Chapter 1147
Celeste’s favorite TV show is “Embroidery Exhibition“. She never missed an episode and always made sure she was parked in front of the TV on
time.
Liam wasn’t enthusiastic about such shows, but he would keep her company and killed time when free.
That’s what he thought, anyway.
From Celeste’s perspective, Liam just wants to hog the television. Whenever she goes to the bathroom during commercial breaks, Liam switches to a financial or sports channel. He’d even deliberately hold onto the remote control, forcing Celeste to brainstorm ways to get it from him.
Little did Celeste know that was Liam’s way of interacting.
In the digital age. Celeste still preferred to watch shows on TV like an old–timer. She worried that using a phone would affect her eyesight, and for her, an actor’s eye expression played a crucial role in portraying emotions. Thus, she cherished her eyes. Even when watching a show, she’d take a walk outside after an episode to relax her eyes.
Liam was certain that Celeste would never give up fighting for the remote control.
After all, if he didn’t do this, she’d binge–watch multiple episodes and wouldn’t initiate a conversation unless he did. But once he took (Te
control, she’d start talking to him, whether it was through threats, bribes, or sweet talk, all of which Liam enjoyed.
It was during one of these times when Celeste was watching a variety show that she first initiated a conversation with him. Her eyes shoe, her expression smug, and she couldn’t wait to share something with him.
Liam gave her a rare glance, “It’s not you, is it?”
“Congratulations, you guessed right.”
Liam gave her a once–over, “I wouldn’t have guessed.”
Celeste snorted, “That’s because I’m not wearing that dress.” she said, standing up and heading upstairs, “you wait here. I’ll go change
She put on the same long dress she wore on the plane and twirled in front of Liam, “What do you think? Do I look like a fairy descending to ep or a swan taking flight?”
Liam’s brow twitched. He took a few more glances and suddenly said, “Stand still, don’t speak. Let me take another look.”
Celeste immediately struck a pose with her sleeves flaring back, her hands clasped in front of her and her e eyes slightly lowered. She indeed looked a bit like a fairy.
Liam took a detailed look at her, suppressing his excitement.
Celeste blinked and moved closer, “Well? Don’t I?” Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
Liam averted his eyes and said, “Sandra probably didn’t hear you speak. If she did, she would’ve created a roaring tiger in the woods.”
Celeste glared at Liam and huffed, “Man who don’t appreciate!”
That hadn’t dampened Celeste’s enthusiasm to share her story.
Liam had once overheard her talking to Trisha Colton about this over the phone, ending with a sigh, “If only I could try it on and take a picture”
One day, her wish came true.
Liam was going on a business trip and insisted on bringing her along, saying his grandmother was particularly fond of the porcelain vases there and asked her to help pick a few.
Celeste reluctantly followed, and there, “coincidentally” ran into Sandra again.
Sandra recognized her instantly and coupled with the fact that Liam was the sponsor of their recent event, she warmly invited them to visit her embroidery shop.
They had a pleasant chat, and before leaving, Sandra even gifted her the dress.
