“Uncle, where is he?! He said he was going to call. It’s already 10 PM, but there’s no news from him?”
Ghea looked annoyed. Irritated, she had been waiting for her husband to call since she finished dinner. Earlier, Randy had promised that once he got to the room or at least before going to bed, he would call as usual and share the activities of his day.
Actually, Ghea had been waiting since earlier, but there was no sign that he had contacted her or even sent a message.
“Should I call him first?” Ghea mumbled while looking at the phone screen. Running out of patience, Ghea decided to call first. However, it was in vain. Randy’s phone was clearly inactive. Whether intentionally turned off or genuinely out of battery.
“Goodness, where is Uncle? So annoying. He made the promise and now he forgot.”
Ghea folded her face, frowning. With frustration, she placed the phone she was holding on the nightstand. Feeling there was nothing more she could do, Ghea decided to go to sleep. If Randy suddenly contacted her later, so be it. She couldn’t be bothered to contact him anymore.
Ghea lay back down. Pulling the blanket, she quickly went to sleep. For a moment, she dozed off. Not long after, Ghea felt someone kissing her forehead and lips alternately. Slowly opening her eyes, Ghea found Randy smiling at her.
Ghea thought she might be dreaming. That’s why she just smiled and decided to go back to sleep.
However, just as she was about to doze off again, Ghea felt a clear shake in her body. Followed by gentle caresses that felt more and more real around her cheeks and neck.
“Darling… wake up.”
Ghea could clearly hear a voice in her ear that sounded very much like her husband’s. Trying to open her sticky eyes, Ghea slowly discovered the real figure of Randy smiling at her.
“Uncle?” Ghea greeted with half-closed eyes. “Is this real or am I dreaming?” she expressed innocently.
“You’re not dreaming, Ghe. I’m really back. I’m really in front of you, my love.”
Ghea, who was still feeling drowsy, immediately opened her eyes. Believing that her husband was indeed in front of her, she then got up from bed. Approaching, and without hesitation, she rushed into his arms.
“I missed you,” Ghea said without any embarrassment. Her hands reached out to tightly embrace Randy’s body, reflecting the longing that had filled her heart and mind for the past few days.
Meanwhile, Randy happily returned the embrace. He, too, didn’t waste a moment to express what he was feeling in return for the heavy longing he had experienced.
“I missed you too, Ghe. That’s why I decided to come back tonight.”
“Really?” Ghea asked, loosening the hug slightly. She tilted her head a bit, then looked at Randy as if confirming. “But Uncle’s work there is done, right?”
Randy nodded.
“Yes, dear. Don’t worry. Everything’s settled, and that’s why I dared to come back tonight to see you as soon as possible.”
Ghea then smiled widely, feeling honored by the surprise Randy had given her. She had forgotten that earlier she was so upset because her husband was difficult to reach. And it turned out, it wasn’t because he broke his promise, but because he was busy on the journey home to meet her as soon as possible.
“So, has Uncle eaten?”
Randy nodded once again.
“Yeah, dear. I had dinner on the plane. Only one thing left.”
Ghea’s brow immediately furrowed.
“What’s left?”
“Your meal,” the man replied while planting a kiss on Ghea’s cheek.
“Oh, come on! Well, hurry up and change, because Uncle is home. As I mentioned on the phone earlier, I want to tell you something.”
Randy then smiled thinly.
“All right, wait a moment. I’ll change, and then I’ll listen to your story.”
A moment later, Randy hurried to the bathroom. Cleaning up once again, he changed into sleepwear before finally approaching Ghea, who was faithfully waiting for him on the bed.
Crawling up, Randy joined her under the blanket. He reached for Ghea, asking her to enter his embrace.
“So, what do you want to tell me?” Randy asked, then briefly kissed the top of Ghea’s head while gently stroking her arms.
“This evening, I met Rio, dear,” Ghea said without any hesitation.
“Rio? Your ex-boyfriend who used to be so cheesy?”
Ghea laughed. Why did her husband have to mock Rio, calling him all kinds of cheesy names?
“Cheesy?”
Randy nodded.
“Yeah, isn’t he cheesy? Pretending to be a playboy too. But his appearance is like a rice cake. Probably only saved by his money. That’s why many girls are into him.”
“Why are you bullying Rio now?”
“Well, I’m just speaking the truth, dear. Why? Can’t you stand it when I mock your beloved ex?”
Ghea immediately pouted. She pinched Randy’s waist hard right at that moment.
“Just stop it. Alright… alright, let me continue the story. This afternoon, after Joshua and Denisa went home, I accidentally met Rio at the cafe. He approached me. Then he bothered me, you know.”
“Oh really?”
Ghea nodded repeatedly.
“Yes. Forcing me to sit with him. Then blabbering about irrelevant things from our past when we were still dating.”
Randy squinted his eyes. A hint of jealousy showed in his gaze.
“He probably wants to reminisce with you. That’s why he keeps trying to flirt.”
