Chapter 40
"You scared away my woman tonight."
Vivienne sneered, "You guys scared away my sleepiness tonight."
"Since we can't sleep, want to play a game?"
Vivienne took another puff of her cigarette and extinguished it on the balcony. "I'm not interested in old men."
She raised her hand and went back to bed.
As she opened the sliding door to enter her room, she heard the man next door curse: "Damn it..."
Suddenly Vivienne's mood improved. Someone was unsatisfied with their desires; they probably wouldn't be able to sleep tonight.
It was just past six o'clock when Megan arrived.
Vivienne had only slept for two hours and yawned as she got up with messy hair to answer the door.
Leaning lazily against the doorway with closed eyes, Vivienne asked, "Megan, why are you here so early?"
But then she heard Megan talking excitedly with someone else: "Mr. Stone, do you also live here? What a coincidence!"
Vivienne rubbed her bleary eyes and suddenly realized that this was the man from last night - famous singer Maxwell Stone.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
Her black pajamas were neither conservative nor sexy, but that color complemented her snow-white skin. She looked lazy, leaning there half-asleep with slightly squinted eyes and parted lips while tousled long hair added an indescribable sex appeal.
Maxwell Stone suddenly said: "Perfect timing! I need a female lead for my new music video. You're quite talented; would you like to take part?" Megan became ecstatic: "Really? To star in your music video is something Vivienne has always dreamed of!"
As Vivienne opened her hazy eyes again, they met his face directly across from hers, even though he wore glasses. She felt like she could see into his soul through his eyes. They smiled at each other, tacitly acknowledging what had happened last night.
Vivienne extended her hand slowly to meet his: "I'm Vivienne..."
Maxwell Stone seemed to intentionally or unintentionally grip her hand tightly and even gave it a little squeeze before letting go. Vivienne chuckled inwardly.
