Chapter 8
Chapter 8
Jessamyn's facial expression changed. She chose this jewelry design company to order a set of jewelry, but when she browsed the magazine, she was surprised to see that Vivianna was the chief designer.
Therefore, she immediately chose her as her designer. She had been eager to show off her current glorious position to Vivianna, and she wanted to see the angry look on Vivianna's face. However, what she saw after a few days was Vivianna's nonchalant expression.
How could she be willing to accept that?
"Vivianna, don't you want to talk to me about the past? How have you been?" Jessamyn asked.
"Mrs. Lambert, if you are just curious about my personal life, please go back now! If you want me to work for you, please make your request," she said.
Although Vivianna hated this woman so much that she wanted to kick her into hell, she could endure anything for her son.
Jessamyn looked at her from head to toe. Her face was ruddy and shiny, and she was wearing a gray suit. The suit was appropriate for this setting, and she looked capable in it. She felt unhappy, as to how could Vivianna be the chief designer?
She did have some talent in drawing and painting, but that was only a hobby. Unexpectedly, after four years, she had become this capable.
It really shouldn't be like this. Vivianna should be in a state of distress and helplessness. She should be living a miserable life.
Jessamyn saw that she did not want to talk about the past, so she stood up and said, "I'll give you three days to hand over a design draft that satisfies me. If you can't do this, don't blame me for not
caring about our old friendship. I'll complain to your boss that you're incompetent. I'll see how long you can stay in this position as chief designer." After that, she walked arrogantly to the door. When she reached the door, she turned her head and raised her eyebrows proudly. "Vivianna, this is my territory. It won't be easy for you if you continue to remain here."
Outside the window of the conference room, a pair of large obsidian-like eyes were staring at the scene inside. There was clearly a trace of anger in his eyes. D*mn, how dare this woman threaten and bully his mommy. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
Vivianna clenched her hands into fists again. Jessamyn's threat did provoke her, but she would
not let her win so easily.
She looked calm and fearless.
Vivianna didn't seem to be intimidated by her, and Jessamyn's expression became unpleasant. "Vivianna, I am very happy with Xenophilius now. I'm warning you, you are not allowed to appear in front of him. He feels disgusted when he sees you."
The corners of Vivianna's mouth lifted slightly. She turned and said, "I don't have time for that."
Jessamyn saw that she couldn't irritate her. She felt that this was strange. Did this woman lose her memories? Didn't she remember what happened four years ago?
She should be furious after being provoked!
"Goodbye, Mrs. Lambert." After saying that, Vivianna opened the door first and went out.
Vivianna didn't walk to her office, but to the bathroom.
Her eyes were sore, and her emotions were surging. She didn't want to face her son looking like this, so she had to collect herself before going out.
However, she did not know that Zephaniah was looking at her from behind with a pained expression. He clenched his little fists. "Mommy must be angry!" bethought to himself.
Jessamyn left, with several assistants seeing her
off.
Vivianna walked over from the bathroom and she noticed her son standing in the corridor all of a sudden. She was shocked and quickly smiled at him. "Zeph, why are you here? Didn't I ask you to go play with Miss Winslow?"
The little fellow looked at her with his large and bright eyes. Looking at her red eyes, he reached out and hugged her. "Mommy..."
"What's wrong?" she asked.
The little fellow shook his head and he was discouraged. He was still young. He couldn't protect his mommy from being bullied by bad guys. It would be great if his daddy was here.
"Mommy, if daddy was here, you won't have to work so hard," he said.
Vivianna was shocked. Why did the little fellow suddenly think of this?
"Mommy really likes this job! I don't think it's tough." Vivianna persuaded him with a smile.
However, the little fellow had overheard the conversation just now. The woman who was dressed well had bullied his mommy, and this angered him.
"But, but it would be great if daddy was here. He could be with you and protect you," he said.
