Wedding
The long-awaited special day for Darian had finally arrived. Dressed in a silver suit, a white shirt, and a black (traditional cap) perched affectionately on his brown hair, Darian looked stunning. His sweet smile seemed to radiate endlessly, filling the pastel-themed yet glamorous and elegant ballroom of the hotel.
The wedding of the top figure in Putra Corporation was going to be the grandest event held throughout the year. Every preparation was meticulously taken care of by a renowned Indonesian wedding organizer, in accordance with Darian’s desired concept. Pastel colors dominated the decoration, as they were Fahira’s favorite. Darian deliberately kept the concept of the wedding a secret, knowing that Fahira would reject an extravagant celebration. He wanted to make this special day, which only happened once in a lifetime, more memorable.
There was no doubt about how Darian’s heart raced when the MC began to greet the invited guests. He stood, anxiously waiting, and glanced at the beautifully decorated stairs. Not long after, the woman who had stolen his heart stood at the top of the stairs, accompanied by Yasmin and Ariel. Darian was captivated by the sight of Fahira descending the stairs gracefully in her long flowing white gown, adorned with colorful rose petals sprinkled along her path.
“Please, the groom may take his seat as the solemnization ceremony is about to begin.” The MC’s voice failed to bring Darian back to reality. He was still fixated on Fahira, who now stood not far from him. Darian seemed enchanted by Fahira’s perfect beauty. The simple woman had transformed into an ethereal being, as if she were a celestial being sent from heaven to accompany him for the rest of his life.
“Darian, the officiant has been waiting for you!” Gavin whispered, nudging Darian’s arm. Not only Darian was mesmerized by Fahira’s beauty, but Gavin, who had been with Darian all this time, was also almost lost in admiration for the bride if it weren’t for his logical mind kicking in.
“Darian!” Gavin repeated more urgently into Darian’s ear. This time, Darian snapped out of his trance and coughed while forcing a stiff smile as he realized that all eyes were on him.
Darian took a deep breath to make sure his suit was in order, then promptly took his seat across from the officiant. He glanced briefly at the woman sitting beside him. She chose to keep her head lowered, her hands clasped tightly in her lap.
“In the name of god,” Darian whispered as he prepared to receive the officiant’s extended hand, which was already in front of him.
“I hereby solemnize the marriage between Brother Darian Mahesa Putra, son of Rusdianto Mahesa Putra (deceased), and Sister Fahira Ramadhani, daughter of Pramudya Abdullah (deceased), with a dowry consisting of a set of prayer equipment and the sum of IDR 27, 422, 000. 00, paid in cash.”
“I accept the marriage and the dowry for Sister Fahira Ramadhani, which is paid in cash!” Darian confidently and clearly pronounced the sacred vows.
Valid.
Valid.
The echoes of “Valid” resounded throughout the ballroom hotel.
After the solemn and dignified recitation of the prayer, Darian was invited to put the wedding ring on Fahira’s ring finger. He looked at her, still with her head bowed, and gently held her hand. Slowly, Fahira lifted her face, tears rolling down her cheeks, as Darian placed the diamond ring on her ring finger. With trembling and sweaty hands, Fahira then placed the ring on Darian’s finger, sealing their love in an official bond.
“I love you, Fahira,” Darian whispered, kissing her forehead as he recited a prayer.
Yasmin and Ariel, who had witnessed the details of Darian and Fahira’s wedding ceremony, couldn’t hide their emotions. Happiness and sadness intertwined as one. With tears streaming down her face, Yasmin hugged Ariel, who was desperately trying to hold back her tears. Ariel couldn’t help but imagine how perfect the occasion would have been if their parents were also present. Fahira’s happiness would have been complete.
After the solemnization ceremony, Gavin distanced himself from everyone. His heart shattered into pieces, witnessing the woman he loved standing beside his own cousin. He thought he had made peace with his feelings by constantly reminding himself to be sincere and let go of Fahira. But the truth was different. Gavin’s heart was in so much pain that he felt suffocated.
The wedding reception followed the ceremony. This time, the ballroom was filled with more guests compared to the intimate gathering during the solemnization. Darian and Yasmin’s business associates, company executives, and other employees were in attendance.
Although Fahira’s guest list was smaller, it didn’t diminish her happiness. She was grateful that her uncle and two cousins from Surabaya attended the wedding after the significant incident that happened between them some time ago. Fahira was overjoyed to see Bisma, Arya, and Arini sincerely praying for her and Darian’s marriage. In fact, Uncle Bisma acted as the officiant, replacing her late father. Furthermore, her best friends, Mira, Susi, and Ray, were there to cheer her on, teasing her relentlessly whenever Darian wasn’t around.
“Gosh, Fahira, you look stunning!” praised Mira, mesmerized by Fahira’s appearance.
“You’re so amazing for snagging a wealthy guy like Boss Darian! Teach me how to attract rich men!” added Mira, amazed by the super luxurious decorations that were pleasing to her eyes. On the other hand, Susi was stunned by the presence of the affluent guests.
“Mir, let’s charm them! Who knows, one of them might fall for us!” Susi chimed in, looking at the handsome and wealthy men attending the event.
“Fahira, I want you to introduce me to your boss’s single brother!” interrupted Susi.
“Me too!” added Mira, not wanting to be left out. Meanwhile, Fahira chose to laugh at her friends’ absurd comments.
“The key is simple!” Fahira whispered, capturing Mira and Susi’s full attention as they eagerly waited for her to continue.
