Chapter 226
The woman hurled insults as she clawed at Celena's dress. Celena's face was streaked with tears and marred by the red welts of slaps, blood trickling from her mouth. Her hair was a tangled mess; she fought back and tried to dodge, looking utterly defeated.
Desperate to flee the nightmare of the private room, Celena's attempts to run were thwarted as hands kept pulling her back, leaving her no choice but to scream for help.
"Liam! Save me! My love... please... save me! My love..."
Her cries grew increasingly desperate as she hoped for Liam to rescue her. However, the music blared at full volume, swallowing her pleas. Liam could not possibly have heard her. Celena's tears flowed freely, her voice growing raspier with each cry for help.
Samara, in a rage, yanked Celena's hair and pinched her chin with her long fingers. Her sharp nails dug in, piercing Celena's skin.
"Pathetic! Still crying out? As if that good-for-nothing husband of yours could do anything. Girls, give her a good beating. This one's clearly got a death wish!"
Another woman pinned Celena down as Samara wiped her nails with a look of revulsion and sneered.
"Never thought you'd see the day, huh? Ms. High-and-Mighty brought low. So, what's it gonna be? You're gonna grovel and apologize?" Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
Fear gripped Celena. However, her spirit remained unbroken. She bit down hard, her voice barely above a whisper, "In your dreams. I won't bow. I won't apologize!" Then came the slap.
Samara delivered a stinging slap. with venom in her voice, she hissed, "Are you going to apologize or not?"
"Apologize? Never!"
Celena's eyes blazed with defiance and deep-seated loathing as she spat the words through clenched teeth.
Her defiance sent Samara over the edge, her eyes glinting with cruelty, not just at Celena's audacity but also from her own thwarted eagerness to shame her. Rage took over.
"Fine! You asked for it, Celena! You're nothing but scum! If you're going to be stubborn, then I won't hold back. Hey, strip her down and toss her out. Let's show everyone the once esteemed Ms. Stone of Drunham City in all her glory or lack thereof!"
Two women pinned Celena's arms without hesitation while Samara and Yanely lunged, tearing at her clothes, laughing.
"Stop! Get off me! Please, no... Samara, why? Weren't we friends? We grew up together! Why are you doing this to me? Why..."
Celena's cries were filled with anguish as she fought back in vain, the group's grip too strong, her efforts to escape useless.
Feeling utterly powerless, fear and dread washed over Celena.
With a cruel smirk, Samara taunted, "Why? Because you're the 'good friend' I grew up with, Celena! Get on with it, strip her, and throw her out. Let's give everyone a show and see what she's really made of!"
Celena's fight had drained away, leaving her to the mercy of her attackers as they ripped at her clothes. Her gaze was hollow, fixed on the ceiling, while tears poured down her face.
Crash!
Suddenly, the room's door flew off its hinges with such force it splintered into pieces!
