My Aloof Sisters Asked for My Forgiveness

Chapter 114

Chapter 114

The Fox family suffered a great, inhumane tragedy. Your entire family was killed. Your father was beheaded, and your mother took her own life to preserve her honor.

[My greatest regret was arriving too late at the scene. Otherwise, the Fox family wouldn’t have been destroyed..

[I was worried about you being dragged into this bloody fight, so I sent you to an orphanage. But someone managed to find you. That was why I had to keep you by my side. I treated you like my own son and taught you everything I knew.]

When he read this, Dustin clenched his fists so tightly that his nails dug into his flesh. His eyes were bloodshot with rage.

He always thought that he was a child who had been abandoned, but to think that he was actually tied to a blood feud was something else entirely!

Your father was beheaded, and your mother took her own life to preserve her honor.‘

These words repeated themselves in his thoughts. Rage burned within him.

His family had done nothing wrong. They possessed the signet ring, and other people went after them. They were killed brutally because of it!

“I swear on my life that I will avenge them!” Dustin said gravely.

He continued reading in hopes that he could figure out who his enemies were.

But even when he reached the end, Lucas did not reveal the names of those involved.

[Dustin, I’m not trying to keep this a secret from you, but your enemies are too strong. Even after my relentless efforts, I was unable to confront them. I was too weak.]

That was what Lucas wrote.

[The most formidable of them are beyond my reach. For the next ten years after my passing, you must not pursue them. After ten years, if you surpass me, you may proceed as you wish.]

Dustin finished reading the letter, and his face soured.

“Dad, I’ve never disobeyed you, but this time, I’m sorry for not listening to you,” he whispered.

His adoptive father had only been gone for three years. If he had to wait another seven years…

How could he possibly endure that? Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

He could not wait, and neither could the dead people of the Fox family.

No matter how strong his enemies were, he was not afraid of them!

Dustin looked at the emerald signet ring and took it.

Since this belonged to the Fox family, and Lucas asked him to have it, he would take it with him.

But this was not the only passage of the secret room. There was a path ahead.

Dustin could sense something dangerous up ahead, so he did not continue forward.

He did not know what was hidden inside.

Chapter 114

Lucas had warned him in the letter that he would be in danger, given his current strength, if he continued.

Dustin left the secret room with the signet ring.

When the Wyatt sisters saw that he had returned unscathed, they were in disbelief, and their faces turned sour.

“Dad said that the secret room was dangerous, and most people who went inside would end up dead. How did he do it?” Delia was disappointed.

Clara’s plan had fallen through, so she was in a bad mood.

But when they saw the signet ring in Dustin’s hands, their eyes were fixed on it.

“Dustin, that belongs to us! Why are you holding onto it? Hand it over!” Clara shouted.

“That’s right! You thief! You aren’t allowed to take it! It doesn’t belong to you!” Elisa shouted as well.

“Hand it over!” the four Wyatt sisters shouted aggressively.

“This belongs to the Fox family. It has always belonged to me,” Dustin said coolly. He could not be bothered to explain to them and wanted to leave this place.

“Dustin, you ungrateful b*stard! You’ve been lurking in the Wyatt family for years to steal our treasure, haven’t you?!” Amara blocked his path and demanded an answer.

The other three stepped forward to stop Dustin from leaving.

“Get out of my way!” Dustin snapped. He took a step forward, and it was as if a violent gust of wind stirred everything. The Wyatt sisters fell to the ground and could not stop him.

Dustin left without sparing them another glance.

The Wyatt sisters were livid.

“Dustin, you’ll regret this! We won’t make it easy for you to take what rightfully belongs to us!” Amara shouted.

“I swear on my life that you’ll be returning that signet ring to us in tears!” Clara hissed in hatred.