“Love!” Fahira declared, instantly eliciting sarcastic laughter from Susi and Mira.
Before Susi and Mira could respond, Darian was seen approaching them. “Sorry to interrupt, may I borrow my wife for a moment?” Darian politely addressed his two employees. Without hesitation, Darian wrapped his arm possessively around Fahira’s slim waist and led her towards the other guests.Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
Susi and Mira were still frozen in place as Darian and Fahira left. “Sus, pinch my hand!” Mira reached out her hand to Susi, still looking at the newlyweds. “I think we’re going crazy, Mir! There’s no way the boss would smile so sweetly at us like that,” Susi replied, pinching Mira’s arm hard, causing her to cry out in pain.
“Why are you two still standing here?” Ray’s voice suddenly sneaked into their ears, making both of them tense up. Without paying attention to Ray’s pained expression, the two women hit his shoulder hard. Ignoring his cry of pain, they walked over to the buffet table that offered various mouth-watering dishes.

After the reception ended, the entire Darian and Fahira’s families occupied the hotel rooms that had been prepared for them. Fahira, feeling exhausted from standing all day in high heels, chose to rest first.
Darian lay down on the bed after taking off his tie and jacket. His back felt sore, while Fahira was still removing her makeup. Fortunately, Fahira had chosen a simple makeup and accessories for her wedding, so she didn’t need to ask for help from anyone to take it off. However, there was one important thing that Fahira forgot. She couldn’t possibly take off her wedding dress by herself. Darian, who had been observing Fahira, couldn’t help but suppress a chuckle. He deliberately wanted his new wife to ask for his help. He knew Fahira well and understood that she wouldn’t ask for help from anyone as long as she could handle it herself.
Fahira looked at Darian, who was pretending to be busy with his phone. Honestly, Fahira felt embarrassed to ask Darian for help in unfastening her wedding dress. Especially since the dress was perfectly tailored to her body and, of course, she wasn’t wearing a bra underneath. She looked at herself in the mirror again and tied her hair neatly. Then, with both hands, she tried to reach the small buttons that lined along her back. “Impossible,” Fahira exclaimed in frustration as she could only reach a few buttons at the top.
“Why did I choose this design?” Fahira’s irritation peaked. After all, she herself chose a gown with a transparent back adorned with buttons.
“Do you need help?” Darian teased as he stood up from his comfortable position. Reluctantly, Fahira nodded. Her heart started racing as Darian stood behind her.
“Why didn’t you say so earlier?” Darian teased again as he started unfastening Fahira’s wedding dress one by one.
From behind the mirror, Darian could see Fahira’s unease, her cheeks turning a shade of pink.
“Can you step outside for a moment, Darian?” Fahira asked shyly, holding the front of her dress.
Susi and Mira were still frozen in place as Darian and Fahira passed by. “Sus, pinch my hand, please!” Mira reached out her hand to Susi, her gaze still fixed on the newlyweds. “I think we’re going crazy, Mir! There’s no way the boss would smile so sweetly at us like that,” Susi replied, pinching Mira’s arm hard, causing her to wince in pain.
“What are you two still standing here for?” Ray’s voice suddenly sneaked into their ears, making their bodies tense up. Without paying attention to Ray’s pained expression, the two women hit his shoulder hard. Ignoring his cry of pain, they walked over to the buffet table that offered various mouth-watering dishes.

“Need some help?” Darian teased as he got up from his comfortable position. With a reluctant smile, Fahira nodded. Her heart started beating faster as Darian stood behind her.
“You should have said something earlier!” Darian teased again as he began to unbutton Fahira’s wedding dress one by one.
From behind the mirror, Darian could see Fahira’s uneasiness. A tinge of blush appeared on her cheeks as she kept her head down in embarrassment.
“Can you step out of the room for a moment?” Fahira said timidly while holding the front of her dress.
“Why should I leave the room?” Darian asked, teasing his wife even more.
“I want to change my clothes first and take a shower. I can’t possibly go to the bathroom with this dress on,” Fahira said, frustrated that Darian didn’t seem to understand her request.
Still looking at Fahira through the mirror, Darian approached her and planted a kiss on her neck. “Why are you embarrassed? I’ve seen it all before,” he whispered huskily. His fingers started playing on Fahira’s bare back, leaving her defenseless.
“I’m still sweaty. I want to take a shower!” Fahira protested, standing up from her seat.
“Well then, let’s shower together!” Darian replied with a grin, making Fahira even more flustered as her face turned redder.
With a grin on his face, Darian moved Fahira’s hands away from her dress. Before Fahira could say anything, Darian’s lips were already pressed against hers. He gently kissed Fahira, who felt cold due to her nervousness. Fahira’s nervousness started to melt away as she responded to Darian’s kiss. Gradually, Fahira’s hands moved up and wrapped around Darian’s neck. Unconsciously, her dress started to slide down, leaving Fahira topless.
Darian briefly released their locked lips to catch a breath. Then he smiled, admiring the beautiful sight before him. Realizing Darian’s gaze, Fahira’s hands quickly covered her front.
“Why cover up? Everything already belongs to me, my love!” Darian whispered, kissing Fahira’s shoulder, which led to the curve of her white neck. “Darian!” Fahira whispered as she moved her face away from Darian’s neck, feeling a slight pain from the small bite he gave her.
“We should take a shower and pray together, Honey, and then we can continue later,” Darian whispered before lifting Fahira’s body and leading her into the bathroom, leaving Fahira with no choice but to hide her blushing face in Darian’s chest.
