I Died 13
Chapter 13 The End
Chapter 13 The End
After being discharged from the pack’s infirmary, Logan began his journey toward redemption. Determined to make amends, he approached the healers with a genuine humility that was a stark contrast to his earlier breakdown. He moved through the pack’s grounds, stopping to speak with each healer.
“I’m sorry for what happened,” he said softly, looking at each one in the eye. “I hope I didn’t hurt any of you.” Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.
The healers, still wary but seeing sincerity in Logan’s eyes, nodded in
acknowledgment. His calm demeanor was worlds apart from the frenzied Alpha who had lashed out not long ago.
As Logan sought forgiveness, my parents were far away in the Moon Shadow Pack, where they had returned after coming to the Crimson Crescent Pack to lay me to rest. They had decided to keep my final resting place a secret from Logan, hoping to protect my memory from further turmoil. They believed that keeping him in the dark would give me peace.
“I’m sorry…” Logan mused to himself one night, pacing in his room. “But I have to know. I need to see her one last time.”
Driven by his desperation and the power that came with being an Alpha, Logan set his mind on uncovering the truth. He tapped into the resources at his disposal, calling on his connections and using his influence. Each lead he followed brought him closer to the cemetery where I was buried.
Days turned into weeks, and finally, Logan stood before the gates of the small, hidden cemetery. His heart pounded in his chest as he pushed the creaky gate open, the sound echoing in the stillness. The graves were quiet, shadows stretching across the ground as the sun dipped low in the sky.
Logan walked slowly, his eyes scanning the headstones until he found my name. etched into the stone. He dropped to his knees, his hands trembling as he reached out to touch the cold marble.
“I found you,” he whispered, tears filling his eyes. “I’m so sorry… for everything.” As he knelt there, the weight of his grief finally hit him. The reality of my absence was undeniable, and he felt the crushing emptiness of knowing he could never make things right. The wind rustled the leaves around him, a soft, mournful sound that seemed to carry his words into the quiet evening.
He adorned my grave with fresh flowers, tenderly cleaned the blood–stained ring, and placed it reverently before the tombstone.
Gazing at the ring on his finger, Logan whispered softly to me, “My dear Luna, this ring symbolizes our bond, inseparable like we were.” With those heartfelt words, he drank an overdose of wolfsbane and collapsed beside my grave, his body trembling
uncontrollably.
