Love’s Final Reveal

Chapter 144

Dominick still remained unresponsive. His complexion was deathly pale, his lips were devoid of color, and he seemed utterly lifeless

Lola then started to panic. She put down the vegetable soup and reached out to feel his forehead.

As soon as she felt Dominick’s burning forehead, she was startled. “You are burning up! Dominick? Are you okay? Can you hear me? Dominick, please don’t scare me!”

Lola was in a full–blown panic and immediately deduced that Dominick’s wound must have been infected, and now he had a fever. She had never encountered this situation before and had no idea what to do.

She anxiously said. “Dominick, stop scaring me. Didn’t you say we’d get out of here together? What am I supposed to do if you

don’t make it?

“Dominick, I swear, if you die, our contract is over!”

Lola was genuinely terrified. Even now, she still couldn’t clearly define what sort of person Dominick was.

Dominick had saved her, but sometimes he could be very harsh.

However, as he was nearing death, Lola couldn’t bear to see it happen.

“You’re worried about me,” Dominick smiled slightly as he opened his eyes to look at Lola, appearing weak yet tender.

She was slightly taken aback. “Are you tricking me? You did it on purpose!”

Dominick was incredibly weak now, and his voice grew fainter as he replied, “No matter what, seeing you worry about me is worth it.”

Lola was furious, so she turned her back to him. “Dominick, can you not? I’m really not in the mood for jokes right now, especially in this kind of situation!”

Seeing that she was genuinely upset, Dominick lifted his hand helplessly. “Alright, it’s my fault. I won’t pass out.”

He hadn’t been trying to tease Lola earlier. Dominick had been so out of it that he almost didn’t regain consciousness. But when Dominick heard her worried voice, he forced himself to wake up no matter how hard it was.

Lola turned away, not wanting to deal with him, and she no longer heard his voice from behind.

After a long while, she felt that something wasn’t right.

“Hurry and eat. There’s only vegetable soup, make do with it. Lola spoke

ke coldly.

When there was no reply from behind her, she unwillingly turned and saw Dominick with his eyes closed.

Lola asked irritably. “Again? Can you stop using the same trick?” Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

She was already under great stress in this kind of situation, and if Dominick kept scaring her like this, she would really break down.

Lola asked. “Dominick, can you cut it out? We are in this kind of situation. Can you please stop scaring me? Is this funny to you?

Dominick, however, didn’t respond, and the bandage on his shoulder was stained red. Lola’s eyes widened slightly, and her anger vanished instantly.

She nervously said, “Please stop. You’re…you’re scaring me.

le sentence before his

Lola’s voice trembled at the end. Dominick had been so weak earlier, and he could barely get out a single words became almost inaudible

Guilt crept into her heart as she realized that Dominick might have already been struggling to hold on

Lola anxiously said. “TIL.. I’ll dress your wound Somebody! Please help us!”

She pounded on the door and shouted with all her might, “Bring us antiseptic! The hostage is dying! Do you think you can get. away with this?”

“Why are you shouting? Here it is! Stop shouting at mel” the young doorman yelled as he threw a box of medicine through the gap in the iron gate.

Lola picked up the box of medicine, confirmed everything was correct by reading the instructions, and sat at Dominick’s bedside with the medical kit.

She had no experience in treating wounds, and as she looked at the blood–stained bandage, she closed her eyes and took a Jeep breath

Once Lola was ready, she gently unwrapped Dominick’s bandage and revealed a deep wound on his arm.

She couldn’t help but gasp at the sight. Although Lola had seen the wound before, it was still frightening The wound was deep and hadn’t shown any signs of healing in two days, with raw pink flesh visible. Lola carefully applied the antiseptic to the wound and then gently wrapped it with a new bandage.

She thought. I don’t know if this will work. In Dominick’s condition, he should probably take some fever medicine too! Lola didn’t feel like eating, and there was only one howl of vegetable soup, which she wanted to save for Dominick. With a slight headache, she drifted off to sleep without realizing it.

Lola wasn’t sure how long she had slept, but she suddenly felt something drape over her.

She was sleeping restlessly, so she immediately woke up in fright after feeling that,

Lola looked up and saw Dominick staring at her.

“You’re awake? What time is it?” she asked, looking a bit confused and sounding weak.

“It’s only been two days, and you’ve already lost weight again Dominick’s eyes couldn’t hide his concern.

Lola observed his condition and noted that he seemed somewhat better. Ignoring what he said, she instinctively reached out to feel his forehead.

You don’t have a fever anymore. It looks like the medicine is working,” she said.

Lola breathed a sigh of relief and asked, “Does your arm still hurt?

“Also, since you’re weak, even though we don’t have anything good, you should still have this bowl of vegetable soup.

“I’m telling you. You can’t afford to be picky now. Hurry and drink the vegetable soup, or your body won’t hold up and the wound won’t heal

Surprisingly, Lola’s tone sounded somewhat like she was coaxing a child.

Detninick looked at the bowl of vegetable soup on the table and asked, “What about you? Aren’t you having any vegetable

soup

Laila pressed her lips together before replying. “1… I don’t like this vegetable soup. Hurry up and drink it. I need to rest later.” Dominick noticed there was only one bowl, indicating they only received one bowl of vegetable soup per meal.

“You eat,” he insisted firmly

Lola pressed her lips together again. “I don’t like vegetable soup. Hurry and drink it. You’re the one who’s sick. You need to beal If you die bene, Ell be stuck with a dead body, and that scares me

Dominick was surprised at how sharp lier tongue had become

He sighed, Tine”

The vegetable soup tasted terrible. It was flavorless, and the ingredients in it were awful.

But Dominick found today’s vegetable soup surprisingly sweet.

Afterward, he put down the bowl and looked at Lola. “Come here,”

She frowned slightly, “What are you up to again, Mr. Sinclair? Stop bothering me.”

Lola was exhausted as well, as she hadn’t eaten much or rested properly.

Dominick reached out, grabbed her wrist, and led her to the bedside.

He said, I’m done eating. It’s yours now.”

Lola immediately refused “I don’t want it. I can go without eating

“Do you want to eat it yourself, or should I feed you by mouth?” Dominick smirked, and his eyes gleamed mischievously. Lola felt like slapping him.

She narrowed her eyes and said, “How can you still have the mood to joke around at a time like this? You really aren’t afraid of dying, huh?

Dominick lay on the sofa and sighed contentedly, “Yeah, I’m not afraid of dying. Now that you’re worried about me, why should I be scared?”

Lola had never felt so exasperated and glared at him. “You’re unbelievable.”

Dominick urged, “Hurry up and eat. If you get weak or faint from hunger, I won’t take you with me when I escape.”

He intentionally said that because he knew it was the only way to get Lola to eat.
