Chapter 255
Chapter 255
Liam replied with a smile, "I'm afraid you've been distracted, or you wouldn't know I'm looking at you.
Abigail, you always have your eyes on me."
Abigail scoffed, "You are so confident."
"I deem it a virtue."
"I mean you're narcissistic."
Liam was speechless. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
Only then did Liam realize that Abigail was sniping at him.
He turned to glare at Abigail and retorted, "I am not."
Abigail didn't refute him.
This conversation would come to nothing, so Abigail just smiled and said nothing more.
Liam rolled his eyes at her and asked, "When are you going back to work?"
"Tomorrow."
"Good," Liam replied. He'd rather Abigail go to work than stay at home. At least he could see her in the
company.
They spent the rest of the drive in companionable silence.
Leo arrived a little earlier than Abigail and Liam.
When they got out of the car, Leo said, "I've made a reservation!"
Abigail nodded and smiled at Leo. He was really sweet and considerate.
Watching Abigail smile at Leo, Liam was itching to seal her mouth with a tape. She had never smiled at
him like that before. He reminded himself that he was a gentleman and couldn't lose his temper.
So he forced a smile. "Thank you, Mr. Harris." Then he walked into the restaurant with Abigail.
Leo stared after them with unreadable eyes and then caught up with them.
During dinner, Liam was arrogant as usual while Leo was still gentle and considerate.
The air between them was tense but Abigail turned a blind eye to it.
Before they finished eating, an unexpected woman showed up.
She was no one else.
She was Liam's current girlfriend, the daughter of the Miller Family, Olive.
Her eyes darkened as she walked out with her friends and saw the three of them.
She wondered what feature of Abigail could win Leo's and Liam's hearts.
She was really jealous, but she couldn't show it. She said something to her friend and then walked their
way.
"Liam!"
Her voice was heard when Liam was talking with Abigail.
The three of them turned to look at Olive.
Abigail felt so lucky that Leo was there too. If she and Liam were dining alone, Olive would definitely
misunderstand them.
Abigail didn't say anything. Anyway, everyone knew that she and Olive didn't get along. She didn't have
to talk to her with a fake smile.
Leo ignored Olive too.
Only Liam replied.
He was also a little surprised when he saw Olive.
"Why are you here?"
"I'm here to meet a friend of mine. I didn't expect to meet you."
