Chapter 6 She Was Sick
Chapter 6 She Was Sick
Greyson lost his mind and uttered harsh words to threaten her.
Hattie's fingertips twitched while the vital signs displayed on the vital signs monitor finally climbed back
a bit.
Greyson grabbed her fingers tightly and increased the volume of his voice, "Listen to me, Hattie, I won't
allow you to die! You can't die!"
"The patient's hemorrhage has stopped! Hurry up, we need to give her another blood transfusion. Let's
get ready right away..."
Doctors got busy with the resuscitation.
After resuscitation, Hattie's condition went into complete remission.
It was late at night when Hattie was wheeled out of the operating room and taken to the general ward.
Greyson sat on the edge of her bed and stared at Hattie's pale face, his eyes filled with suppressed
emotions.
He really couldn't read her…
She loved money so much, but never asked him for it.
Now that she was pregnant, she could actually make herself worth a hundred times more with this
child, but she…so stubbornly wanted to have an abortion.
And she even almost lost her life during the operation.
What the hell was she thinking?
The door of the ward was pushed open by a doctor.
"Sir, may I ask if you're…Miss Moss's husband?"
Greyson was silent for a long time, and finally asked without retort, "Is there something wrong?" Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
"Well…" The doctor said as she flipped open Hattie's medical report, "I just got Miss Moss's detailed
medical report, and we found that in her blood ......"
"Young master!" At that very moment, another voice rang out abruptly. A bodyguard walked in and said
urgently, "Master wants you to go back now. He said he has something urgent to tell you."
Greyson frowned impatiently, not wanting to go back.
The bodyguard hurriedly added, "Master said the matter is very urgent, you must go back immediately!"
Greyson took a glance at Hattie, who was sleeping quietly, and thought to himself that he would leave
for just an hour or two, and that nothing could possibly have happened. Finally, he nodded and followed
the bodyguard back to Morgan's residence.
But, Finnley's so-called emergency was actually to introduce a fiancée to Greyson!
"Dad, if you called me back for the purpose of saying these boring things, then forgive me for not being
able to accompany you!"
When he finished speaking, he stood up and was about to leave.
Finnley slapped the table heavily and said in a fury, "Are you still thinking about that bitch Hattie? She's
just a bitch who is tempted by money, not worthy of being our family's daughter-in-law at all!"
"It's none of her business, I won't agree to the alliance, and I've absolutely no interest in the fiancée
you introduced to me! If you like her, I don't mind if you find me a stepmother!"
"Nonsense!" Finnley was infuriated, "I'm doing it for the sake of the family, and you dare disobey!"
Greyson simply ignored his words.
He was now the power that be in the Morgan family. He was ruthless in dealings and wielded a lot of
power, so he was not at all afraid of the verbal threats from Finnley.
Then he strode out of the Morgan family.
After he left, the steward went up to Finnley and whispered to him, "Our plan to take Miss Mos has
failed. Young Master is now keeping an eye on her, and we've no way of doing it."
Finnley's expression was glum.
The steward added, "According to Young Master's temper, even if we hide Miss Moss, he'll still use
every means to find her out. Besides, Young Master will definitely be sad if he watches Miss Moss die.
Better to suffer a small loss than a long sorrow, why don't we ......"
He came up to Finnley's ear and whispered a plan.
…
Hattie finally woke up after two days of coma.
The miscarriage and massive blood loss left her unusually weak and she spent a full week in the
hospital.
When she was discharged from the hospital, the bruises on her chin and neck were still visible, and
Hattie's constitution had suddenly changed for some reason. Her skin was particularly prone to
bruising, and a random bump would leave a very scary mark.
She had surreptitiously looked it up on the Internet that her condition was due to the blood lesion.
It seemed that the poison in her body was eating away at her body little by little.
…
After being discharged from the hospital, she was still taken by Greyson to his villa.
But this time, Greyson didn't come back once and ignored her completely, as if he had really forgotten
about her.
Hattie was getting better, but the desire to leave, had become even stronger.
She didn't want Greyson to watch her die…
