Chapter 18 “I Don’t Want A Cold Shower…”
Blanca suddenly remembered that Alan had poured him quite a few glasses of wine. He must be a little drunk by now.
After all, Blanca was just a young girl and she thought alcohol would turn him on. She was worried that he might be seduced by Louise when they were left alone.
When Mr. Johnson walked by, Blanca stopped him and asked coyly, “Mr. Johnson, which room will Matthew and I use for tonight?”
Hearing that they were staying, Mr. Johnson said happily that Matthew had his own room on the east side of the second floor. He had already had their bedding prepared.
Blanca thanked him for his gestures. After Mr. Johnson left, she stood on the stairs and sent a text to Matthew.
“I’m in your bedroom. Come and meet me ASAP.”
Under the influence of alcohol, all Matthew could think about was the images of Blanca taking a bath in his bathtub that night. He felt the blood was rushing through his veins and he couldn’t contain himself anymore.
This text was like the rain in a draught.

As Matthew was about to leave, Louise grabbed his big and warm hand.
“Where are you going, Matthew? Blanca hasn’t come back with the tea set yet…”
“I’m a little dizzy. I want to lie in bed and have some rest for a while.”
Louise stood up and held his body, “Then I’ll go with you…”
Matthew was drunk but not stupid. He was disgusted by her frivolous behavior.
He pushed her away coldly and said, “Louise, you are a sister to me and you know it.”
Louise slumped to the couch and was intimidated by his sternness. She had never seen him like this before.
For the first time in her life, she doubted her mother’s decision. If she kept pushing, would he hate her for good? What should she do if that really happened?
But she thought Jim and Blanca must be fooling around by now. If they went upstairs, she would definitely get what she wanted.
Come to think of it, Louise lowered her head and apologized to Matthew.
Matthew didn’t take another look at her. He was stumbling a little because he was kind of drunk. He went upstairs and got into his own bedroom.
Just as he walked into the room, Blanca was relieved. She took him to the bathroom and said, “I just googled and I found out that you need to drink a lot of water to get the alcohol out of your system. If you feel too hot, just take a cold shower.”
Blanca took him under the shower.
Matthew stared at Blanca’s soft and slender neck and her cherry lips as his eyes narrowed. Suddenly, he pushed her against the wall and breathed out warm air to her face.
Up till this moment, she realized Matthew wasn’t the weak patient that she had thought he was. He was a fierce lion that could take her down within seconds.
Blanca pushed him away and warned him, “Matthew, what are you doing? Calm down!”
But he couldn’t hear anything anymore. He just said huskily, “I don’t want a cold shower, I want you…”
