Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 270

Nydia was a bit stunned and didn’t react at first. “Are they handsome?”

Jesse was also caught off guard by her answer. He asked in a daze, “Aren’t they handsome?”

“After seeing you, who would still think they are handsome?” Nydia said with a matter-of-fact tone that left Jesse bewildered. Didn’t Nydia used to think Barclay was the most handsome man in the world?

Nydia added, “I need to take a shower. Do you want to go first or should I?”

She hesitated for a moment before saying, “The bathroom here might not be safe for you…”

But she knew Jesse wouldn’t be comfortable without taking a shower. After some thought, Jesse said, “Help me to the bathtub. I will let you know when I’m done, and you can come in and help me out.”

Nydia was surprised. “Don’t you mind?”

“What’s there to mind? It’s just a small gesture.” Nydia mimicked Jesse’s tone.

Jesse smiled faintly, and a playful glint appeared in his eyes. “Then I’ll help you put things in the bathroom.”

“Okay.”

Nydia placed everything Jesse needed in the bathroom, including a foldable support bar that he could use to help himself out of the tub. Not every place was equipped with the necessary equipment for him to move around.

When she walked out of the bathroom, she saw that Jesse had taken off his shirt and was standing by the table, looking a bit strained. But her attention was all on his upper body.

His muscles were smooth and well-defined, not bulky and abrupt, giving his upper body a lean and powerful look. He even had six-pack abs, with the lower two abs half-exposed and alluring.

Her gaze was direct and intense, making Jesse embarrassed. “The Traditional Chinese Doctor gave me some acupuncture these past few days, so I can’t exert as much force in my legs,” he explained.

“How can you still not have any strength after receiving acupuncture?” Nydia found it strange. She remembered when she was a child and Mr. Black gave someone acupuncture. The person who couldn’t walk was able to stand up after a few needles.

“The traditional Chinese doctor said it’s a process. After a few more treatments, it will get better. Vincent also checked my leg and said it hasn’t worsened,” said Jesse.

Nydia nodded, thinking that perhaps every doctor had different treatment methods. Nevertheless, she was happy that Jesse was willing to share these things with her.

She helped him inside and had him sit in the bathtub. “I’ll be outside. If you need anything, just call me,” she said.

“Okay.”

Standing outside, Nydia thought about what Jesse had just said. She wanted to call Mr. Black and ask him about Jesse’s condition. After about fifteen minutes, Jesse’s voice came from inside the bathroom. “I’m okay now.”

“Then I’ll come in.”

When she entered, she saw that he had changed into a clean pair of pants but still wasn’t wearing a shirt. Water droplets were even rolling down his body, causing her to unconsciously lick her lips.

“Don’t do that,” Jesse said hoarsely.

“What did I do?” Nydia walked over and helped him up, and his body heat immediately enveloped her.

“It’s nothing.” Jesse’s skin was slightly flushing, not just his face but his entire upper body.

Who would have thought that the sophisticated and refined Jesse could be so innocent.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

Nydia helped him onto the bed. As she was getting up, she slipped and fell on top of Jesse, her lips brushing past his. Jesse felt his mind go blank.

“I didn’t mean to!” Nydia didn’t expect things to be so coincidental.

Seeing how blushing she was, Jesse awkwardly turned his face away and pulled the blanket up to cover his body. “You should go take a shower!”

Nydia immediately took her things and went into the bathroom.

The bathroom’s glass door was frosted, and he couldn’t see Nydia’s figure clearly, but he could see the blurry silhouette.
