Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 262

Nydia smiled and waited for Jesse to speak, but he remained silent. “I’m tired today, I’m going to bed,” he finally said.

“You should get some rest too,” Nydia replied before walking toward her bedroom. Jesse watched her leave, wanting to say something but not knowing what to say. He stood there motionless until Nydia had already entered her room.

Nydia let out a sigh. The atmosphere was too awkward, and she knew she could ease it, but she didn’t want to. She sat down at her computer desk and started drawing. The store had given her positive feedback on the design she drew for them earlier, so she proposed designing a pillow and seeing how well it would sell. The store owner agreed, thinking that Nydia was a promising artist they could collaborate with.

Designing a pillow required more effort than just drawing a single picture. This was good, as it gave her less time to overthink things. However, someone knocked on her door. Her first thought was that it was Jesse, but when the door opened, Tavish walked in.

“Didn’t you say you were going to bed?” Nydia asked, surprised.

“Mommy, are you and Daddy fighting?” Tavish asked as he closed the door.

Nydia was silent for a moment before nodding. “Yes.”

“How long are you going to be fighting?”

Nydia hadn’t really thought about it. “It probably won’t last long, maybe tomorrow or the day after. I just need some time to adjust my mood. I can’t expect Jesse to apologize to me, so I have to work on my own emotional management.”

“Can I know why you’re fighting?” Tavish’s clear eyes showed a hint of concern.

Nydia thought for a moment about how to phrase her answer.

Tavish is not Molly, he can’t be dismissed as a child, and Nydia needs to answer him seriously.

“If Mommy doesn’t want to talk about it, forget it.”

“It’s not that I don’t want to talk about it, it’s just that it’s complicated. You know Mommy did a lot of bad things before, so Daddy can’t trust Mommy. Mommy is just sad, but not blaming Daddy.”

Tavish suddenly realized.

“I didn’t believe Mommy before, but now I’m starting to believe Mommy. I think Daddy will believe Mommy in a while too.”

Nydia touched Tavish’s face, “Thank you, Tavish. Mommy was wrong before.”

“Before, me, Molly, and Daddy were all very sad. Now it’s Mommy’s turn to be sad, and we’re even.” He smiled, revealing two neat rows of teeth, and his long eyelashes fluttered.

“That’s definitely not even, Mommy made you all sad for so long, and now Mommy is only sad for a short while.”Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Tavish sighed.

“When Mommy is sad, you don’t cook us good food to eat. Mommy, don’t be sad anymore.” After speaking, he touched his own stomach. “Look, it’s been a long time since we had Mommy’s cooking, and I’ve become skinny from hunger.”

Pfft!

Looking at Tavish’s chubby belly, Nydia couldn’t see where he was skinny at all.

“Okay, Mommy won’t be sad anymore. Thank you, Tavish. Mommy will make you delicious food tomorrow.”

“In that case, I’ll give Mommy a kiss as a reward.” Tavish was a bit shy when he said this, but he still leaned in and gave Nydia a kiss. “Mommy, good night.”

“Tavish, good night!”

Nydia touched her cheek, feeling her heart was warm, and all the sadness from before was smoothed out.
