Startled by the sudden opening of the door, Lenora looked up at him..

Zachary slowly walked in, casually closing the door behind him. "How did you end up moving into this room?"

"I'm thinking of moving somewhere else and maybe moving back later," Lenora said. Then she asked, "Do you need something from me?"

Listening to Lenora's tone, Zachary frowned, took out a black card, and placed it on the bedside table. He pushed it toward Lenora. "Feel free to buy anything you like."

Lenora glanced at the black card. "No need. You can take it back. I haven't lost anything."

"This is what I promised you. I broke my word, and I should rightfully compensate you."

Lenora pursed her lips. "Really, there's no need.

"Don't be formal with me. Lenora, I know you're deliberately distancing yourself from me right now, but there's no need for that. Even after the divorce, you're still the beloved granddaughter of our grandparents. It's impossible for us to never see each other again, so we might as well face it openly."

Face it openly...

He's speaking so simply, merely because he harbors no feelings for me.

Was she expected to calmly face the loving relationship between him and Susanna as a married couple?

She couldn't do it.

Lenora lowered his gaze and softly sighed. "Just leave it there."

"Good night."

"Good night."

Zachary turned and left the room.

On Saturday morning. Zachary went downstairs carly to go for a run.

Miranda was cleaning the living room when she saw Zachary come down. She called out. "Mr. Fuller."

Zachary walked to the door, suddenly stopped, and asked, "Do you know why Mrs. Fuller moved out of the master bedroom?"Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.

"I forgot to inform you, on Tuesday someone had sent a threatening package to Mrs. Fuller via courier. It contained filthy items and emitted a pungent smell. It was accidentally spilled on the bedsheet and floor, which led Mrs. Fuller to move out of the master bedroom." Zachary was taken aback. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

"At the time, you were on a business trip, so Mrs Fuller didn't allow us to inform you."

"Did you report it to the police? Do you know who did it?"

"Yes, and an immediate investigation revealed that it was a high school student. He was..."

Miranda hesitated for a moment.

Zachary then asked, "Who is he?"

"He's a fan of Ms. Carston."

Although Miranda usually didn't watch the news often, she would certainly pay attention to the news related to her employer.

She had been working in this household for nearly three years, and her employers were kind and generous. She was very satisfied with her job.

Over the past three years, she had observed the young couple's transformation from being strangers to becoming intimately acquainted, from a mere marriage of convenience to a match made in heaven.

When she went back to discipline her son, she always told him to learn from Zachary.

Unexpectedly, their marriage only lasted for three years, Just like other men, Zachary began to seek the company of other women.

On Tuesday, Susanna's fan.

Zachary understood now. No wonder Lenora was somewhat agitated that day.

She asked, "Am I just supposed to take the injustice lying down? Am I supposed to accept the insults without a fight?"

A wave of bitterness surged in Zachary's heart, his emotions incredibly complex.

He made his way back upstairs, treading lightly. He slowly approached Lenora's room, pressed down on the door handle, and the door wung open.

Peering through the crack in the door, he saw that Lenora was still sound asleep.

This girl didn't lock the door when she went to sleep at night.

Zachary tiptoed to the bedside, where Lenora was curled up on the bed, lying on her side. Her hair was disheveled, spread out on the pillow, and her small face was almost buried in the quilt. It was said that this posture signified a lack of security.

Zachary couldn't help but recall a day, ten years ago, when he returned to the Fuller residence and found an additional girl in the house. The girl lifted her eyes and cautiously addressed him. He didn't feel much about the extra girl at home; the family didn't lack that bit of money.

The young girl was sensible and polite. Every time he visited the Fuller residence, she would courteously greet him.

In the blink of an eye, ten years had already passed.

In a corner he paid no attention to, she grew and bloomed quietly like a resilient flower.

Zachary watched as Lenora was about to wake up and slowly withdrew from the room.

Lenora woke up at eight in the morning, had breakfast, tidied up a bit, and put on some makeup. She left the house around nine and arrived at Goldary Mall just after nine.

