Chapter 825 Lawrence's Revenge (Part One)
Chapter 825 Lawrence's Revenge (Part One)
Derek was chatting with Fred when suddenly he heard Mond's voice. "Here they come, a warm
welcome to Mr. and Mrs. Yuwen."
Both Derek and Fred turned to glance at Wilson and Selina. Although already nervous, Sharon also
looked towards Selina for some sort of assurance.
Selina, also looked towards Sharon at the same time, then moved her gaze to Derek and said, "Derek,
you have come early, why, I thought you got your hands full."
"I haven't come early, my dear. Rather, it is you who has come late," Derek said and laughed at her
remark.
Mond shook hands with Wilson and Fred and said, "Hello, I also feel that you people have come early!"
"We just arrived as you instructed, only following the orders that you have given," Fred smiled.
Selina then again turned to look towards Sharon.
Sharon smiled at Selina but there seemed to be some kind of hesitation in her smile. "How do you do?
Mrs. Selina."
"I'm always doing well," Selina replied in an angry tone. It was quite evident that she was upset over
something but no one knew what that was.
Wilson, who knew where her wife's anger generated from, touched her arm and whispered in her ear,
"No matter what has happened, do not forget that she is one of our guests. Please be nice to her, you
don't have to behave so badly with her."
Selina ignored what her husband just said to her and glared back at Sharon. "Mrs. Sharon, you must
be enjoying your life at home, aren't you? Now that both your husband and son were hard working to
earn money, you must be relaxing in peace."
"Well, yes you might be partly right." Not able to find a suitable answer to Selina's question, Sharon just
chose to smile back at her.
Selina, whose eyes were filled hatred, thought, 'If the party was not going on, I would have surely taken
Violet's revenge from this miserable woman right here, and no one would have stopped me from doing
so!'
Derek noticed his younger sister was not in a very good mood at that time so to avoid the situation from
worsening he said, "Selina, Amy was looking for you and now none of us know where she has gone.
Could you please go and bring her here so that we all can discuss business?"
Selina had by now understood her elder brother's hint. She quickly turned around and left from the
place.
All the people at such parties had a life of their own and that showed when they came together. While
the ladies from the nobility were only bothered about showing off their dresses and jewelry the men
discussed business. The whole event was spent talking about things which mattered to each one of
them.
Lawrence was standing in the balcony of the second-floor room. He looked at the circle of people
scattering in the garden downstairs. The atmosphere of this place was so depressing, he just did not
want to be here!
"Why are you still here, you should have gone downstairs long back? The party is just about to begin."
Mike walked in a hurry towards him. He hadn't expected to find Lawrence here. According to him,
Lawrence should have gone downstairs by now.
Mike, came and stood beside Lawrence, as he also looked down. They were on the second floor, and
he could see everyone clearly.
"No wonder you are standing here. You are trying to observe who are coming for the party and who are
not, am I right?" Mike joked around with Lawrence, it looked as if he himself was not in a hurry to go
down.
"That's boring and I won't go there at any cost," Lawrence said and then looked at Mike asking, "Is my
assistant here?"
"Well, I have seen many people on the first floor. She's likely to be amongst them," Mike said. Since he
had been in a hurry, he hadn't noticed if Lawrence assistant was there or not
"She's here, too," Lawrence said, his eyes stuck on Sharon who was standing there and was quite
visible from there.
Sharon, who was standing in the center with all the ladies, was talking about something that Lawrence
couldn't hear clearly, but he was quite sure that she must be trying to show off.
"What do you want to do? You know, Greg too will be coming here." The very moment Mike finished
saying that, he saw Greg, Tim, and Alice walking alongside the swimming pool.
"What about him? Do you think he can change my mind? I know what he has done with my little sister.
Can I forgive him ever?" asked Lawrence.
Mike, at first looked lost for words, then he gazed at Lawrence's face for a few seconds before saying.
"Lawrence, you know, if you and Greg are on bad terms, then Violet may have to suffer the most. After
all, you know very well, she loves Greg."
Lawrence, who was listening, knew that he had to pay heed to Mike's words in his mind. Violet was his
only sister and he must take care of her feelings.
Sharon, standing amidst three ladies, shared her happiness.
"It never came to my mind that the JS Group would send an invitation to our family. I bet you can't
imagine how shocked I was when I got the invitation. I couldn't believe my eyes! it's from the JS
Group!" Sharon looked excited. She hadn't had a better chance to brag about anything and so she
decided to use the invitation as a tool to make others envious.
"Really? Is it because of your husband and Jackson's friendship?"
"I also heard that your husband is quite close to both the Chu and the Lu family. That's why they have
invited you, isn't it?"
"Well, they haven't exclusively invited me to their parties, but this time, my name was on the list of their
invitation card! All three of us, my husband, me and my son were invited!" Sharon said proudly. Violet
was a nobody for her now and she was thinking to find another wife for her son by reaching out to
these ladies.
"Oh, now I get it. Your invitation card is different from mine. The card my family received was with only Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
my husband's name. I came with him because he wants me to accompany him to all his parties."
"Yes, our cards are the same. There is only my husband's name on the invitation card."
"You noticed the difference, didn't you? The JS Group has invited me exclusively!" Sharon, looked so
happy that her laughter could not be controlled. In her great excitement she did not realize that the
party would begin in five minutes.
