William took the contract over. "Do you think I'm that detestable? To the point that she doesn't even want
to see me?"
Jay no longer felt the same fear toward William after the previous incident. "Mr. Wilson, put yourself in her shoes. Won't you feel hateful too if those things happened to you instead?"
William had never considered thinking from a different perspective.
Linda was just a young lady. How could she face her enemy with a smile after everything she had endured? Was that even possible?
Jay had mentioned it countless times, but William never listened.
Jay continued, "Mr. Wilson, I understand you'd say you're deceived, but were you truly deceived, or were you just pretending to be? Only you know the truth.
"The reality is that what you've done over the years has caused immense pain to Ms. Linda."
It didn't matter if William loved her right now since his actions alone were enough to disgust anyone.NôvelDrama.Org owns this.
"Mr. Wilson, I honestly think you should let go. After all, Ms. Linda has a better life now. Samson, who shares common interests with her, Jimmy her long-time friend, and Luke, who's very close to her. From an outsider's perspective, they all suit Ms. Linda better than you do.
"At least everything they do now makes her feel comfortable and happy, not repeatedly belittling her."
How could William not understand that? However, some things were beyond his control.
Linda was undoubtedly a wonderful person.
The more William realized so, the more he hated himself for his past actions. He wished nothing more than to go back and kill his former self.
"Mr. Wilson, we have to move forward. You can't keep trapping yourself in the past."
Jay turned and left the office as he felt he might have said too much.
William sat alone, feeling lost
There were five days left until the new movie premiered
Linda finally made an appearance during the most recent roadshow.
When Linda arrived at the venue, she didn't attract much attention and blended in just like another fan.
Some insiders mentioned that Linda was now the vice president of YK Media, so it was natural for her to come and check things out since YK Media had invested in the movie. After the screening, the main cast and other directors took the stage.
The assistant director, Riley Ferrell, was a burly man.
"I'm sure many of you are wondering why our director isn't here today. Please stay calm. Our director is actually here already."
At this point, Linda stood up. Riley Immediately handed her the microphone.
She spoke, "There's recently been a lot of buzz online. People seem very curious about who I am and
what kind of person I am. Let me introduce myself. I'm Amber F, the director of 'Stellar Abyss."
