Chapter 1070: Can't Let Her Feel Wronged

Sandy loved hearing Brandon's comforting words the most.

So, in an exceptionally good mood, she chatted with Brandon late into the night before finally curling up

in his arms to sleep.

After dawn, Nelson greeted Aunt Bruton and then left the Hawkins family.

"Ah Chu, do you think Nelson didn't take a liking to Sandy's sister?" Aunt Bruton glanced at Nelson's

departing figure and turned to Maya, speaking in a hushed tone.

Maya was also curious, but she couldn't openly discuss such matters in front of Aunt Bruton. She

replied softly, "They had a good chat yesterday. I'll ask later when it's more appropriate."

Aunt Bruton nodded. "If there really aren't any feelings, there's no need to force it. After all, they'll be

spending their lives together."

Maya concurred, "I understand. You don't need to worry."

Aunt Bruton turned to Maya and asked, "By the way, have you checked on that girl from the Longman

family? Is she feeling better?"

Brandon truthfully recounted the situation to Aunt Bruton. "There's no major harm done. We've clarified

things."

Aunt Bruton was relieved after hearing Brandon's explanation. "That's good. After all, they've grown up

together. It wouldn't be good if things got too ugly."

"I know, you don't need to worry."

Mother and son chatted for a while before the conversation shifted to Brandon and Sandy's wedding

plans.

"I talked to Aunt Sandy. We'll stick to the original date. You should get everything you need ready early.

Your big brother and I will handle the rest. While Sandy's not showing yet, let's get everything done. We

can't make her feel neglected. After all, pregnant women tend to be more sensitive," Aunt Bruton

considered every detail, covering all bases.

Brandon listened quietly, offering occasional nods.

"Uncle Brandon!"

Just as they were chatting, Lucas came running over, pouncing onto Brandon. "Where's Aunt Sandy? Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

Hasn't she woken up yet?"

Brandon caught him, replying, "Aunt Sandy is still sleeping."

"Why hasn't Aunt Sandy woken up yet? I wanted to talk to her yesterday, but Mom said you and Aunt

Sandy were busy," Lucas said.

Brandon looked at Lucas and asked in a hushed tone, "What did you want to talk to Aunt Sandy

about?"

"It's a secret. I can't tell you, but I can tell Aunt Sandy," Lucas replied.

Brandon couldn't help but smile wryly. "How about you wait until you come back from school? Aunt

Sandy stayed up quite late last night. Let her sleep a bit longer."

Lucas hesitated. "But I want to tell Aunt Sandy a secret."

Brandon thought for a moment. "How about this? I'll go upstairs and check. If she's awake, I'll call you

up. Is that okay?"

Lucas nodded quickly. "Uncle Brandon, go quickly. I'll be waiting at the door."

With Lucas and Sandy urging him on, Brandon reluctantly turned and headed upstairs.

Upon entering the room, Sandy was sprawled on the bed, one arm dangling over the edge, and her

legs askew. The blanket had slipped onto the floor.

Brandon approached, picking up the fallen blanket and gently covering Sandy. He whispered, "Sandy?"

Though Sandy didn't reply, she reached out and grabbed Brandon's waist, muttering, "Give me five

more minutes."

"Lucas wants to tell you a secret. Do you want to hear it?" Brandon asked.

After a three-second pause, Sandy sat up abruptly, her legs dangling from the bed. "Now?"

Brandon nodded. "He's waiting by the door."

Sandy glanced at the door, then quickly got out of bed. "Let me wash my face and freshen up."

Sandy disappeared into the bathroom, re-emerging after a short while. She changed her clothes and

turned to Brandon, asking, "How do I look?"

Brandon stood up and brushed Sandy's hair behind her ear, gazing at her expectant expression. He

lowered his head and kissed her forehead. "You look great."

"Okay, I'll go find Lucas."

Sandy pushed past Brandon and headed for the door.

Lucas, standing obediently against the wall, turned to look at the sound of the door opening. He saw

Sandy and immediately smiled. "Aunt Sandy, good morning!"

Sandy smiled back. "Good morning."

Lucas raised his hand to Sandy and whispered, "Aunt Sandy, can you ask Uncle Brandon to step

away? I have a secret to tell you."

Sandy glanced at the room and nodded. "Sure."

She then called for Brandon.

Brandon stepped out, puzzled. "What's going on?"

"You go downstairs. Lucas and I need to talk privately. You can't listen," Sandy said.

After hearing Sandy's words, Brandon glanced at Lucas before nodding. As he left, he offered Lucas a

final reminder. "Don't take too long. You still have to go to school later."

Lucas nodded. "I know, Uncle Brandon. Hurry downstairs."

Feeling pressured by both Lucas and Sandy, Brandon turned and headed downstairs.

Once Brandon had left, Sandy closed the door and turned to Lucas. "Lucas, what's the secret you

wanted to tell me?"

Lucas gestured for Sandy to lean down.

Sandy crouched down. "Go ahead."

Lucas leaned in close, whispering in Sandy's ear, "Aunt Sandy, there are several boys in our class who

like you. They've even written love letters for you, asking me to give them to you. I've done my

research, and their families are well-off. Their parents are understanding, so you won't be mistreated in

the future."

Upon hearing Lucas's words, Sandy struggled to contain her laughter. "But I already have your Uncle

Brandon."

Lucas fell silent for a few seconds. "People say men become less desirable as they age. The boys in

our class are all young, fresh-faced, and they can change their appearances. You can make them look

however you want. Uncle Brandon's appearance is already fixed."

Sandy wanted to burst into laughter at Lucas's serious expression, but seeing his earnestness, she

held back. "But wouldn't that be a little inappropriate? Besides, if I choose one of the boys in your class,

then your Uncle Brandon won't have anyone."
