Then she looked defensively at Theresa and added, “That sick woman just wants to kidnap you. Luckily I found out. You’d better stay away from her.”
Theresa frowned as she watched Sarah slander her and make a fool of herself. Then she addressed to her son,
“Come on, Leonard. Mum’s here.”
Leonard was about to come over, but Sarah stopped him, not allowing him to go near Theresa. “Theresa, now you are kidnapping children. You are committing a crime. It’s only wise for you to release the child and let me take him back. Otherwise I’ll call the police and have you arrested.
In her opinion, Theresa had taken the children away on the sly. It was legitimate to charge her with kidnapping. However, Sarah would like to bring the children back herself-The reason why Theresa could stay with the Calsis family for so long was that children liked her. She believed that if she was popular with them, and took them back, Charlie would accept her.
Thinking of this, her heart was full of expectation. However, Theresa just replied coldly, “Call the police then.”
“Do you think I dare not?” Sarah said, picking up her mobile. But Theresa stood there seemingly unconcerned – it was a big joke to accuse her of kidnapping her own children.
Seeing no sign of panic on Theresa’s face, Sarah frowned. “Theresa, you’re really…”
“Go ahead. Why don’t you call?” “Theresa asked.
Sarah uttered, “Our dad is not in good health. I don’t want him worrying about you. Let the child go or I’ll tell
Charlie! If he comes, I’m sure you’ll be in trouble.
Theresa answered, “Go tell him then. Let’s see if he’ll respond.”
Sarah didn’t know Charlie was aware of that child’s location. It was ridiculous of Sarah to accuse her!
Sarah stared at Theresa. “Good, very good.” Then she lowered her head, looked at Leonard, and asked softly,
“Leonard, will you tell Auntie where your brother is? I’ll take you home. Do you want to see your father?”
Leonard, hearing Charlie’s name, replied coldly, “No!” His father was the last person he wished to see now.
At his response, Theresa demanded, “You can leave now. Don’t let me kick you out.”
Sarah countered, “Theresa, you’re being ungrateful; we’re a family. Do you want us to go down with you?”
“I will handle the matter by myself. Leave the family out of this! Dad didn’t question me. Who do you think you are?”
Sarah’s face was clouded with anger. Theresa added, “Don’t blame me for my rudeness if you insist on staying.” Sarah looked at Leonard, not wanting to give up, and picked him up. But Leonard choked on the smell of her perfume and protested. “Let me go!”
Sarah was about to take the child out. Theresa walked over quickly, knowing that Leonard did not like strangers carrying him. She grabbed Sarah’s hair.
“Where are you going?!”