Ghea shrugged while looking at Randy.
“Annoying. But, who knows, maybe he was just talking nonsense. Discussing irrelevant things and blaming me for the past, saying I didn’t want to sleep with him. That’s why he cheated and broke up with me. How rude! He cheats, but I’m the one who gets dumped. Rio is such a jerk.”
Instead of feeling sorry, Randy laughed. His laughter made Ghea even more annoyed. After all, she was seeking support at the moment.
“Why are you laughing!”
“Well, it’s just funny,” Randy replied, still smiling. “So, when you were dating him, did he ever invite you to sleep together?”
Ghea nodded again. Whatever happened with Rio in the past, she would tell Randy if her husband wanted to know.
“Yes, dear. But I refused right away. As if he could ask for sleeping together as a birthday present. It’s not worth it. He lost big, and I gained a lot.”
Once again, Randy laughed heartily.
“Are you sure you didn’t accept his invitation back then?” Randy squinted his eyes, deliberately teasing Ghea who had just finished her story.
“Sure, dear. Besides, Uncle was the one who opened my seal first. How could that happen! Don’t be ridiculous!”
Laughter resonated again from Randy’s lips. He enjoyed teasing Ghea, making her lips pout as they were now.
“Okay, let it be. But if in the future you meet him again, and your ex causes trouble again, just let me know. I’ll give him a lesson. How dare he disturb my wife.”NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.
“Yes, my dear husband. Got it. So, how about Uncle in Singapore? Is everything going smoothly?”
Randy glanced up for a moment. Then, shortly after, he lowered his gaze again while smiling at Ghea.
“Thankfully, all the work went smoothly without any issues. That’s why I could come home early tonight. But…”
“But what?” Ghea asked immediately, successfully making Randy curious. “Don’t speak in half, ah! Just making me curious!”
Randy didn’t answer right away. Instead, he stared at Ghea deeply for a moment. As if convincing himself, he slowly spoke again.
“After I finished talking to you on the phone and got to my room, suddenly Gista was there in my room.”
“Uncle’s hotel room?”
Randy nodded slowly.
“Yes.”
“I already guessed it. This ghost must be looking for an opportunity to disturb. So, what was she doing in Uncle’s room? Want to keep Uncle company in sleep?”
Randy shrugged.
“I don’t know either. I was even surprised and confused at first, wondering how she could suddenly enter my room when it was locked. I politely asked her to leave, but she insisted on staying.”
“So, the ghost didn’t want to leave? I guess she tried to tempt Uncle in various ways, right?”
“Yes,” Randy replied with a nod. “Please don’t get angry. Instead of hearing it from others, it’s better you hear it from me, even though it’s bitter. Just so you know, Gista even intentionally exposed herself in front of me, with the aim of tempting me.”
“Oh my God, crazy!!!”
Ghea exclaimed in disbelief with what she just heard. She certainly couldn’t imagine what Randy had just conveyed. Her emotions were immediately ignited at that moment.
“Uncle is lucky to get a nice view. Especially, the ex-lover naked right in front of you,” Ghea teased, full of jealousy. Her face, which was relaxed earlier, now slowly mixed with emotions.
“Not like that, Ghea. I swear to God, I wasn’t tempted at all. Just so you know, I even intentionally dragged her out of the room. I swear, I didn’t take advantage of this moment at all. I’m not a scumbag guy.”
Ghea then threw a scrutinizing look at Randy. Trying to delve into the pitch-black eyes of her husband to find any trace of lies. And she didn’t find any. Ghea’s inner self told her that Randy was not lying about what he was telling.
“I won’t forgive Uncle if you dare to touch her even just a bit. I swear, Uncle will regret it if you betray me.”
“No, Ghe,” Randy shook his head, reassuring his wife in his embrace. “Even though what I’m telling sounds naive, I swear I didn’t do anything with Gista. I promised you, right? Besides, I’m not the type of guy who appears on TV and gets flirted with by an ex in the room, then gets tempted. Next thing you know, she claims she’s pregnant with my child and complains to you. Or someone takes a photo of us and sends it to you to make us fight and get divorced. Please, my life is not that dramatic.”
Ghea initially remained silent. She actually wanted to laugh. After a short while, she nodded.
“Okay, I believe you.”
Randy then breathed a sigh of relief. At least, he had shared the unpleasant incident he experienced today. As he said before, rather than Ghea hearing this story from others with undoubtedly exaggerated versions, it’s better for his wife to hear it from him first.
“So, is there anything else Uncle wants to share?”
Randy shook his head, then responded.
“No, dear. I’ve told you everything. I haven’t hidden anything or intentionally kept anything from you.”
“Yes, so far, I believe you. Hopefully, Uncle can continue to maintain my trust.”
Randy smiled. He held Ghea’s body tightly in his embrace. After a lingering kiss for a few moments, he finally loosened, teasingly whispering to her.
“So, how about it? Can we have some fun now?”
