My Rich Hot and Infertile or Maybe Not Husband

Chapter 1107

Chapter 1107

“So, what’s the deal then? Can you clue me in?” She was racking her brains, simplifying the explanation to avoid getting Liam all worked up. She thought he would offer her comfort and care, but he was still hung up on her meeting with Mason. Celeste was disappointed

“You’re always keeping me in the dark, whether it’s about keeping me away from Mason or why you left me at the wedding! You always have your reasons and always have your troubles! In your eyes, I’m never someone you can trust!”

Liam felt a headache coming on. He didn’t want to argue with her “It’s not about trust, I’m just looking out for you.

“That’s the last thing I want to hear!” Celeste cut him off. “You’re just assuming you’re doing what’s best for me. If you really cared, you’d tell me why”

Liam stayed silent momentarily, then said, “Mason has dissociative identity disorder. I don’t know when he might have an episode, and I worry you might get hurt.”

Celeste was taken aback. “What’s dissociative Identity Disorder?”

Liam spent a few minutes explaining, and Celeste finally got the picture.

Dissociative identity disorder is a mental illness where a person imagines they’re someone else during an episode. They can’t control their actions, and their personality changes drastically. It’s kind of like having multiple personalities, but they forget what they did during the episode once they’re back to normal.

Celeste had never heard of such a disease before. The bizarre nature of the condition made her suspect Liam was making up a disease to deceive her.

She pulled out her phone and did a quick search. Sure enough, such a disease did exist. NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.

Celeste thought back on her interactions with Mason. He seemed even more normal than most. How could he possibly be sick?

“Wikipedia doesn’t say that they become violent when they have an episode. Why are you worried he would harm me? And he seems perfectly normal now, and he’s very logical. Besides, if he had a mental illness, he wouldn’t be able to work as a lawyer. right?”

Liam replied. “He’s been undergoing hypnotherapy for the past few years, and it’s kept his condition under control for now. But no one knows if he’ll relapse. If he remembers everything. I’m afraid he might hurt you out of paranoia.”

Celeste found this odd and asked, “Why would he want to hurt me?”

Liam stayed silent for a while, then muttered, “Just a hypothesis.” To alert Celeste, he added, “Once, when he had an episode, he killed the dog he’d raised. When he came to, he held the dog and cried.”

But Celeste wasn’t scared. She felt sympathy instead. “It’s not his fault. You said he can’t control his actions when he’s having an episode. Killing the dog he’d raised must have filled him with guilt when he came to.”

“From what I read, this disease is often linked to traumatic experiences in childhood. I’ve always wondered how Mason could stay so optimistic after everything he’s been through Turns out it’s because he’s driven himself to the point of illness.”

She turned to Liam and said. “As his friend, you and Nicolas Francis should take him out more often. Help him let go of his issues, and maybe then he won’t have episodes anymore”

Turns out all his talking only served to stoke her sympathy.

“Aren’t you afraid he might hurt you when he has an episode?”
