Leo. Luna Rita, meet my Luna, Luna Mitchell."Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
My eyes widened.
My fashion designer was a Luna? "Oh my goddess. It's nice to meet you again."
She beamed. "Same here. It's good to see my craft. You make it look perfect."
smiled at her compliment. It felt good getting complimented by a talented Luna. A fashion designier and a Luna? She was

t wonderful. Thank you. I honestly feel honored. I had no idea that you were a Luna"
She grinned. "Well, I was a fashion designer before I became Lun."
After exchanging pleasantries, we joined their convoy and after spending a lot of time on the road, we finally reached our destination. whole
In my
years on earth, I had never attended an event as bigas this one.
A villa was provided for each Alphas present. We were a little late so we had to go straight to the event center while her Jugg and cars were taken to our respective villas.
At the event center, Luna Mitchell and I were separated from our mates. Luna Mitchell filled me in about how it was tradition for the Lunas to meet up with themselves and the Alphas to do the same before the main event began.
I followed Luna Mitchell to meet the other Lunas and immediately I stepped in, all eyes were on us. I initially thought they were looking at Luna Mitchell. She was poised, graceful and beautiful, But, when I heard their whispers. I knew they were looking at me. They kept on whispering my name and asking if was the one
And the glances they gave me too.
Most
were of
of admiration and I could see pure jealousy in the faces of a few. What was there to be jealous about me? I have always seen myself as an average person. It made no sense that someone else would get jealous of me. "Why are they whispering my name? Is it because I'm new?" I asked Mitchell and she smiled.
There are tons of new Lunas like you here, so that's not the reason."
"Then why?" I was lost.
"You are mated to the most powerful and richest Alphas in the pack. You are kind of a big deal here. And, you're beautiful
too
I smiled.
I smil
I wondered if she meant it or if she was only saying so to make me feel good about myself. "I know I don't look horrible, but beautiful is just too much for me."
I
She smiled at me. "You remind me of myself some years back. I thought I was not very beautiful even when I was."
How would she think she was not beautiful? She was one of the most beautiful she-wolves I have seen.
"Hold your head up high," Mitchell continued. "You're the beautiful Luna of one of the most powerful Alphas of all times. The other Lunas envy you."
"We not the bad kind of envy though. The good kind. Maybe a few bad Lunas will envy you the bad way Well, you-know what I mean." She blabbed and we both laughed.
I grinned. "I wonder if they'll continue being envious when they find out that my pack's convoy stopped on its way here."
We both laughed and we were given a seat to sit on
One by one, all the Lunas began to introduce each other.
When it got to my turn, thy applause was the loudest.
The only applause that beat mine was when some Lunas were applauded for the great things they did for their packs. Then it dawned on me that I had not really done much or anything for my pack. I was only recognized here for Alpha Leo's Chapter 46 doings and not mine. As much as I enjoyed the attention, I wanted to be recognized for something I did too.
The Lunas began to share stories about how they met their mate and the privileges they enjoyed as Lunas.
Some were true mates, second chance mates, chosen mates. Some were used to sign peace treaties between packs.
Like me, every single one of these she-wolves had their own challenges. They've faced discrimination, had their doubts and have made stupid decisions.
Some were able to conquer. The rest like me were still trying to conquer their share of challenges.
"I see why Alphas without Lunas are not allowed to attend this event," I said and Mitchell giggled.
"Who told you that?" She asked and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
Am I wrong?"
"The number of Alphas present are twice the number of Lunas present, so yes, you're wrong" "Will you ask me any questions if I ask you this?"
Mitchell smiled. "Do you want me to?"
"No."
"Then, I won't Ask your question?"
"What if an Alpha here told his Luna that he had to make her his mate so he could attend this event?"
Mitchell laughed. "Wow! Possessive and a go-getter. Your Alpha is really something." She shrugged. "It simply means the Alpha loves his Luna and was scared she would reject him."
LEO'S POV
I walked in here, a frown appeared on my face and refused to leave. I did not want to be here.
Since I walk
I wanted to be with my Luna.
As usual the gatherings of Alphas involved heavy drinking and entertainment from beauties around the world.
Seeing some mated Alphas messing around with harlots when they had their beautiful Lunas pi**ed me off. Most of the she-wolves brought down here to entertain Alphas looked my way, but my hard glare was able to scare some off. Sne were bold enough to come near and if they were too bold, they always end up with a broken finger or two. I folded up
my sleeves to show off Rita's mark on my wrist. I wanted them to all know that I was taken.
"A toast," One of the Alphas began. It was Alpha Joe, the Alpha of Night Walkers Pack, a small but powerful pack.
He was mated, but there were about three she-wolves surrounding him. "To Alpha Leo. An Alpha of great wealth and assets. One that has control over so many territories outside his pack. An Alpha of great influence and the strongest network of loyal followers in the werewolf world." A scenario like this was not a new thing to me.
of the Alphas did this mainly to get on my good side.
"I'm offering you one of my mistresses to help you warm up your bed before your Luna joins you," He said and I glared at
him.
One of the she-wolves by his side got up to meet me.
"If you come near me, I'll feed you to dogs," I growled when she was halfway and she ran back to Alpha Joe. He pushed her away when she got to him.
"Alpha Leo," He said. "If you don't mind, I'll introduce you to another she-wolf."
"Only dogs cheat. I'm a powerful wolf not a dog." I said and that was more than enough to shut him up. He sat down in shame and growled at the other two she-wolves and they ran off
I took out my phone and I saw that Darius had sent me a message.
It was about the car mechanic in charge of servicing my convoy.
He had spent a night with Ivy two days before my departure from the pack.
I knew Ivy well enough to know that this was fishy.
