"They all have one thing in common. They don't like meddling in oth people's affairs or probing into other people's business. When the come over, we can just play with Lexi in the backyard," Samson sai Linda knew they were prepared, but people who wanted to could always find the opportunity to strike.

"Don't worry, I guarantee Lexi's photos won't appear online unless w want them to." Samson's words reassured Linda.Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

On New Year's Day, Linda woke up early because Lexi came knocking

on the door.

"Mommy, you lazy pig. The sun is almost up. Why are you still in bed "The childish voice echoed in Linda's ears, accompanied by a banging on the door.

Linda rubbed her eyes and got out of bed to see Lexi dressed in a festive outfit. "Lexi, aren't you sleepy since you went to bed late last night?”

It was around 1:00 am when she got home. Now, it was just 8:15 am

Lexi shook her head. The bell on her lucky charm jingled with her

movements.

"I'm not sleepy, Mommy, but why aren't you up yet?"

Linda leaned against the door frame. "Because I'm a lazy pig, I want to sleep a little longer."

Lexi made a pig face with her finger on her nose and said earnestly," But Daddy told me there's no pig as beautiful as you are.

"Right, there's no pig as pretty as Mommy." Samson's voice came from the opposite room as he opened the door.

"Lexi, your Daddy just got up. Why didn't you wake him up? Why did you wake me instead?" Linda asked.

Lexi confidently replied, "Because I woke Daddy up half an hour ago. He just went to get ready, but you're the lazy pig!"

Linda had no choice but to go into the bathroom to freshen up. The family of three went downstairs for breakfast together.

Simon and Celine had gone out, leaving just a few maids at home. The maids would usually celebrate the New Year holidays, but because they were paid well, they chose to stay. "Mommy, Daddy said the sun's bright today. We can fly kites in the backyard," Lexi said while having her oatmeal.

Linda looked out the window.

She had returned late last night, so she hadn't noticed that the villa was festively decorated for the New Year.

Floating helium balloons or suspended pom poms were everywhere in the house.

"Flying kites in winter?" Linda didn't quite understand Samson's logic.

"Flying kites is normal as long as the weather is nice and there's some wind."

It was just an entertainment activity, so why should it be seasonal?

Linda didn't understand but went along with it.

When Simon and Celine returned, they brought a house full of relatives.

As expected, they all asked about the child.

Since Samson publicly acknowledged having a daughter, everyone was curious about her, but no one had seen her in person yet.
