Chapter 2199
Chapter 2199
“Wait a minute!” Alexander said. After a closer look, he added, unsure of his answer, “He’s…a prince
from Yudonia?”
Anastasia nodded. “That’s right. He’s Prince Ross of Yudonia. The queen’s eldest son.”
“Your dad sent you here?” Alexander caught on.
Anastasia replied, “He’s tied up at work and can’t let others see him frequenting your place. So he
asked me to visit you and tell you that Prince Ross would visit Hyderland in two days.”
“I think I’ve heard about it.” Alexander did not pay much attention to the news since he was
preoccupied with saving Lily.
Moreover, the prince was nearly forty, but the queen had no intention of abdicating. Like her many
other sons and grandchildren, Prince Ross had no absolute authority and would only occasionally pay
courtesy visits to other countries.
“My dad says it’s an opportunity.” Anastasia was just repeating what her father said. She did not fully
understand what it meant or why the visit was an opportunity for Alexander.
When she asked her father about it, he only told her she did not need to know and that Alexander
would understand when she passed the message. Still, she could not help but ask, “Alex, do you get
the message?”
After some thought, Alexander slowly nodded. “I think I do.”
“You do?” Anastasia was surprised. “How come I don’t? Is my dad saying the prince visiting Hyderland
would present an opportunity to rescue Lily?”
“Yes, he is.” Nodding, Alexander continued, “I remember your dad knows the prince quite well as a
personal friend.”
“I think so. My dad says I met him when I was little, but I don’t remember.” Anastasia shook her head
and tried in vain to recall.
When she was little, Cameron sometimes brought her on his visits if the other party had children. Doing
so could somehow liven up the atmosphere. However, since she was very young, Anastasia could not
remember much about those visits.
“I see.” Alexander caught on right away.
Since Cameron knew the prince as a friend, it would be easier to get inside the Yudonian Embassy
again. Not only that, Fred might lose his cool as well.
Although their two visits to the embassy yielded nothing, Fred was so alarmed that he had not made
any significant moves for now. Fred was wary that Alexander would return on other pretexts and would
not postpone his experiment forever.
Moreover, he could not risk them rescuing Lily. Therefore, both sides were simply biding their time.
“So, we can rescue Lily once the prince arrives? That’s great news!” Anastasia chuckled happily. “How
about I ask my father to tell the prince to come sooner?”
“It’s not necessary.” Alexander was amused but dissuaded her. He knew it would not work because the
prince would not bother. Also, it was not Cameron’s place to do so.Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
