My Wife Is A Masquerade Master

Chapter 28

Chapter 28

Madison knew that she couldn’t get the drafts back, and she was well aware that Neville would never allow her to harm Daisy or Regina.

Neville could defend his family but had never protected her.

Suddenly, Madison let out a cold sneer. “Fine, Mr. Preston, I hope you can stay away from me in the future. Even if we meet, treat me as a stranger. Don’t lecture me on the identity of my ex–husband”

Neville frowned. Since the divorce, Madison had become sharp–tongued

He didn’t like this feeling at all.

Madison lowered her gaze to her suitcase, feeling that it was meaningless to take these things away.

They had divorced, and she shouldn’t keep anything related to him.

I’m sorry, Mr. Preston. I’ve dealt with too much rubbish today and don’t have the energy to deal with this. Could you please do me a favor and dispose of the rubbish for me?” Madison said.

She took out two banknotes from her bag, stuffed them into Neville’s collar, then turned to leave.

Neville’s face darkened. Was she giving him garbage disposal fees? And mimicking the way bar ladies stuffed service fees into male models collars was a blatant insult to Neville.

Annoyed, he crumpled the banknotes and threw them on the ground.

Daisy screamed, “Neville, why did you let that b*tch go? She smashed Mom’s porcelain vases!”

Neville had a headache and was extremely annoyed. He sternly said, “Shut up! Don’t provoke her in the future!”

Regina was also shocked by her son and dared not make a sound.

Daisy vented all her anger on the suitcase Madison left behind, kicking and hitting it. “Bitch! Bitch!”

Neville frowned and said. “Daisy Preston, that’s enough!”

Daisy instantly stopped her actions and tensed up.

She was most afraid that he called her by her full name, which meant a final warning.

Neville rubbed his temples and walked towards the stairs. Halfway there, he turned back to instruct the servant. “Pack up the suitcase and put it back in the attic, in case she comes back to settle scores with us later.”

Regina stared at his back, muttering with mixed feelings, “Does Neville fall for Madison?”

Daisy immediately retorted, “How is that possible? Madison is not only poor and fierce but also shameless, Why would Neville like her? Besides, he likes Alison. Madison is nowhere near her league.”

“True.” Regina suddenly asked, “By the way, what did you take from her?”

Daisy, feeling guilty, said, “I just thought the box looked nice and took it away, but I never opened it. Later, I lost it. I have no idea what was inside.

Regina, lying on the sofa, with a cold towel on her forehead. “Forget it. What good thing could she have?”

Madison couldn’t get the wedding dress drafts she designed before, and it gave her a headache.

A wedding dress holds a symbolic significance of sanctity and romance. Madison had once been filled with anticipation for her own wedding, imbuing the wedding dress with profound meaning. However, reality dealt her a harsh blow. She had experienced a dreadful marriage that shattered her initial hopes and dreams. Now, she found herself unable to design wedding dresses with the same heartfelt emotions she once possessed. Instead, she relied on her memory to sketch the outlines of these dresses, trying to capture the essence of what they should represent.

With her exceptional memory, Madison was able to swiftly recreate the sketches, spending just a morning to restore them.

As she laid her eyes on her past dreams once more, she couldn’t help but be overcome with emotions. It was a reminder that the most innocent things held a profound beauty.

Even now, seeing these sketches, she still found them stunning

With these sketches, she could definitely defeat Alison in the competition.

There was no more food in the fridge, and Madison drove her Koenigsegg to the city for groceries and shopping.

This villa was good except that it was a bit far from the city. After driving for an hour, she arrived.

It happened to be the weekend, and the supermarket parking lot was already full. Madison had to park her car on the side of

the road.

After parking, Madison entered the supermarket with a reusable handwoven bag.

“Daisy, isn’t she the maid from your house!” Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

“Yeah, I remember she always brings that handwoven bag when she goes out. What a rustic.”

Laughter erupted.

Daisy’s eyes followed the direction of their gaze until they fell upon Madison. Inwardly, she couldn’t help but curse her bad luck, feeling frustrated with the timing of this encounter.

Whenever she brought her classmates to the Preston family, she would always portray Madison as nothing more than a maid deliberately omitting any mention of her marriage to Neville.

“Yeah, but she’s been fired now.

“Oh, why? Her cooking was quite good. I kind of miss it.“

“Yeah, she looked honest. How did she get fired?” one of Daisy’s friends asked.

Daisy sneered. “She has a habit of stealing”

What did she steal?”

Daisy, struggling to find a way to frame Madison, gritted her teeth and said, “Not only did she steal, but she also tried to seduce my brother. How despicable!”

“It’s too despicable. She doesn’t know her place. She thinks she can charm every man just because she’s beautiful.”

“You never truly know someone. I never expected her to be so promiscuous.”

Daisy, satisfied with her friends‘ mockery, sighed. “She even sold the stolen things. We couldn’t get them back, so we had to let her go.

Her friends were indignant and said, “Daisy, don’t worry. We’ve got your back!”

Daisy’s face showed a triumphant smile. “When we get to the mall, just take whatever you like. I’ll foot the bill.”

Madison didn’t have a good meal every day during the past years in the Preston family. So she had a stomach problem, and

p of warm milk.

very night, she would force herself to drink a cup

Now, as she was picking out milk, a cup of yogurt suddenly poured down on her head.

“Oops, sorry, I didn’t mean it

Before Madison could wipe the yogurt off her face, a second cup was poured over her.

“Don’t get us wrong. I just want to help you cover up the b*tch’s stench on you. Otherwise, no one dares to get close to you.”

“Yeah, how can you seduce men in this way?” one of Daisy’s friends mocked.

Laughter erupted among the group.

Madison wiped the yogurt off her face and looked at them coldly, and when she saw the young women, she knew who was behind all this.

Instead of being angry, Madison smiled. “Girls, do you know the consequences of provoking me?
