After Yanis finished speaking, Sandy turned and sat on a nearby companion bed, letting out a long sigh
of relief. However, her gaze never left Stella's face.
At that moment, Meggie completed the paperwork and entered the room, "The formalities are done.
The doctor said they need to observe her condition. If everything is fine, she can go home tomorrow
morning."
Yanis looked at Meggie, "Are there any other issues?"
Meggie shook her head, "Nothing else. She hasn't been eating properly these past two days, and her
emotional state has been unstable, which might have caused her to faint."
Yanis nodded, "Alright, I'll have Wendy bring some food over. When she wakes up, she can have a little
something to eat."
Meggie agreed and placed the medical records on the side. Then, she looked at Sandy, who was
sitting on the bed, "Sandy, are you feeling alright?"
Hearing Meggie's question, Yanis turned to look at Sandy, concerned. Sandy's complexion didn't look ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
too good. "I'll go to the restroom," Sandy said.
As Sandy spoke, she quickly walked into the restroom.
Worried, Yanis followed and stood by the bathroom door, "Sandy?"
Sandy didn't respond immediately. After a few seconds, she suddenly called out in panic, "Yanis!"
Hearing Sandy's voice, Yanis pushed open the restroom door without hesitation, "What's wrong?"
Sandy's face was pale as she looked at Yanis, "I... I think I'm bleeding."
Upon hearing Sandy's words, Yanis's expression also changed instantly. She turned and called out to
Meggie, who was standing outside the ward, "Miss Yanis, get the doctor. Sandy is bleeding."
Meggie responded quickly, "Okay."
Yanis gently supported Sandy and said, "Come out first."
Carefully, Yanis helped Sandy out and let her lie down on the companion bed.
Soon, Meggie brought the doctor over.
Sandy was quickly taken into the examination room.
Yanis anxiously stood at the door, watching the doctor examining Sandy.
She hesitated whether or not to tell Brandon about this.
Just then, Yanis's phone rang. It was Zane calling.
Yanis answered, "Zane?"
"Where are you?" Zane hadn't seen Yanis when he returned. Sophia said that Yanis had gone out for
something.
Zane had wanted to call Yanis right away, but when he remembered Yanis's question before he left, he
decided not to call her immediately.
He waited for half an hour before finally giving in and calling Yanis.
"We're at the hospital. Stella fainted, and Sandy is having some issues too," Yanis didn't keep anything
from Zane and told him the truth.
Zane had thought that Yanis left because of the pregnancy issue, but after hearing Yanis's explanation,
he didn't say much. He asked in a low voice, "I'm coming over now."
Brandon wasn't in Manches City, and before leaving, Yanis had also called him. If something serious
happened to Sandy, she couldn't leave Brandon in the dark.
Yanis didn't refuse and told Zane the floor and department.
After hanging up the phone, Sandy's examination had just finished.
"I'll prescribe some medicine for you to prevent miscarriage and give you an injection as well. Try not to
engage in strenuous activities during this period and rest as much as possible," the doctor said to
Sandy, looking at the examination report and giving her some advice.
Sandy nodded, "Okay, thank you, doctor."
After the doctor left, Yanis approached and helped Sandy up, "Let me take you back to Stella's room
first, and then I'll get your medicine."
Meggie interjected at the right moment, "I'll get the medicine. You take Sandy to get the injection.
There's still one more injection to go, right?"
Yanis nodded, "Alright, I'll take Sandy to the injection area and wait for you there."
Meggie acknowledged and went to get the medicine.
"Sandy, don't tell Brandon about this. He's already dealing with a lot of things, and I don't want him to
worry," Sandy said softly.
Yanis responded, "You just focus on taking care of yourself. Everything will be fine."
Sandy was actually quite scared. If something happened to the baby, she didn't know how to tell
Brandon.
As Yanis led Sandy to the injection area, Zane's call came in.
Yanis answered, "We're on the first floor, the innermost part, the injection department."
On the other end of the line, Zane replied, "I'm on my way."
Yanis said, "Okay," and hung up.
Sandy asked, "Has Mr. Lawrence arrived?"
Yanis nodded, "Mr. Hawkins called him when he left."
Sandy thought about Brandon's situation, "Yanis, can Mr. Lawrence help with Brandon's matter?"
Yanis looked at Sandy and said softly, "The police will first investigate the truth of the matter. Once the
police clarify everything, the rest will be easier to resolve. If there is indeed something wrong, Zane
won't just sit idly by, given his relationship with Brandon."
If something really went wrong with Brandon, Zane wouldn't just stand by and do nothing, especially
considering their relationship.
Just as Sandy was about to say something, her phone rang. It was Jones calling.
Sandy glanced at the caller ID and answered the call directly, "Jones?"
"Sandy, have you seen the online news?" Jones's voice came from the other end of the phone after the
call connected.
Sandy was visibly stunned, "What news?"
Jones hesitated and then said, "You haven't seen it?"
Sandy asked again, "What news?"
Jones then proceeded to tell Sandy everything truthfully.
Sandy remained silent for a long time after hearing Jones's words.
It wasn't that she didn't believe Brandon, but for a moment, she didn't know what to say.
Jones continued, "You just announced the pregnancy and engagement not long ago, and now such
news is spreading..."
"Jones."
Before Jones could finish his words, Sandy interrupted him, "I trust him."
Jones's words were stuck in his mouth, "Alright, since you trust him, I won't say much. I just wanted to
let you know so you can be prepared."
Sandy replied, "I understand."
After Sandy hung up the phone, Brandon's call came in.
Sandy looked at the caller ID on the screen for a long time before answering the call calmly, "Brandon,
what's going on?"
After hearing Sandy's voice, Brandon couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. He then spoke in a low
voice, "Sandy, there's something I want to talk to you about."