Sophia was seated in a coffee shop, waving to Lenora through the glass.

Lenora walked into the coffee shop. Sophia pushed a cup of latte in front of her. "Here, I just ordered this for you. It's freshly made and still hot."

Thanks." Lenora sat on the high stool, took the latte, inserted the straw, and began to sip it slowly.

"Shall we head to the third floor or the fourth floor first?"

The third and fourth floors were both dedicated to clothing.

"The third floor," Lenora said leisurely, sipping her drink. "Why didn't you invite Fiona to come along?"

Sophia burst into laughter. "Don't even mention her. She's been working overtime these past few days! She's not only handling our project, but the main issue is that she's been complaining about Susanna's team being too fussy. They're not satisfied if the breasts are too small, and neither if they're too large. Have you ever seen anyone demanding earlobe

modifications? They want the earlobes to be rounded and drooping, signifying good fortune. She's nearly exhausted to death recently."

Lenora chuckled, a laugh escaping her lips.

"Don't laugh. I'm serious. Fiona is really pitiful. But it's also true that Susanna's chest is quite small."

As she spoke, Sophia shifted her gaze onto Lenora, her eyes filled with ambiguity. "Unlike you, Nora. Your future children will certainly be blessed," she said.

This girl...

Lenora's face flushed. "Don't talk nonsense."

"I'm not making this up, Nora. Can you share some of your experience with me? How did you manage to make it so big?"

"No comments." Lenora bit her straw and averted her gaze.

Before marriage, it indeed wasn't that big, but after getting married, it gradually grew larger.

After finishing their latte, the two of them, hand in hand, left the coffee shop. They took the escalator up to the third floor.

The salesperson sized up the two individuals from head to toe, approaching them with a beaming smile. With great enthusiasm, they promoted the store's recently best-selling clothes to them.

Lenora and Sophia each took two sets of clothes into the fitting room to try them on.

"As expected of you. Nora, your taste is impeccable. It fits perfectly," Sophia exaggeratedly

said.

The sales assistant nearby was also incessantly persuading.

With a cool and efficient manner, Lenora picked out two pieces of clothing. When she approached the counter to pay, she took out her wallet. Unintentionally, her eyes caught sight of a black card tucked away in a corner. She hesitated for a moment, then took it out, "Use this one."

Upon seeing the card, the front desk cashier carefully took it, treating her with increasing

respect.

"Darn it!" Sophia screamed loudly, "You're something else, Nora, Ms. Wealthy, take me under your wing! Ms. Wealthy, I beg you to support me"

With a smile, Lenora walked up to Sophia. She lifted her chin with her index finger and said, "Sweetheart, how about keeping me company for one night for a hundred thousand?"

"Don't just speak of one night; even ten nights would be fine."

"Hahaha, get lost."

Zachary's phone chimed with a text message alert.

He pulled out his phone and saw a message from the bank notifying him of a deduction.

Lenora was using his card for payment.

"Zack, whose message is it?"

Susanna wanted to move closer to him to see his phone.

Zachary switched off the screen. "It's nothing. Have you finished reading?"

"It's not ready yet, Zack. What do you think of this necklace? Doesn't it match perfectly with that bracelet?" Susanna tilted her chin to show off the necklace around her neck. The delicate little wings design was dazzlingly beautiful, with a blue sapphire embedded in the middle.

"Indeed, it's quite suitable."

"Then, I'll buy it."

Lenora and Sophia carried their shopping bags and exited one clothing store only to enter another.

After visiting three clothing stores in succession, the next stop was a jewelry store.

"Let's go and take a look inside."

Upon seeing the two women enter, the sales assistant warmly approached them. "Ladies, may I assist you with anything?"

"We'll have a look at the necklaces," Lenora said,

"Please come this way."

Upon hearing the familiar voice, Zachary looked up, momentarily taken aback.

Lenora also looked over in this direction, their eyes meeting.
