His Ex-wife Is An Heiress (Amara and Tobias)

Chapter 0049

The following morning, after waking up and taking a quick shower, Amara decided to head downstairs and check if the person responsible for her late night predicament was home. And as luck would have it, Melanie was downstairs, watching TV while munching on a slice of crusty toast bread. She looked up from the meal at the sound of her friend approaching. "Morning." She greeted happily, smiling from ear to ear as if she knew something Amara didn't.

"And what's got you happy so early in the morning?" Amara casted a suspicious gaze at Melanie as she walked over to the kitchen and began brewing coffee, setting two slice of bread into the toaster on the side. Melanie's grin widened and her eyes glinted. "So," She began, a mischievous smile adorning her lips. "Tell me, did the toy help?"

At the mention of the toy, Amara nearly dropped the mug in her hands.

Melanie took in her reaction before she sprang up from the chair and rushed at her. "It worked, didn't it? You don't even need to answer," She pointed at Amara's reddening cheeks. "Your cheeks say all that's meant to be said." "Mel," Amara groaned, covering her face. "How did you even know?"

"Well," The brunette chuckled. "You didn't exactly close the door, so, I heard everything."

"Everything?!" Amara squealed face flushing redder than it previously was.

"Yup." Melanie grinned. "You must have had a good night's rest, considering the amount of screaming you did."

"Shut up," Amara whined and covered her face. "This is so embarrassing. I'm definitely going to move out."

Melanie's laughter laugh seized the moment those words left Amara's lip. "You're still head strong on that idea? I mean I did promise not to bring any pimp home and if it's about your moans," She playfully knocked her knuckles against the walls. "This baby is soundproof... as long as the door is shut properly."

Amara glared at Melanie, silently asking her to get drop the topic before she be the one who does the dropping.

"Fine," Melanie conceded, but none the less, pouted like a reluctant baby. "I won't pester you on it anymore. Have you found a place to move into?"

Amara nodded her head. She opened her phone and accessed the pictures Lorenzo had sent her, placing her phone on the kitchen island for Melanie to see as she retrieved her coffee.

"Lorenzo took the initiative to buy me a place,"

Melanie examined the outer picture of the house as Amara explained.

"It's on the east side of town, close to the coast, closer to the office than your place."

Melanie shot Amara a playful offended look. "Seems nice." She commented. "When do you plan on moving in."

"Today."

"Today? Why so soon?"

"It's closer to my work place, Mel,"

Amara explained. "Besides, I cameTêxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

keep freeloading here forever. You're my best friend and I love you, but I can't just stay here forever.

"Sure, you can." Melanie teased and Amara shook her head in amusement.

"Anyways, the house is ready for me to move in. So, I should get my things packed."

"Do you need help with that?" Melanie asked as Amara stuck a toast in her mouth before heading for the stairs.

"If you're free, then sure, come along."

"Alright." Melanie nodded and stood up, following Amara upstairs.

Entering her room, Amara pulled out the packing boxes she had prepared beforehand and handed some to Melanie who began taking care of the clothes while she worked on her

electronics and shoes.

It was a quick process, but a rather exhausting one. After all, packing took more effort than most people gave it credit for.

After a few hours, all of Amara's

stuff had successfully been packed and placed in the boot of Melanie's car, who had insisted that she drive Amara and see the place in person, making sure that the environment and neighborhood was suitable enough for her to stay in

"You can visit anytime." Amara assured Melanie as she opened the door to the driver's seat, intending to take the wheel.

"Nah," Melanie slapped her hand away. "I'll drive, besides, it's not like we can't meet anytime."

"True," Amara nodded and climbed into the passenger seat. "But, it's nice to have a space to myself."

"Personal space ain't a thing when I exist." Melanie joked as Amara punched in the location of her new abode.

In little under an hour, Melanie's car came to a stop in front of a rather LARGE property.
