Obsessive CEO’s Sinful Wife

Chapter 663

Chapter 663

Someone suddenly kicked the man to the ground before he could say anything else.

“Oh, sorry, I couldn’t stop in time,” Jackson said flatly, his left foot still stepping on the man’s chest, crushing him. Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

The man screamed in pain, his face red. He could not shake away the foot that was on his chest.

Uncle Francis, Uncle Desmond, and Aunt Theresa saw the commotion and rushed over, trying to calm him. “Mr. Valor… W- Why do this at a funeral?”

It would be disrespectful to the dead if something were to happen.”

“The man’s just spouting nonsense. Mr. Valor, please don’t take him seriously!”

Jackson looked at the three siblings nonchalantly. “I think Granny wouldn’t want to see someone slandering her granddaughter in such a manner. She might agree with me. What do you think?” His smile was cold and unfriendly, sending chills down the spine of the three

“Of course! Of course!”

“Yeah. He’s just trying to cause trouble because Serenity refused his marriage proposal!”

“People like him aren’t welcomed here. Serenity is a precious family member. How could he humiliate her?! Serenity has always been my mother’s favorite.”

The three siblings spoke up and took Serenity’s side. Uncle Francis even called security to escort the man and his family out of

the hall.

This turn of events stunned the guests. They thought Serenity, an ex–convict, would be weak and powerless. No one expected her to have such a ruthless boyfriend.

The man who had tried to provoke Serenity was taken away by the security guards. His face was blue, and he was wailing with his hand on his chest. The guests wondered if Jackson had crushed the man’s chest, breaking his bones.

The guests also observed how the Walker family was treating Serenity. They did not seem to be treating her like an ex–convict but a guest of honor. It seemed as though they were afraid of upsetting her.

Lynette looked at Jackson and Serenity with cold eyes. She never thought jackson would be so protective of her cousin, an ex- convict. Having been to Solaria and participated in some high society parties with Lucas, she knew very well about how fearful Jackson was.

Lynette could not help but feel jealous seeing a powerful man like Jackson be so protective of Serenity.

She could not understand. Why was her cousin so lucky? Serenity had saved Lucas when she was a kid. Later, she had dated Zeke. Zeke had eventually abandoned her because she had gone to prison, but she had ended up with Jackson after she had gotten out of jail!

Lynette felt defeated. It felt as if she could never be better than Serenity!

“I owndid it a little. Sorry for interrupting your Granny’s funeral,” Jackson said to Serenity.

Serenity shook her head. “Like you said, knowing that someone had just humiliated me, Granny would have approved of what you just did.”

Jackson might be a little harsh, but Serenity knew he was just protecting her. Perhaps that was the way of the world. Showing weakness would only allow your enemy to get the better of you. Serenity had

learned this while in prison!
