Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 303 Nydia, you’re not qualified to bargain with me

Nydia felt her heart skip a beat.

“You are back, we can eat now,” she said, speaking gently.

Jesse didn’t say anything and washed his hands before heading to the dining room.

The table was filled with a variety of dishes, mostly what he liked or what he would eat.

“Daddy, try this. It’s the first dish that I have made. You have to be the first one to taste it,” Molly said, presenting the dish to Jesse like a treasure.

She took a bite herself and found it delicious, but she didn’t know if her father would like it or not.

Jesse took a bite and nodded at Molly. “It’s delicious.”

“Wow! That’s great! Daddy, eat more, Mommy, you eat too, and brother, you have to eat it all!” Molly was particularly happy, lifting the mood at the table and making the previously dull and oppressive atmosphere lighter.

“I haven’t had Mommy’s cooking for a long time, it’s so delicious. I’m going to have two big bowls of rice tonight,” Tavish said.

“You always have two big bowls of rice,” Tavish said mercilessly.

“Shh! Brother is naughty!” Molly glared at Tavish. “Then I’ll have three bowls tonight.”

Nydia laughed. “You can’t eat so much, your tummy will get upset.”

“Then I’ll eat more veggies.”

Jesse didn’t say anything, eating quietly with his head down, not even glancing at Nydia.

“Daddy, why are you only eating this dish? You should try some of the other dishes too,” Tavish noticed that Jesse had only been eating the cold mixed mushroom dish and hadn’t touched Nydia’s dishes.

“Eat,” Jesse said plainly.

Nydia felt a lump in her throat and could only bury her head in her food to ease her heartache.

Molly and Tavish exchanged glances, and Tavish shook his head at her, telling her not to say anything.

The mood was good during the first half of the meal, but it became very gloomy afterwards.

After finishing the cold mixed mushroom dish, Jesse put down his chopsticks and left the dining room.

Molly turned her head to look at Jesse and made a soft sound of disgust. “Mommy, don’t mind Daddy. Let’s eat by ourselves. Humph, he didn’t even eat Mommy’s cooking? Good, more for us!”

Nydia managed to force a smile. “You guys eat, but don’t eat too much.”

The two children ate until their stomachs were bloated, but Nydia didn’t eat much at all. She just didn’t have the appetite.

But soon she was playing games and telling stories with Molly and Tavish, and she didn’t have time to feel sad.

When the two children went to bed, everything finally settled down.

“Mommy, when I wake up tomorrow, will I still be able to see you?” Molly whispered, lying in her small bed.

“Of course you can. Tomorrow morning, Mommy will still prepare breakfast for you.”

Molly extended her little finger. “Let’s pinky promise!”

“Okay, pinky promise!”

After completing the ceremony, Nydia kissed her forehead and then went over to Tavish and kissed him before leaving their room. She returned to her own room and didn’t know what to do for a moment. She didn’t dare to message Maddie about her job tomorrow because she didn’t know what might happen tonight.

Just as she hesitated, someone knocked on the door. “Missus, Master requests you to go to the study,” said Jeff’s voice.

“Okay.” Nydia came out of the room and went to the study. When she entered, she felt an unusual coldness. It was already late November, and the temperature was not high, but she felt that the temperature in the study was extremely low.

Jesse was still busy with work and didn’t pay attention to her. She sat down on the sofa and waited for Jesse to acknowledge her.

“Come here.” His deep voice sounded, making the temperature in the study even lower.

Nydia got up and walked over. There was a large desk between them. “Sign this.” He took out something from the drawer and placed it on the table.

Nydia lowered her head to look at it, and it was the “Divorce Agreement” written on it. Her heart sank, and she looked at Jesse in disbelief.

Jesse, on the other hand, was indifferent, without any emotions. He put the pen on the divorce agreement, and his attitude was very clear.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

She picked up the divorce agreement, and the pen fell on the table, making a loud noise in this silent moment. She didn’t care much about the property, but what shocked her was that Jesse had divided the two children, and she could choose one to take away, and the chosen one was Molly.

“About the children, is it your idea or the children’s?” Nydia asked.

“It’s my idea.”

“I think it’s necessary to ask the children and respect their opinions.”

Listening to Nydia’s words, Jesse was angry.

“The children are still too young, there is no need to ask for their opinions,” Jesse replied coldly.

“No, we must ask the children’s opinions. They are part of this family and have the right to decide who to stay with!” Nydia slammed the agreement on the table and said angrily.

Jesse looked up at her, his lips curling up in a sarcastic smile.

“Molly looks a lot like you, and I don’t want to see her. Is that reason enough?” His tone was indifferent, as if he was holding a small knife and cutting Nydia’s flesh one by one.

“Jesse, you are being too harsh!” What if Molly heard this? How sad would she be?

“Is that so? Didn’t you say something even more outrageous to Tavish before?”

The impact of this sentence undoubtedly drew a line on her body, and after plunging the tip of the knife in, he stirred it forcefully twice, causing her immense pain.

“Hurry up and sign,” he urged, seeming unwilling to wait even a moment.

Nydia found it ridiculous.

She looked down at the divorce agreement again and picked up the pen in her right hand.

Jesse was tense all over, staring intently at Nydia’s movements without blinking.

He felt as if all the blood in his body had frozen, flowing at an incredibly slow rate, making him feel as if he were in an ice cellar, unable to find any source of warmth.

When her nose was about to touch the paper, Nydia stopped and looked at Jesse.

“Give me three months, and when those three months are up, I will immediately sign my name,” Nydia put down the pen.

Jesse’s heart raced, but his face remained expressionless. When he heard the first sentence, he felt as if he had warmed up a bit, but the last sentence instantly made him freeze, with his blood coagulating and frost spreading across his face, leaving no warmth.

“Three months? What are you planning?” His voice was slightly hoarse, not like the hoarseness from earlier when he was emotional, but like he had been soaked in an ice cave, permeated with icy coldness.

“I have my plans, I just need three months,” Nydia said.

“You are not qualified to negotiate with me!” Jesse suddenly roared, his voice rising sharply. He threw the pen heavily on the ground, causing it to shatter under the force.

Although Nydia was frightened, she quickly recovered and glanced at the broken pen on the ground before saying to Jesse, “This is my requirement, you don’t have to divorce me!”

Her attitude was equally firm.

“Is that so? Do you want to try begging me for a divorce?” His features suddenly became twisted and manic, with the corners of his mouth curling into a cold and bloodthirsty arc.
