Chapter 390
Chapter 390
"Abigail!" Liam said out loud.
"Mr. Jones, what's the point of this question?" Abigail looked into his eyes.
Liam was speechless.
His gaze settled on her face, while he couldn't give a coherent answer.
Abigail smiled, "Mr. Jones, it's too late. If there's nothing else, I'll go in first!" After that, Abigail turned
and left.
Liam stood there, looking at her back, unable to utter a word.
However, from the bottom of his heart, she was unspeakably upset.
For the next few days, Leo took Abigail to go and off work every day.
They were always enjoying their chats.
There were some rumors in the company that Abigail and Leo were a couple. But Abigail never gave
an explanation but only replied with a smile.
For her, there was no need for any explanation.
Meanwhile, Dan was anxious for Liam, because the latter didn't take any action.
Liam sat in his office, looked out the window, sunk in thought.
At this moment, Dan walked in. He used to think that Mr. Jones was "devious", but he could almost
smell the sorrow from Liam's back.
"Mr. Jones!" Dan handed over a document. "Here are all the lists for this month!" As she spoke, he
placed it in front of Liam.
"Okay." Liam just gave him a short reply.
Dan didn't know how to react.
It was obvious that Mr. Jones felt upset for Abigail. But since Liam did not take any action, Dan could
not offer any assistance.
In the end, he had no choice but to go out. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
Liam did not leave until the night.
Just then, his phone rang.
Seeing the number, he immediately answered the call.
"Grandma."
"Liam, where are you now?" Senior Mrs. Jones asked.
"I'm at the company."
"Do you work overtime?" Senior Mrs. Jones pursued.
Liam paused for a second and replied, "There are some things to be finished."
"Your parents and I are eating in the Hong's Restaurant. Come here quickly!" Senior Mrs. Jones said.
"Grandma, you may eat first!"
Hearing this, she frowned. "Hurry up! Come here with Abigail. I haven't seen her for a long time!"
Just as he was about to refuse, he suddenly remembered something. "Okay, I'll call her!"
"Okay, waiting for your call!" After that, she hung up the phone.
Sitting in the office all day long, Liam recouped some energy at this moment.
After a long hesitation, he picked up his phone to call Abigail.
She answered the phone after a long while.
"Hello, it's Abigail!"
Hearing this, Liam felt a little excited and nervous.
'Damn it!'
"Abigail, where are you now?" Liam asked bluntly.
When she heard his voice, Abigail paused slightly and said, "I'm having dinner. What's the matter?"
"Dinner? With whom? Leo?" Liam asked a series of questions.
"What's the matter?"
"Grandma wants to see you!" Liam explained.
