Chapter 185 Blanca’s Kindness
Chapter 185 Blanca’s Kindness
Blanca anxiously sat on the sofa in the living room, feeling very complicated.
The pendant was the only relic that grandma left to herself. If she lost the pendant, even if she found
her relatives one day, she would have no way to prove her identity at all.
She took a pencil and scribbled it randomly on the sketch paper. She wanted to draw the pendant, but
somehow she ended up drawing a portrait of Matthew.
“Get in there!”
There was a loud noise outside the door all of a sudden. Blanca was taken aback and stood up quickly.
She saw Clark staggering in, followed by Curtis behind him.
Blanca took a step back subconsciously and saw that Clark was a little wary and worried. She also
unexpectedly discovered the swollen bruises on Clark’s face.
“Sor-sorry Mrs. Grant! I’m such an asshole. I shouldn’t have lied to you, let alone hurt you - I was
wrong.” Clark was pressed to the ground by Curtis and said these words awkwardly.
Clark’s face flushed - he’d rather die here today than make an apology.
But Matthew threatened him with his family, Clark had no choice but to do as told.
He was the young master of the White family. The arrogance he had since childhood made him not
want to bow his head, but he did not dare to take the future of the White family as a bet. Otherwise, he
would die without a place to be buried.
“Matthew sent you, didn’t he?” Blanca was calm at the moment.
With Curtis around, Blanca did feel much safer and wouldn’t worry about Clark hurting her possibly.
“Mrs. Grant, Mr. Grant went to look for the pendant for you. It’d be your decision to make of how Clark
should be dealt with.” Curtis elaborated.
Just now coming out of Louise’s villa, Matthew asked him to bring Clark back and just let Blanca make
the decision. As for Matthew himself, he needed to “escort” Louise back home.
Matthew wouldn’t cut her loose, even though she was his so-called sister. She had done such a terrible
thing to Blanca after all.
Blanca looked at Clark, who was now in such a bad shape, she didn’t feel happy at all but rather
complicated.
They could just do whatever they wanted because they were rich, weren’t they?
“Let him go.” Blanca said.
There was no bad blood between Blanca and Clark. Besides, Louise used him. Blanca’s true enemy
was Louise. It wouldn’t help with the situation if they continued to take it out on Clark. Additionally,
Blanca had gotten used to this kind of things since she was a child, and it was not really such a big
deal to her.
“Let him go? Mrs. Grant, but...”
Curtis said anxiously. Matthew had told him that he must make sure Clark would get the retribution he
deserved!
Blanca nodded again. While Curtis was hesitant, there was a sound from a sports car engine - Matthew
had got out of the car and walked in. When he saw Blanca, he strode directly toward her. Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
“Was my pendant found?” Blanca asked in surprise.
All she cared about was the pendant.
She grabbed Matthew’s arm with full expectation but did not get the answer she had been waiting for.
Matthew frowned, and words came from his thin lips, “It got sent away.”
Matthew searched both Louise’s and Clark’s places but didn’t find the pendant. He didn’t believe that
the pendant had gone missing by accident. Clark must have something to do with this.
“What should we do now?” Blanca started panicking.
Matthew had a full view of the expression on her face, and for the first time he made a promise to
someone, “I will get it back for you, okay?”
Blanca bit on her lip, knowing that Matthew was not the one to blame for this matter. She hadn’t
protected her things in the first place, either. So she nodded.
Blanca pointed at Clark who was still kneeling on the ground, “What should we do about him?”
