Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 203

Chapter 203

Dylan looked over at Scott and Naomi and smiled as if he recounted the legend of the dish just for them.

Scott His fingers moved a little on his cup. He looked at Dylan, wondering what Dylan was going to say.

Naomi, on the other hand, did not think much about the dish's legend. Sure, Dylan's stories were meaningful, but it was also his job to share such information. Nonetheless, she listened to the stories intently so she could remember them.

Dylan looked at Scott and smiled even wider. He turned to look at Naomi and said, "Legend has it that if couples eat this dish, and if they're a good pair, they'll spend the rest of their lives together. If they're not fated together, however, they'll part."

Naomi was stunned. Was there really such a thing?

"That's why this dish has become sort of a compatibility test for couples. Many couples come here to eat this dish."

Dylan smiled at everyone.

Everyone chuckled.

"This is something you young people should do. We older people won't get involved!"

"Yes, you youngsters can do this! It has nothing to do with us."

Most of them were older. Only Scott, Naomi, Dylan, Chandler's secretary, and two other staff were the younger ones. Moreover, only Naomi and Scott were a couple.

Hearing what everyone was saying, Dylan smiled at Scott and added, "The legend has it that if a husband and wife eat this dish, and if they're a good pair, their relationship will improve, and they'll only part in death. Otherwise, they'll split up and become strangers."

Chandler furrowed his brow at Dylan, knowing that Dylan was messing around again.

He knew that Dylan and Scott had been great friends for many years. Although Dylan was naughty, he could read the room, which was why Chandler said nothing.

He merely looked at Dylan and shot Dylan a look, signaling for him to behave.

Dylan ignored Chandler. He was deliberately recounting the legend for Scott. He wanted to see what Scott would do.

He was not even lying. Everything he said was indeed part of the legend passed down from generation to generation.

Scott's fingers twitched at how boldly Dylan spoke. He put down the cup before picking up some vegetables from the dish and placed them on Naomi's dish before taking some fish for himself from the same dish.

Dylan's smile widened.

Scott was a gutsy one, no doubt. After all, it was normal. Scott did not believe any of those legends or myths. They meant nothing to him.

Naomi looked at the vegetable on her plate and was stunned.

She believed in science, but at the same time, there were a lot of things in this world that could not be explained with science. Nothing was truly absolute. No one could be 100 percent sure of everything.

She believed in all possibilities, just like the legends and the myths. Nonetheless, she was not obsessed with it.

Naomi would treat 'Till Death Do Us Part' like a normal dish and enjoy the beautiful story behind it, but she would not pray or make any wishes.

She never had any of those sorts of thoughts. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

However, it baffled her that right after what Dylan said, Scott put some of that dish onto her plate as if he was trying to prove something.

Everyone never saw it coming either. It happened all too quickly. They thought that Scott would say a thing or two or ignore Dylan, but never that he would actively take some of the dish and put it on Naomi's plate.

They did not know if he did not care about Dylan's story or if he was just bold.
